It is interesting to see the truth community dividing lately around American politics.

We can all agree that we are dealing with levels of corruption that have progressed to such a systemic degree that it's going to take incredible efforts to begin to root it out. So, we can all agree its corrupt, but we cannot agree on how to effectively deal with that corruption. Feelings of betrayal, hopelessness and anger are also clouding many people's minds.

It also seems that we are, at times, talking over each other as well by creating false dichotomies. For example, it is possible to become more local in our focus while also taking responsibility at a federal level and voting. They are not mutually exclusive activities. You can become more independent from ‘The system’ and makes moves to pressurize the system to change from the bottom up, while also helping to steer the executive level. If both aspects are not accounted for within the work of a journalist or pundit that is an issue of stewardship.

While both sides certainly are corrupt, and Whitney has done an excellent job and exposing this, we can confront this corruption without dissolving the country and ‘starting again’. Further, you can participate in the political process while being fully aware of the lobbies and motives behind it. Voting does not mean that you consent to every policy and every lobbyist behind the candidate and no citizen should think that voting alone will miraculously save them from their misery. While the system is compromised, it is not entirely controlled. Many people will disagree with that statement, and that’s fine. I don’t fault anyone for concluding that. I held that sentiment myself for years.

Lastly, the Bill of Rights in the American system provides a covenant of freedom. A covenant that many people have lost their lives for, and that has afforded us incredible luxuries. Luxuries that we take for granted every day. It’s easy to become agitated, hopeless and depressed and lose this nuance. So often only when something is gone do we realize what we had and how difficult it is to recreate.

Is America perfect? No. Does it have the bones (founding legal documents) to improve if we come together and actually defend the foundations of this country? Yes. Will we have to work hard to do that? Yes. Will the various monopolies that seek to enslave us try to thwart our efforts. Absolutely. They will attempt to consolidate all wealth and power with everything they have. We have to be ready for that fight. More precisely, we have to come together for that fight. Not naively looking for a savior, but with a sense of hope and matching attitude of practicality.

Thus, the issue is that we need to remove the corruption that is taking America away from its founding Principals. If America were to dissolve people would create separate regions and eventually another document with the same concepts of our founding ones in America will be created. We would simply cycle back to this exact same point, except with significant losses. The most effective path forward is that we uphold the Bill of Rights and Constitution. There is no need to reinvent the wheel here, which is unfortunately what many people are suggesting we do. Also, don’t forget here that these documents, and this country, were almost not created. We have always had to fight viciously for freedom, so the sentiment that we should somehow just have it by now, or that tyranny is shocking, is misplaced, to say the least.

This is personal anecdote, but, I have visited several of these communities over the years and each one was just as corrupt and dysfunctional as the federal level of management. They all had significant disagreements and problems in their management. This is because the ills of society are fundamentally spiritual issues, our problems have to do with a lack of spiritual development; they are not technical issues. The utopian dream of starting again is appealing, especially in the fog of war, but it ignores the reality that evil lies within every human being no matter their station in life. It doesn’t just exist in politicians and rich people. It exists in all people.
