We now enter a particularly important time in terms of “right action.” Mars square Saturn has been associated with pushing too hard, too far, too fast, as well as getting into conflicts one should not invite nor perpetuate. As all squares require a measure of “right action,” slow down while seeing things in terms of Saturn square Uranus lessons.

This Mars square Saturn is happening at the same time as Sun square Uranus, which culminates in about 3 days. Because the period just after an aspect is exact is often more dynamic than before the aspect, it shows we have to be measured and deliberate in how we’re expressing Mars, since the Sun square Uranus provides volatility and sometimes erratic, willful, or explosive behavior in unconscious people.

However, from a spiritual angle, the waxing Mars square Saturn marks an important point of emergence of the building Aquarian pulse dominating the rest of our lives. When Mars conjuncted Saturn at 23 Aquarius in April, it marked the beginning of two years of crystallizing the Aquarian themes of management on the emotional and social levels of life. This began our training in some form of “voluntary self-discipline” to develop skills which are already helping us be skillful in our use of spiritual energy.

The waxing square is a point of “first emergence” in the Whole Cycle, a turning point of growth in the emergent pulse which began at the conjunction. Interestingly, at this square Saturn is again at 23 Aquarius, but retrograde. That implies whatever is going on right now is directly related to the training which began in April and will be an established discipline leading to skill in expression by January 2023.

As the Mars square falls from 23 Taurus, this turning point has to do with events which “certify our worth” in some way. Again, just beware of erroneously pushing in a direction where you should not go. Even if it seems that all is in place, be cautious in how far, how fast, how long. This aspect requires pulling back, not pushing forward, and conserving energy while seeing if what’s emerging conforms to the ideal as we have come to know it. Beware of those who bring grandiose plans without the needed foundation.

The tendency to overdo things is augmented by Mars semisquare Jupiter, which means Jupiter is semisquare Saturn. These semisquares are interior “crises” of how to begin to externalize something important with as little conflict or friction as possible. These aspects are putting pressure on planets or points we have near 6-10 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, as well as 21-25 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. If you’re affected, see what’s been emerging the past few months, concentrate to see the whole picture, tune in to your invisible helpers, and search for basic understanding as you journey back to source.

Because 23 Leo and Scorpio are primary activation points, show what you’re capable of as a result of your taming and training your ego to “perform spectacular things” while allowing the “transformation of the natural into the supernatural.” This shows a major turning point in the revelation of unsuspected powers within, though much of this cannot move forward until after the Mars retrograde period.

And now, the Sun! It’s squaring Uranus, illuminating what was activated at the recent Mars conjunction with Uranus, setting a new spontaneity into motion. The Sun is showing us how to get free of old social inhibitions so we can find a freer and happier way to be in our world. Shortly after the emergent square to Uranus, it will oppose Saturn. This offset T square will be a great time for integrating or re-integrating the energies of Saturn square Uranus by eliminating what is irrelevant, useless, or of no value at the present time.

This releases a tremendous amount of energy into 23 Scorpio, a transmutational degree. The Sun opposing Saturn brings the Light of the emergent Aquarian ideal to the surface in some way which will necessitate the “multiple expansion through sacrifice” indicated by the Sun forming a Yod with Neptune and Pluto before, during, and after the T-square, along with activating the Grand Irrationality through the triseptiles with those planets just before and after the quincunxes. This replicates what we just experienced via Mercury a few days ago, and brings light to those messages and ideas.

So we have Mars in a waxing square to Saturn and semisquare to Jupiter showing a push into a new phase of the emergent Aquarian ideal. The excellent thing is that Mars trine Pluto helps us get to the core of the matter, see clearly what is clean and what is corrupt, and allows us to make incremental “severances” with qualities we no longer want to express or indulge. With Venus playing a supporting role through its sextile to Mars and opposition to Pluto, it throws a very beneficial void into late Scorpio, showing that area is one of growth, productivity, and either elimination or integration.

As I gave you in June 2021 about the very powerful and important Saturn square Uranus,

… if Saturn is favorable to any planet in your chart, you can release that positive energy through Uranus, and if Uranus is favorable to any planet in your chart, you can release that positive energy through Saturn.

The tensions of the square may be released through either of the planets making the square. The trick is to take the positive building energies of aspects to either of these planets to release the positive energies through the planet in square. So demonstrate favorable Uranian energy through Saturn, and favorable Saturn energy through Uranus. The friction of Saturn square Uranus is helping us to understand our ability to make conscious choices about what to do and what can be ignored.

This square allows us to see the permanent patterns behind all things even as there is tremendous catabolic activity breaking down old structures, rules, and limitations. We all are seeing what’s important and learning to ignore the unimportant while expressing our part to play in the larger spiritual group(s) we’re involved in, demonstrating good Leo and/or Scorpio energies as circumstances require. Trust the process which brought you to this point of revelation and relative peace and enjoyment, since it opens many doors to new vistas.

Because the void created by a square is both the problem and the solution, show heart, strength, nobility, courage, concentration, and the willingness to release to attract. Understanding which Leo and/or Scorpio qualities are needed in conflicts or resistant circumstances will yield the best results.

So in this current storm zone, even if the generic energies are erratic and intense, be patient as you work with the material to concretize the emergent Aquarian energies. Uranus is revolutionizing our approach to substance, and Saturn is showing us a new social order. The two together will bring forth the best of the structures of the new era dawning at this time. We just need to take heart, show courage, eliminate what we no longer want or need, and allow the voids to attract what will fulfill our Aquarian ideal in the future.
