What Are The Benefits Of Being An Empath?
- Details
- Written by Diane Katherine

It has to be said, there’s no getting away from it, life as an Empath can be difficult.
You may even question whether there are any benefits.
I suppose there’s not many who would deny that being an Empath has its challenges, and these are challenges that most other humans don’t have to deal with.
However, I have found that most of the challenges that arise for an Empath are born from being sensitive to the modern world, and the many toxins that are in it, from experiencing the energy of a stressed and fearful population and being out-of-balance.
THE POSITIVE ASPECT OF EMPATH LIFE
Over the years, I have had so many comments from Empaths not understanding what they are here to do, and not finding any benefits of being an Empath. And today I hope to change that.
I have written a lot about the downsides of Empath life and ways to find balance, in my articles and books. And in this post, I want to focus on some of the incredible and positive aspects of Empath life.
To some, this post may seem egotistical, even arrogant. But one thing is for sure, it is needed.
During difficult times, many Empaths need reassurance of who they are and the purpose they serve, because it often appears as though all they do is ‘feel’.
This post isn’t a way to boost egos or make anyone feel superior. It’s about helping the Empaths of the world see and understand the purpose and benefits of their gift.
So here goes:
- EMPATHS HAVE ADVANCED INTUITION
When they tune into its dynamic vibration, their intuition, also known as the Knowing, is a powerful tool that protects and serves the Empath. It is a silent friend and guardian that helps an Empath when making decisions, or just finding their way in life.
In a way, it’s like the Empath has an early warning system in place, that can guide them away from unnecessary encounters.
- EMPATHS HAVE UNIQUE LIFE EXPERIENCES
Being energy sensitive offers the Empath experiences that few others get to have. The energy sensations they undergo when with people or within places are unique and precious.
Reading energy is an ability that comes naturally to an Empath but is something most others have to train years for.
- EMPATHS TEND TO BE CREATIVE AND HAVE WICKED IMAGINATIONS
Having a vibrant imagination means life will never be dull for an Empath. And this is something that money can’t buy.
There’s nothing more satisfying to the soul than spending time creatively, in which ever area of life you choose, the joy it brings is second to none.
All an Empath has to do is tune into their creativity and away they go.
- EMPATHS LEARN AND EVOLVE FASTER THAN MOST
Have you noticed how many experiences that you have, compared to the people that you know? Both good and bad? If you are an Empath, you are on a fast-tracked path to learning.
Life is a school, and every day has the opportunity for a new lesson and encounter.
All humans are here to learn and evolve. But boy, an Empath comes up trumps in that department.
Your ‘speedy growth’ is one of the reasons people cannot always relate to you. They’ve not had the experience or the lessons for themselves, so they cannot always understand your findings.
- EMPATHS ARE A PRECIOUS GIFT TO OTHERS
Many people will come to an Empath to talk, when no one else listens. Listening is so healing for the one being heard. Not only is knowing you have helped someone heal, a gift in itself, but it has a positive ripple effect into your future.
- EMPATHS HELP BRING LIGHT INTO THE WORLD
Every person alive brings their own light to the world, but because an Empath helps mop up the dark energies, in the ‘unseen realms’, it helps clear away so much of the energetic debris, so that ‘The Light’ can shine through.
- EMPATHS ARE RARE
You may not think so, because you meet many other Empaths online, but Empaths are rare. How many people do you know, in your everyday life, that could call themselves an Empath? You are part of a unique breed of human.
Empaths want to change the world and help others, if only in their own little way, whether that be out in public or from their own private sanctuaries.
∞∞∞
So, there you go. Just a handful of benefits of being an Empath, but on their own they are a priceless gift.
I hope this helps on your journey.
Until next time,
Diane
