Create Your Best Day, Every Day, with Tarot

How do you start your day?
For me, if I’m lucky enough to wake up before the kids do, I grab my iPhone from my bedside table and start flipping through emails, checking the weather and the news, and seeing what’s happening on Facebook. Once I’m up and have eaten my breakfast and got the kids dressed and fed, I get into my office (at home), open up the laptop and get straight into my To Do list and my work for the day.
Not the most inspiring way to start the day, is it?
Now, what if I were to start my day by connecting in with what’s really important to me right now, by listening to my inner voice and “moving at the pace of guidance” (as Christina Baldwin does in her book, The Seven Whispers)? That might just open up the possibility for an amazing day, right?!
You see, when we start our day from a more mindful and conscious place, we create the opportunity to have our best day, every day. And that’s a beautiful thing.
Instead of rolling over in bed and grabbing your iPhone as soon as you wake up, why not grab your Tarot cards and tune in? Let me show you how.
Tune Into Your Dreams
As soon as you wake up, pick up your Tarot cards and hold them in your hands for a few minutes. Tune in to your peaceful mind and reflect on your dreams from the night just gone. Bring all of those deep subconscious thoughts from your dreams into your conscious mind, opening yourself up to the immense learning opportunities that exist for you every morning. It’s amazing how much we forget about our dreams, unless we consciously recall them as soon as we wake up.
If a dream comes into your conscious mind, ask the Tarot, “What lesson can I take from this dream?” and draw a Tarot card. Note it down in your Tarot journal. And think about how you can apply this lesson during the day (and year) ahead. What new insights have you discovered?
Seek Guidance for Your Best Day Yet
Now here’s perhaps the most powerful way to start your day. You’re going to consult your Tarot cards and connect with your inner self to discover exactly what you need to do to make this day (and every day) your best day yet.
Shuffle your Tarot cards again and this time you’re going to ask a very powerful question:
“How can I make today the best day yet?”
Draw a Tarot card and note down what you discover.
Now, I want you to take it one step further. This step will make your message even more powerful and even more ‘real’.
I want you to actually schedule activities for the day that are aligned with the message in the card you drew. So if you drew the Four of Cups, for instance, make sure you schedule some time in your day for meditation. Or if you drew the Empress, spend an hour outside in a beautiful garden.
This is where the magic happens, my friend. By tuning into what you really need for the day ahead and acting upon it, you open up the potential for an amazing day. You really do.
When I am feeling a little more ‘spiritually disciplined’, I start my working day with a daily card. So today, I asked the Tarot, “How can I make today the best day yet?” and I drew the Two of Fire from the Gaian Tarot deck.
Well, clearly I need to spend some quality time with my husband! It’s often difficult with a young family and a thriving business to find time to be fully present with my partner, but the message within this card is coming through loud and clear that today is the day to prioritise this. Noted!
Reflect and Offer Gratitude
Now as the day draws to a close and you’re about to drift off into dreamland once again, take another 5-10 minutes to reflect on your day and offer gratitude for the gifts that were present.
Take out the Tarot card you drew at the start of the day and reflect on the activities you scheduled, thanks to this card. What did you experience when you followed the guidance of the Tarot? How did it support your alignment to your Higher self? And what new opportunities arose throughout the day as a result of listening to your inner voice?
You might even like to draw another Tarot card asking, “What can I learn from today’s experiences?”
Then, take a moment to think of 3 things from today for which you are truly grateful. (Bonus points if you can think of 3 things that are related to the Tarot card you drew!)
What’s beautiful here is that you go to sleep knowing that you had your best day yet, and learning what makes an amazing day for you, so that when you wake up tomorrow, you can make an even better day! Yes, it really is that easy.

What Is Tarot Astrology? Open or Close
Tarot astrology is the system through which a reading of the cards in a tarot deck help you through troubled times by offering a reflection on your past, present and future. Tarot is closely associated with astrology as each card relates to a planet, element, or astrological sign.
Tarot cards are used for divination, often known as fortune telling. But, many psychologists have used them as well, feeling that the cards often make patients delve in to how they feel about themselves. This is done through the subconscious. For example, let’s say you know work is not going well, but you do not allow yourself to think about it. Getting a tarot card reading that shows you need to change occupations is not really telling your future so much as it is making you face what is really going on in your life.

The Tarot (pronounced tair-row) is a combination of teachings that reflect the aspects of life, a symbolic "book of life" in the form of pictures that can be read or meditated on from "cover to cover". It can also be opened randomly for insights to issues. As a source of information, it is actually a channel by which pictures bring the situation to light and explain what caused it to occur. Those same pictures depict how the situation is being played out as well as the predicted outcome when placed in "spreads" of various patterns. That outcome will be in accordance to the choices that have currently been made by the client as well as outside influences which they have little or no control over. The Querrent (person asking the question), needs to be informed of this so they understand that they have free will and can apply it if they so choose. The Tarot is informative, enlightening, and it's accurate.

When I began reading the Tarot Decks back in 1973, I used the traditional readings. Later on, I studied Carl Jung and his analysis of using Tarot for the study of emotional and mental problems. The many students in my area were using the Major Arcana of Tarot Cards to do the analysis. After many years, I have finally discovered a mannerism to use the entire Tarot Deck for the ‘Healing Intuitive Reading’. In this reading, we examine five planes of health in a being. The heart and blood, the liver, pancreas, adrenals and kidneys, thymus, immune system and finally, the brain, are examined.
