In life, there are some people who, by their presence and character, inspire us to be better human beings. They model what it means to live with integrity, to speak the truth with humility and grace, and to take a stand for others not because it gets them anything, but because it’s simply the right thing to do.

To me, Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG) was that person and while she lived a long, full life and deserves to rest in peace, I will miss her powerful example of decency, and the comfort of knowing she was a guiding force for good in the world.

There were so many valuable life lessons that came from RBG and how she lived her life.  Some of the ones I admire most are:

• Know what you’re talking about. Be well informed.
• Befriend discipline and use it to your advantage.
• Speak truth to power calmly so people hear you.
• Don’t push your opinions on others, bring them with you.
• Make your health a priority to stay in the game longer.
• Feed a passion for learning. 
• Put people before popularity (and be respectful).
• Make life better for those less fortunate than you.

She was a good human being with solid principles that allowed her to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of so many.  

Rest in peace RBG.  May we all be a little more notorious because of you…
