Criticism from others can feel less like an attack when we remain curious instead of certain.

It doesn't mean we have to take on other people's projections as if it's our truth. Instead, when we remain respectful of any person's sharing without needing to convince them of our individual standpoint, we are able to embody the oneness of intimacy whether another person can join us there or not.

As heart-centered empaths, if we don’t wish to drink in someone else’s projections, we can aspire to say, "Thank you" in response to another person’s sharing. Thank you can always be an authentic response when conveyed with heart-centered intention. It doesn’t mean that they are right or that you agree with them. Thank you is a powerful expression of energetic transmutation. In its deepest and most insightful form, thank you is an abbreviation of "Thank you for the opportunity to neutralize these projections and transmute them into a higher vibration of gratitude that can help us both evolve in whatever way we are able to receive it."

This is the heart of gratitude.
