6 Reasons Marijuana Might Be the Key To Your Relationship Troubles

weed-relationship

With the legalization of marijuana becoming more and more widespread, research on its health benefits has never been better.  But maybe you don’t use marijuana for medicinal reasons and simply enjoy it recreationally to relax and unwind.  Maybe you’re like me and like to use it before exercising.

Whatever your reasons may be, you might not know how beneficial it can be for relationships.  Yes, your relationships.

And while you might be hesitant to believe that weed alone can make a relationship stronger, here are six reasons why you should think about introducing it as an activity for you and your partner:

It makes you fight less

The Washington Post reports that a study conducted by the University of Buffalo discovered that couples who smoke weed together tend to have less violent relationships and are less likely to fight with each other.  Which is perfect for creating more space for growth as a couple.

It eases jealousy

If you’re the type to get jealous fast and often, then smoking weed might be for you.  Weed eases anxiety and calms the nerves, depending on the strain that you smoke.  Meaning couples who smoke together are usually too relaxed to worry about any sort of drama.

Sex is way better

If you’ve been wanting to introduce weed into your relationship, one of the most enticing reasons to do so is that it’s been scientifically proven to make sex better.  It can make orgasms much more intense, can make you last longer and is even considered an aphrodisiac in some cultures.

Want mind-blowing sex?  Take a hit from your bong before hopping into bed.

Weed makes you hungry

One stereotype that weed will probably never shake is it undeniable ability to make you feel like you’re starving.  This is because it significantly enhances your senses, specifically, your sense of smell; which basically makes you want to eat everything in sight.

And all of us know just how hard it can be to eat with others.  Sharing a meal with another person is a ritual that has been sacred for ages.  Smoking weed together makes it that much easier.

Your best conversations happen when you’re high

One aspect of smoking weed is its ability to affect how you think.  And smoking weed in a group of people tends to break down any barriers that get put up by social pressures and anxieties, creating a setting where everyone feels comfortable to be who they are.

If you’ve ever wanted to have deep, meaningful conversation with your partner, try smoking a little bit beforehand.

Smoking together means you trust each other

Being stoned with your partner can build and strengthen the bond that the two of you share, because you’re in an altered state of mind together.  You’re trusting that other person to be there for you during this time and they’re doing the same.  You are each a safe space for one another during these times.
