2023 Aries Full Super Moon

As mentioned in our previous post this is the last Super Full Moon of 2023 when Sister Moon is closest to Earth. Full Moons are the blossoming time when the theme of the previous New Moon is fulfilled. That was the Virgo New Moon on Sept 14/15 (mind, body, spirit healing into wholeness).

We are still in that Moon cycle until the Solar Eclipse in Libra on Oct 14/15. We have been guided by Mercury retrograde in Virgo (when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change). At this Aries Super Full Moon the messenger planet Mercury clears his retrograde shadow. Clarity of thought and focus is the gift. In the Northern Hemisphere our Animal Totem guide has been Brown Bear, introspection and healing, and in the Southern Hemisphere you have been guided by Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, who walks with us through change. All these Spirit guides continue to support us during this Virgo Moon cycle.

Aries is the sign of new creative beginnings. But this Full Moon is asking us to complete the lessons of the last five months. That takes us back to the Aries New Moon Eclipse of April 19/20. That New Moon had mixed messages. Although it was New (inspiration) it was at 29 degrees Aries (completing and releasing the old) AND square Pluto (transformation and release). Squares ask us to find new ways of doing things. Pluto asks us to transform the way we do things. For many people new beginnings were necessary because of circumstances beyond their control. Personal Power (Aries) was tested. This Full Moon is the opportunity to reclaim our power but in a new way. Aries asks who are you really. The answer is I AM.

This Full Moon is at 06 degrees 00 Aries travelling with the Earth at the same degrees. They are guided by Mars at 21 degrees 26 in Libra (balanced action guided by intuitive awareness). On Oct 04 to 06 Mars will join the Libra South Node giving us all the opportunity to release past conflict and embrace balance. The Soul Centered ruler of Aries is Mercury at 20 degrees 33 Virgo. As mentioned he clears his retrograde shadow today giving us the gift of clarity as we make choices about what to keep and what to release. Chiron, the healer, Rx at 18 degrees 12 Aries guides Mercury (healing whatever blocks you from your authentic self).

The Sun is at 06 degrees 00 Libra travelling with Pallas Athene the Goddess of wisdom at 07 degrees 11 Libra. They are guided by Venus at 22 degrees 26 Leo (being centered in the Compassionate Heart). The Soul Centered ruler of Libra is Uranus (breaking free from the past). Uranus is Rx at 22 degrees 40 Taurus (what is of true value and importance) and is in square aspect to Venus (finding new ways of doing things). This is the third square. The first was July 02 at 21 degrees Leo/Taurus. The second was Aug 09 when Venus was retrograde at 22 degrees Leo and Uranus at 22 degrees Taurus. Look back at what was needing to change then and you will know what is needing to be released now. Uranus is “expect the unexpected” so don’t be surprised at what comes forward. Trust your inner knowing. Venus is the planetary guide for Uranus in Taurus (what is of true value and importance guided by heart knowing).

Our Animal Totem guides for the Aries Moon and Earth are Falcon, clear inspired vision, and Red Tailed Hawk, Spiritual Messenger. Pay attention to messages from Great Mystery. They will guide you on your new path. For the Libra energies we are guided by are Crow, sacred law and justice and fairness for all, and Raven, magic and the mysteries. Raven speaks of the time of transformation to come. They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere. All these guides will be travelling with us for the New Moon Eclipse cycle that begins Oct 14/15 when the Earth is at 21 degrees 08 Aries and The Sun/Moon are at 21 degrees 08 Libra (balance, love, and harmony). This Solar Eclipse takes us to 08 April 2024 when we have a New Moon Eclipse 19 degrees 24 minutes Aries. These Animal Totems continue to guide us for that new cycle as well.
