Astrology of the Future at the 2025 Spring Equinox - What's Coming in April, May, and June

New experiences of course, since it's the beginning of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and the days will be longer than the nights for 6 months to come. The Sun is now entering Aries, promising renewal of energy and activity, even as we find opportunity and protection in bringing other things to their natural end.

Here we celebrate that it’s also the Autumnal Equinox down under!! The Northern Hemisphere Vernal Equinox and Southern Hemisphere Autumnal Equinox occurs 2:01 am PDT March 20. It is said that a chart done for this point in time offers a snapshot of the cosmic and literal weather for the next 3 months.

There is an old tradition that offers us two times when "the year begins," one at the Vernal Equinox, the other at the Autumnal. Perhaps that tradition came from explorers who saw the seasons flip between the Northern and Southern, going from the beginning of warm to the beginning of cold as they moved up and down the latitudes.

So today is the last day of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the last day of Summer in the Southern. The nights will now begin to be longer than the days for 6 months to come in the Southern Hemisphere, with lengthening days in the Northern. The Sun is now entering Aries, promising new ways of acting on our own initiative, as well as new ways of relating to others. Both Aries and Libra represent new ways of acting on ideals, new ways of overcoming inertia to find new rhythms of action and new perspectives.

This is an excellent time for looking at what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of the ocean on to dry land. Just keep following through on the future you have dreamed of while the Sun has been in Pisces, since every day is good for making a better future real. We up North have done our Winter preparation, and are beginning to plant the seeds that will grow over the next 180 days. In the Southern latitudes, they’re beginning to reap the harvest of what they've done and not done.

Whether North or South, keep following through on the new roles, new initiatives, new feelings, new flow, and new ways of relating to others on more refined levels you’ve already begun to experience in the recent past, since the season to come is the time to transfigure our future into more perfect forms. Regardless of where we live, what follows explores elements we all can expect to experience over the next 13 weeks.

An Overview of the Equinox

The 2025 Spring Equinox begins a season of transfiguration and a radically different collective atmosphere, as Neptune is entering Aries for the first time since April 1861. Because both Mercury and Venus are RX in Aries and both make an inferior conjunction to the Sun just after the Equinox, expect 13 weeks of rewinds, returns, reviews, rethinking, and reconnecting related to things past. This season will give us a new look at past, present, and future relationships, ideas, leading to new interpretations for all of us where we have 10/11 Aries.

With so many planets in late Pisces and early Aries, the coming season is totally future oriented, though with the RXs it’s more of a “backing into the future before it comes” type of energy. Finish Pisces lessons of the past while taking a second look at the Aries initiatives in play since early Feb. Visualize the future clearly, seeing a more evolved role you can enjoy as you “listen to the inner voice” and find an ancient Wisdom blowing through the windows of your mind.

The primary feature of this Equinox chart is that all the planets except the Moon are between Pluto in Aquarius and Mars in Cancer. That makes the Moon at 7 Sagittarius the nozzle/handle of the Bucket Jones pattern, showing the next 90 days will feature a lot of expansion, inspiration, and freedom to break away from the known and familiar.

As the Moon is in a Disseminating phase, expect a lot of “information distribution” and innovation to be in the air. As we are told this phase is about evaluating and synthesizing, see the patterns which need to be weaved, and which need to be unwoven. This indicates the next 90 days will feature a lot of expansion, freedom, and many finding a new love, a new enthusiasm, or new passion. Because the Moon is the nozzle for all the other planetary energies, use Sagittarius energy to focus your expression.

The handle of a Bucket pattern shows the cause, the solution to a problem, or the way to release the potential. If you need to get a grip on something or give focus to something, be the best Moon in Sag you can be! Show humor, show imagination, allow your heart to express itself, experience a greater love or sense of life’s adventure, and create the space to enjoy the vast possibilities now opening.

The Disseminating phase wants to “spread and share the news and views,” and is said to be assimilative and synthesizing. This is the phase of “the Weaver,” where we give and receive information so share abundantly, and you’ll find yourself far more aware by June than you are now!

The Moon is on a degree of “Cupid knocking on the door,” and that’s the degree of the Mercury retrograde theme for 2025, we can expect to see dramatic events related to the new love being stirred up in the many peculiar ways that can happen.

What Rules the Sun, and What Are the Main Aspects in Play?

On this Equinox, worldly ruler of the Sun in Aries is Mars, which is at 21 Cancer, a degree of “putting on the show,” and “supreme realization of a life ambition.” Its spiritual ruler, Pluto, is at 4 Aquarius, sprouting healing seeds. Be broad minded with an eye to the unfolding Aquarius future sprouting globally.

With Pluto as the spiritual ruler, keep it organized, efficient, responsible, and expansive. Be economical in your precise use of spiritual energy, and remember that no one should be able to pull you out of your spiritual center. With Sun in close sextile to Pluto, this should be a marvelously efficient and productive season ahead!

As Neptune leads the Sun, be compassionate with an eye to universal connectedness when “entering the Light” as you receive the abundance promised to you since last year. Listen to the inner Voice of Wisdom, and bless the passages with as much forgiveness as you are able to generate. Saying hello and goodbye within the larger collective context will lead to strength and resilience.

Merc/Venus RX sextile Pluto w/ the Sun show past events will come up allowing us to see the truth of what has been concealed before now. As I noted in my book A New Look at Mercury RX, in my research I found that many criminals were busted during these periods, and previous crimes are exposed. I expect a lot of prior mischief to be uncovered these next 90 days, allowing new perspectives on the rebeginnings in play since Dec 2024.

We can enjoy our lives to a greater degree IF we know how and when to say goodbye, and how and when to say hello. A crucial factor is Venus septile Uranus, showing a “fork in the road of destiny.” Because Venus is RX, we experienced this turning point during early February at the first septile. Current “hot zones” of this septile are around 3-7 Aries, 24-28 Taurus, 16-20 Cancer, 7-11 Virgo, 29 Libra-3 Scorpio, 20-24 Sagittarius, and 12-16 Aquarius. We’ll know more in the 3rd week of April and early May.

The other crucial aspect at the Equinox is Mercury biseptile Mars, showing a reconsideration, review, or reprise of the first set of biseptiles set into motion when Mercury and Venus were both in this zone. The hot zones here are around 6-10 Aries, 28 Taurus-2 Gemini, 19-23 Cancer, 11-15 Virgo, 2-6 Scorpio, 24-28 Sagittarius, and 15-19 Aquarius. This puts the rulers of our Aries, Gemini, Virgo, and Scorpio houses at a fork in the road from early Aries to late Cancer.

As you can see, these two 7th harmonic aspects sets a huge field of energy into dynamic motion! And because of the adjacent and overlapping degrees, we see it affects 3-10 Aries, 24 Taurus- 2 Gemini, 16-23 Cancer, 7-15 Virgo, 29 Libra- 6 Scorpio, 20-28 Sagittarius, 12-19 Aquarius!

The blessing to this Equinox chart is Mars trine Saturn and Neptune, stabilizing the flow and giving us an ease of understanding the “feeling field” we’ve navigating because of so much Water.

Venus is a primary player this season, as it’s headed to an Inferior conjunction with the Sun on a degree of “Avatarship.” Venus also forms a quintile with Jupiter, promising unique gifts and blessings for those with planets or points near 2-6 Aries, 14-18 Gemini, 26-30 Leo, 8-12 Scorpio, and 20-24 Capricorn.

Venus in Aries is in the sign of its “exile,” but it is on a degree giving us glimpses of how we “levitated to a new sense of Being” in the past, or perhaps glimpses of our subconscious mind’s desire for a new experience of Self. This is a reflective process and a review of things past; much will be clearer by May when Venus is direct and moving back through its shadow zone for the third time.

So the next 90 days brings Venusian returns, reflections, memories and reinterpretations of values and relationships we once knew. Open to a new inspiration related to these “levitations in Self awareness” when Mercury makes its Inferior conjunction with the Sun at 5 Aries, the degree Venus occupies in this Equinox chart. See what factors are at work in your subconscious mind about why you want or don’t want something, or feel like you should have received something you’ve never received. Take a new look at why you have the feelings you have, and reinterpret them within a wider perspective. Keep updating your understanding and vision so you don’t get stuck in loops seeing or wanting what’s no longer there, or which has become less important than other things on your plate.

With Saturn, North Node, and Neptune at the end of Pisces, we’re clearly at the end of the end of an old era, so let go of a lot of old ghosts and let them flow down the time stream. This season helps us prepare for the future with a greater love calling us to embrace a greater adventure. Don’t fear letting go, go deep within and reconnect with Source, and forgive much.

The next 3 months introduces us to a new threshold in collective spiritual realization. With Pluto leading the entire occupied span, we will be doing major purifications related to the collective Aquarian seeds being sprouted. Some will experience life changing events which reveal “healing powers” and/or the ability to restore health to what needs reintegration.”

Looking Forward

This will be a season of our empathic and intuitive connection leading us to the Light and then finding new initiatives which allow us greater freedom to act. Feel all you need to, but remember time is a one way street, and there’s no way to go back to anything. We can only move forward into a new understanding, a new role, and a new way to enjoy the here and now.

The coming 13 weeks helps us be our Higher Self by being joyous, embracing a new life with fewer inhibitions. The future is on the way at high speed as Neptune’s entry into Aries shows a new collective atmosphere which will take clearer shape once Saturn enters Aries in late May. So this is a visionary and intuitive season of moving forward, furthering the emergent Aries patterns while forgiving and releasing the old Piscean patterns. Learn when to leap forward, when to hold back, and when to be calm while shedding old people, old ideas, old feelings, and old memories.

The next 90 days can bring a vaster freedom, deeper wisdom, clear visions of the future, as well as echoes and memories from the past. This is past and future “coming to center.” See how to express your individual Light in your own way, embracing the dance of Spirit and matter. If memories of old sorrows come up, bless and release the hurt or misunderstanding to find more power in understanding you are not that now.

Be a practical servant of the larger flow, and remember you are free. Begin preparing for the near future. Memories will be strong the next 13 weeks. You’ll feel a lot; much of what you’re feeling is a timeless experience you share with others, and by blessing and forgiving whatever it is you’re picking up on, you can release yourself from ghosts of your past.

This season compels us to do our own thing in our own way, embracing the new and moving forward into the future. Mobilize, use spiritual force with precision and good humor, don’t feel obligated to carry things from the past one more step, and go deeper into your relationship with self, others, and Source. We’re all in this together, and each of us who has walked the walk now has wisdom at our disposal which constitutes our mandate for the future. Things are definitely on the move!

See what has ended and what’s beginning. Just make sure you’re updating your understanding and vision so you don’t get stuck in loops seeing what’s no longer there, or which has become less important than other things which are on your plate.

This will be a season of our empathic and intuitive connection leading us to the Light as we move through deep waters of Life and relationships, and then finding doors to new initiatives which allow us more freedom to act independently of others. We will all be looking at what we’re leaving behind, and while the longing for what was will be strong, it’s extremely important to keep in mind there is work to be done. Feel all you need to, but remember time is a one way street, and there’s no way to go back to anything. We can only move forward into a new understanding, a new role, and a new way to enjoy the here and now.

The coming 13 weeks will help us heal into our Higher Self by learning to be more optimistic and cooperative in focusing our power in practical needed ways. Our greatest growth is through empathy and a sense of the abundance we have as a process of future abundance to come. This will be a visionary and intuitive season of moving forward, furthering the emergent Aries patterns while blessing, forgiving, and releasing the old Piscean patterns.

Learn when to leap forward, when to hold back, and when to be calm while shedding old people, old ideas, old feelings, and old memories. Now that the old year and parts of our old life have ended, we have the ability to become the enduring power of our “Is-Be-ness.”

These energies will be in play through the Northern Hemisphere Summer Solstice at 7:42 pm PDT on June 20. That Solstice chart will be VERY important due to the Mars in a Yod quincunx Neptune and Pluto with Sun square Saturn and conjunct Jupiter. I’ll write more about that in mid-June.

The next 13 weeks can bring a vaster compassion, understanding, and connection with our inner wisdom, so accept the new inspiration as you contemplate the fact you have the ability to read the trends and signs pointing the way to using power effectively in the future. This renews our ability to take the initiative to become more authentic as we reconsider recent beginnings to see what needs to be adjusted, specialized, or accepted/rejected. Look at the dependable life structures you’ve built and quicken the pace of your Aquarian embrace!

Open to expressing your individual Light in your own way, and allow yourself to feel a more universal wisdom and compassion. Embrace the universal dance of Spirit and matter. And if memories of old sorrows come up, bless and release the hurt or misunderstanding of the past to find more power in understanding you are not that now.

So we now enter a time of turning toward new directions, and will find stability as we learn to enjoy ourselves and the pace of the process. Take responsibility, and take note of how to use power in an elegant and responsible way. When you can, get away from the world to receive a new inspiration, knowing you’ve actually made it into a new world and can easily follow and enjoy whatever has opened since 2021.

This is a season to become more active and begin preparing for the near future. Memories will be strong the next 13 weeks. You’ll feel a lot; understand that much of what you’re feeling is a timeless experience you share with others, and maybe by blessing and forgiving whatever it is you’re picking up on, you can find forgiveness and release yourself.

This season compels us to do our own thing in our own way, embracing the new and letting go of the past. Mobilize, use spiritual force with precision and good humor, don’t feel obligated to carry things from the past one more step, and go deeper into your relationship with self, others, and Source. We’re all in this together, and each of us who has walked the walk now has wisdom at our disposal which constitutes our mandate for the future.
