Do you feel like you’re fighting every day to stay calm, cool, and collected? It’s common for people to feel that way, especially since there’s so much going on in the world or your life. There’s just so much uncertainty in the world, so much going on, and so little time in one day to conquer everything.
Working through your problems means that you have to fight against anxiety, anger, fear, stress, frustration, and numerous other emotions. All of the emotions we’ve discussed can leave you feeling frantic, which has negative effects on your health and how you make decisions.
One thing is for sure in life, and that’s it will put you under insane pressure situations – making it so that you must make difficult decisions that will either hinder or hurt your progress. When emotions get to you, you will most likely forget to capitalize on the best opportunities moving forward. Your ability to stay calm when you’re under pressure could be the difference between the success you want to have in your life, or complete failure.
Why Staying Calm Is Important
Being able to keep calm while dealing with pressure means that you’re less likely to suffer from the effects of worry, anxiety, or stress. A calm approach will provide you with a sense of control over the circumstances and events of your life, and a better sense of control over your thoughts and emotions, and yourself.
Staying calm under pressure will also increase your ability to focus on the right things in stressful situations at the right time and in the right way. It will also help you be able to communicate your needs better with other people and allow you to make intelligent, effective, and emotion-free decisions.
CBD Gummies and How it Can Help
Over the past few years, we’ve seen an increase in the use of alternative medicines, such as CBD products like cannabis oil or cannabis gummies.
CBD is a great de-stressor because it reduces our biological response to anxiety. It does this by increasing the number signals through serotonin receptors and regenerating neurons in your brain. Just a few CBD gummies and you’ll be able to tackle anything – especially when it comes to making decisions.
CBD oil isn’t like THC, which makes you high. Instead, CBD only provides a chill factor without giving you those mind distortions that THC does. Which allows you to slow your mind down and helps you stay calm when it would normally feel like the world was caving in on you.
If you’re facing a tough decision, try using CBD gummies to help you calm down. CBD gummies are easy to use and are delicious treats that you can take anywhere without having to worry about getting high.
What Else Can I Do to Keep Calm?
To thrive and survive we need to find ways to handle the uncertainty and pressure that is thrown at us daily. There are quite a few studies out there that show the deep connection between productivity and staying calm. Here are a few additional things that you can do that you might find helpful in staying calm:
Plan Ahead
While we don’t always know what’s going to happen when we start our day, but we tend to have a pretty good idea of the general types of pressure that we might end up facing. Decide in advance on a few different possibilities that could happen during the day and how you would go about handling them. A simple formula, such as, “If X happens, I’ll do Y,” can make all the difference when you face stress.
Deal with One Thing at a Time
For most people, multi-tasking can lead to a disaster. So, instead of trying to juggle multiple tasks at one, see through one task and then head to the next one that needs to be done. This helps your brain focus on the task at hand without being torn between different tasks at one time – you’ll feel calmer and less stressed out.
Count to 10
When it feels like you’re constantly being bombarded from different angles, it’s a good idea to take a short break and then deal with the situation with a new set of eyes. Just by taking a minute to count to 10 gives you a distance that you need to start a new perspective. This process can help you realize that the problem you’re dealing with isn’t the primary issue after all.
Control Your Breathing
Whenever we feel anxious, we tend to forget how to breathe and end up taking quick, shallow breaths. This is often called hyperventilation, and it can make you feel light-headed, panicky, and dizzy – it can also interfere with our judgement. If you find yourself hyperventilating, take deep breaths through your nose, hold for a second, and release from your mouth. Repeat this until you feel calmer.
Focus on the Positive
Getting after yourself for not getting something done isn’t going to help you in the long run. Instead, it feels much better to be grateful for how much you’ve gotten done. The more you practice looking on the bright side, the less grim and frightening a stressful situation feels.
Seek Support and Delegate
Don’t be afraid to reach out to others for help when you need it and offer them help in return. There is comfort in others when you’re feeling stressed out.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
Not all tasks are created equal or as important as another. Some of them can be left undone for a longer time without any consequences than other tasks. By prioritizing your workload, you are able to maintain a sense of control.
Be Flexible
It doesn’t matter how carefully you planned something, there’s always a chance that something is going to pop up that takes precedence over everything else you’ve planned. When this happens, take a moment to regroup your thoughts and prepare to deal with the new issue.
