Some people say they are not creative or expressive. But in actuality, they are expressing all the time. Perhaps not in the traditional way we know that to be, through an art form, music, writing, theatre and other forms. But being in physical is a form of expression. Our body is expressing on our behalf all the time. It expresses repressed emotions in the form of illness and imbalance. Same for our mind. And our life. Whatever we see around us in our environment, the people, the events in our personal lives, are all forms of expression, telling the story of our life.

The story that was being expressed was one that, for the most part, we inherited, and continued to play out lifetime after lifetime.  We were acting out roles dynamically and convincingly, even convincing ourselves that they were true.  We were deep into the drama.  Now in our embodied enlightenment all that is changing.  We are moving beyond our stories.  Now we have the opportunity to express in our lives but in a conscious way.  Not through drama, disease and pain, but through joy and passion.  A new way of being is emerging, and the main ingredient is joy.

That joy can be expressed in a myriad of ways, from various art forms, to teaching classes, mentoring, or just through enjoying the sensual nature of life itself.  even in the void, when one feels detached and passionless, there is something happening.  There is a birthing taking place.  Could we call it a gestation period for some?  but ultimately our soul is into expressing.  It is dynamic and fluid, and it is not interested in the opinions of others.

As an artist, I found my greatest joy in the process of creating, more so than in the finished product.  The pieces of art that I felt were the most successful were ones in which I didn’t think much at all, but just allowed the dynamic energies to flow through me.  And interestingly, those pieces usually didn’t take very long to create.  They were created with an ease and passion that only one’s soul could orchestrate.

And so it is as we now become the artists we were meant to be….we are in the process of creating bodies that express our true selves, not ones we inherited with all their physical and emotional imbalances.  We are creating a life of our own now, doing whatever we want to do with them, no longer tied to karma or a sense of obligation.   Our soul’s joy is to be here and to express through these bodies.  To feel the extraordinary physical reality through all our physical senses, and add its multidimensional senses to the mix.

NO MORE JUST LOOKING AT LIFE FROM THE OUTSIDE IN

Our soul isn’t interested in limiting itself.  If we insist on staying in the mental spheres, thinking about things, and not inviting our soul into our body, we will be very disappointed in this process.  We are called on now to engage all of our senses, including our sexual nature.  I am not referring to having sex, although that could be a part of it.  I am talking about using our sexual center to allow the flow of spirit.  To use that part of us to initiate our creativity.  That looks different for each of us, but each of us knows deep within ourselves that we can’t deny an integral part of us the joy of this process.

I have mentioned in other posts that many of us, especially as women, did not feel safe to be our full, sensual selves.  But until we move out of the comfort zones of the mind and even the heart, and until we engage all of our selves, all of our body in this process, things will remain stuck. Because these energies that want to move through us, through our body, do not restrict their flow to just the mind and the heart.

And as we allow these energies to flow and do what they desire to do, there is no turning back.  Once we have had a taste of this dynamic and sensual experience, there is no way we could ever again just go back to looking at life from the outside in.
