This article covers significant aspects, degree symbols, and other important factors in this New Moon at 19 Taurus on May 7.

This brings the Light of a technique of action which confirms something of unique value within each of us. The Beloved awaits at the balcony of our Life and Mind; be clear about your heart’s desire and you could find a form of it sooner than you think!

This month brings the final 2024 conjunctions of the inner planets with the outer planets as we have the Lunation conjunct Venus, Jupiter and Uranus, which should help us enjoy the momentum into expansion. We prepared to enter a new life in late 2023, waited at the threshold through late April, and then with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at 22 Taurus, saw the “white dove flying over troubled waters.” That symbolized a sign from Spirit that having endured our “ordeal,” we could now move into a new day, a new way, and a new life.

With Jupiter and Uranus marking how we finish experience and both of them being in the Capricorn decan, Saturn again becomes a strong influence. It encourages us to understand the power of compassion to steer the process of endings, in this case the ending of old ideas, some of which are being “revised back to source.” For others, it’s time to put yourself out to the public to find those who want to learn from your Wisdom.

With so many planets between Pisces and Taurus, keep forgiving and releasing the past, and embrace the new life already unfolding. Focus on the “Here/Now,” face forward, bless the rapidly fading past, and feel the lightness of being free to move forward in your life!

The span between 16-20 Taurus is about “confirming” something in the actional material levels of life. We’ve all been “paying dues” or finished paying dues since the 2023 Libra Solar eclipse, freeing us for new vistas of growth and enjoyment. The next month is a time to allow our natural spontaneity to let loose our originality. Some of the focus of the next month is directly related to what began to awaken in July/August of 2022 when Mars conjuncted Uranus at 19 Taurus. And Mars occupies the same degree as the Sun in the Lunar eclipse of late March, showing the next month activates that Light in a big way!

The Planetary Spread

In this chart, because the inner planets are between late Aries and mid-Taurus in a 26+ degree span, we’re moving out of the last Great Compression of planets which began a few years ago and is ending for 330 years. At this point, all the planets are within the 113+ degree span between 3 Aquarius and 26 Taurus, with Jupiter rapidly expanding the gap in coming weeks.

Because of the planetary spread, we now have a third of the chart occupied from Pluto at 3 Aquarius to Jupiter at 26 Taurus, creating a classic Bundle Jones pattern. At this time we have planets in Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, and Taurus.

Depending on the position of the Moon and the inner planets relative to the outer planets, different months bring us different Jones Patterns. These patterns operate their own independent influence, regardless of which planet is in which sign.

Currently, the outer planet occupied span begins with Pluto in early Aquarius, and proceeds through Saturn in mid-Pisces, Neptune in late Pisces, Uranus in late Taurus and ends with Jupiter in late Taurus. (We don’t include TransPluto, since Jones didn’t use it in defining his patterns). Because we have 4 signs represented in a 113+ degree span with no other signs occupied, this chart is a “Bundle” Jones Pattern, said to be the rarest of all patterns.

The Bundle Pattern and how it works

This type of spread, with all the planets occupying approximately one third of the signs with two thirds unoccupied, creates “the least common of the seven basic differentiations,” and creates a “bunching of interests or the intensive self-gathering which is least responsive to any universal stimulus” and as Dr. Jones noted in a section on another pattern, a “special obsession with some particularly narrowed aspect of experience” which characterizes the Bundle people.

He continues that “the meaning of the concentration of the ten planets in one single third of the zodiac is that the course of the native’s life is held to certain narrow bounds of opportunism,” and they are “almost completely inhibited, in contrast with the outstanding lack of inhibition in the Splash pattern. He then goes on to say that “Characteristic of the Bundle type is an outstanding capacity for making much of little, or for building small beginnings into great and often unanticipated final results.” He also notes this type can mold their world “by some highly centralized force of self-concentration.” This type is not universal in the slightest, but rather “brings universe to center.”

With Pluto in Aquarius leading the concentration of planets, and thus the entry to the entire pattern, it shows we need to be alert to the seeds of a future unifying vision, or the transformational possibilities related to 3 Aquarius, its recent station and an activating degree of rebellion, refusal, defiance, and “being unbound.” This entry to the Bowl tells us to mobilize against that which limits our vision of what we are here to do within a larger collective effort.

With Jupiter in Taurus closing the Bundle (and Uranus amping up the signal!) we’ll finish experience with an expanded sense of enjoyment at seeing some version of our heart’s desire make its appearance on “the balcony of our Life and Mind.” Many types of “worth” will be confirmed these next 4 weeks, so move forward, enjoying all you can while showing compassion as all which used to be but is no more.

This leads with actional contribution, and closes with individual-spiritual confirmation. Because the leading edge is Aquarian Air, approach experience with a pragmatic detachment, friendliness, and broad vision of how to make a greater contribution to your world with an eye to the seeds of the future. Because the closing planet is Taurus Earth, by the time we’re done with a given experience, we’ll know a more enjoyable way of flowing with life’s changes and its gentle expansions into more enjoyable ways of living the adventure of our individuality.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon

A New Moon sets the seed forms for what the following month will demonstrate. This Lunation falls at falls at 19 Taurus, and it is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the emotional, social, and cultural levels of life, and being the second decan of Taurus it has a sub-influence of Virgo with an added dose of the Moon. While I've given you a sense of this degree up to now, this is where we go into depth.

The Sabian Symbol for the 19th degree of Taurus is “A newly formed continent.” In the original Marc Jones class notes on the symbols published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this is a degree of the “potentiality for tangible self-manifestation in all beings,” “Overflowing originality,” and “spontaneous, rich creative urge.”

In the Astrological Mandala, he says this is a degree of "the surge of new potentiality after the crisis.” He states “when the mind has been emptied and light has been called upon to purify the consciousness freed from its attachment and contaminations, a new release of life can emerge out of the infinite Ocean of potentiality, the Virgin SPACE.”

He continues that this is “a suggestion of how to approach whatever new phase of life has been not only hoped for, but actually confirmed. The ‘technique’ is simply to allow the infinite Potential to operate in unconstrained spontaneity. This means to have reached a state in which the conscious, rational ego is no longer a controlling factor.” He offers that this degree falls in the Span of Enjoyment, Act of Differentiation, Scene of Confirmation on the actional-physical level.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “the raw substance of existence” and implies “experience may shape its own ground in full conformity with its desires.” He continues that this symbol is about “an awareness of the constant reworking of all reality through the course of successful overall cycles, and it dramatizes the fact that (we re-establish ourselves) continuously” through “each new realization of (our) powers and the opportunities of (our) world.”

He offers us the keyword ORIGINALITY. He goes on to say that when operating positively, the degree is “a revolutionary potentiality by which each individual is enabled to remodel the entire face of the universe.”

From this symbol it seems the specific theme of the next month is one of BEING the spontaneity naturally arising as a result of our prior efforts at purifying our mind and interpretations. This period will awaken a new energy as a result of our examining the musty corners of our minds, and following any discontent back to its source to revolutionize our thinking. And with the conjunctions of Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus, a very good time should be had by all!

Important Aspects

Remember that in reading a Lunation chart (as well as a horary, inceptional, electional, or any event chart) the forming aspects show things to come, while separating aspects show things already past. Partile separating aspects show what’s been going on in the Now. This section covers only forming and partile separating aspects.

The Lunation is conjuncted by Venus, semisquare Mars, conjunct Jupiter, sextile Saturn, conjunct Uranus, and tredecile Pluto. Mercury is vigintile Venus, vigintile Mars, elfile Jupiter, decile Saturn, semisextile Uranus, quindecile Neptune, and binovile Pluto; Venus is conjunct the Sun, decile Mars, conjunct Jupiter, septile Saturn, conjunct Uranus, novile Neptune, and trielftile Pluto; and the Sun makes the same aspects as the Moon.

Outer planet aspects feature Mars septile Jupiter, vigintile Saturn, semisquare Uranus, and elftile Pluto; Jupiter is quintile Saturn, sextile Neptune and trine Pluto (out of sign); Saturn is bielftile Uranus and semisquare Pluto, and Uranus is septile Neptune.

This month the friction is provided by 4 semisquares, including the long term pressure of Saturn semisquare Pluto generating the current global conflicts. The semisquares are about internal decisions and movement. We will have almost no frictional transit to transit aspects during these weeks because the next square is Mercury to Pluto from early Taurus. After that we’ll have Venus and the Sun square Saturn in June, but that’s a month from now.

Special Configurations in Evolutionary Astrology

This month we continue to have the rare circumstance of only 1 special evolutionary configuration which is about as obscure as it gets! We have Mercury vigintile Venus, vigintile Mars, and decile Saturn, with Venus decile Mars and in a 53+ degree aspect with Saturn! So we have a situation with three vigintiles side by side creating two deciles and the outer span a just separating septile. The vigintile is a half decile, just as a decile is a half of a quintile. So we have FOUR planets in a 20th harmonic aspect series, indicating the very beginning of some highly unique developments we probably won’t see manifest until Mars transits the Mercury and Venus positions in this chart.

Venus is one of the final dispositors of the entire chart and is septile Saturn; Mars is one of the other final dispositors of the entire chart and is septile Jupiter; these two together bring the rulers of 8 of our houses into septile, “fork in the road of destiny” energies. The first is from Taurus to Pisces. The second is from Aries to Taurus.

Venus waxing septile Saturn puts us at a crucial point in our emergent relationships. Most affected areas include 17-21 Pisces, 9-13 Taurus, 1-5 Cancer, 22-26 Leo, 13-17 Libra, 5-9 Sagittarius, and 26-30 Capricorn.

Mars waning septile Jupiter shows the formation of the seed which will expand after the coming Mars conjunct Jupiter at 17 Gemini in mid-August. For this month, areas of greatest choice and change involve 4-8 Aries, 25-29 Taurus, 17-21 Cancer, 9-13 Virgo, 1-5 Scorpio, 22-26 Sagittarius, and 13-17 Aquarius. If you have something in one or more of either of these zones, expect important developments related to relationships (Venus/Saturn) or opportunities to apply your energies for rewards (Mars/Jupiter).

Explaining Harmonics

Aspects in the same series are considered to be various stages of “harmonics” for each series. In the 7th harmonic aspect series of “destiny,” this month we have 3 septiles. In the 5th, 10th, 15th and 24th harmonic specialization series, we have 3 vigintiles, 1 quindecile, 2 deciles, 1 quintile, and 2 tredeciles. The 9th harmonic gives us 1 novile and 1 binovile, and in the 11th harmonic faith series there is 2 elftiles, 1 bielftile, and 1 trielftile.

The novile (9th harmonic), septile (7th harmonic) and elftile (11th harmonic) series all feature spiritual aspects. All novile series (9th harmonic) aspects indicate things which need to be put on the shelf for a while, or that which has been waiting can now move forward. They represent gestative energies that can lead to great spiritual realizations. Septile series aspects represent forks in the road of destiny, while the 11th harmonic elftile series indicate that faith is required to deal with transcending some dualities, issues and points of evolution where we must make a leap of faith to attain a form of mastery over that type of duality. This series tests our faith. Both the 7th and 11th series involve non-rational aspect values, bringing an element of irrationality in behavior and circumstances.

The quintile and biquintile (5th harmonic) and related 10th (decile and tredecile), 15th (quindecile), and 20th harmonic (vigintile) aspects are all specialization aspects. Element Balance and Who’s Leading the Sun

This month shows a big imbalance in the elements, with the 10 traditional planets occupying 4 signs. We have 2 planets in Fire (inspiration and warmth), 5 planets in Earth (practical grounding), 1 in Air (relatedness and communicating), and 2 in Water (feelings and experiencing). This month we have very few signs represented.

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, it’s in balance, with slightly more cool than heat. With so much Aries and Taurus, it’s totally future oriented and in motion! With almost no Air, find the urge to relate and communicate within, since there’s not much going in that area until the coming transits of Gemini!

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This continues the prior pattern. For now, as a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience over the next four weeks involves beginning activity with a thought, a vision, or an understanding, followed by taking the time to feel what’s happening.

What experience is your vision or understanding bringing you to? How do you feel about what you see and the information coming to you? Let your knowledge lead you to new hunches.

Then after time processing what the vision or understanding has led to, then make a decision and take a single step to move the process forward one step. Once we’ve made a decision and acted on it, then a new understanding or view will naturally arise showing the next thing to move toward and experience. So learn, communicate, research, and then feel the experience and the flow, since these will lead you to the next decision.

This pattern can seem too mental and evaluative, so be patient as the flow reveals itself. When this pattern is healthy it provides an objective and sensitive take on things. This is one of the two patterns which have the best “bedside manner,” and can be a good sounding board to bounce all kinds of things off of until everything’s been discussed and processed so that a clear decision can be made. This pattern offers us that the journey of a thousand miles is truly one step at a time.

Summing Up

This New Moon will bring us spontaneity, expansion, unexpected opportunities and rewards, solid and stable new relationships, and all in all it should be a very pleasant four weeks despite the semisquares. As Saturn is at 18 Pisces and Neptune is at 30 Pisces, cultivate an understanding of the spiritual power in generating compassion. The future’s unfolding at full speed, so set aside resistances and enjoy the party!

While Saturn’s in Pisces, we are learning about the collective field and techniques of “non-local awareness” while developing our subtle senses of clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience. Forgiveness allows Divine Grace to manifest, and the quicker things flow down the timestream the less of an obstruction they’ll be.

Saturn in Pisces is teaching us how to demonstrate practical compassion as we live at a higher level than we used to. We are now living the life renewal we “heard as a call” last June, and are now having to put ourselves and our ideas out into the world for recognition.

We’ve finished a time of saying goodbye to old ways, places, and people, However, since all forms pass away in this impermanent world, this created space for new ways and new experiences since there’s more potential than there is in whatever has left. Celebrate the uplifting energies at play in your chart, and let go of memories which don’t serve the flow into the future. Feel the lightness of your unique evolutionary dance through space and time. We’re all moving from the interpersonal to the transpersonal level of focus.

Neptune is showing the way to “let go let god” as we approach the threshold of Neptune in Aries. For now, practice sensing the flow and simultaneity of knowing and experiencing a vaster connection to the collective field. This prepares us for receiving what we need to walk into the new collective reality of Neptune in Aries in 2025! The Lunation conjunct Jupiter and Uranus offers us a “lightness of Being,” so allow yourself to feel the joy and “ecstatic state of awareness” which is your Soul’s nature.

We now are encouraged to explore and enjoy the new life, new land, new field and new focus already rapidly unfolding. Be brave as you get clear about what dances you want to do and which things you’ll need to express as part of your new life roles to play. The future is now, and will get clearer over the next few weeks.

The Long View

In 2020 we entered a transition phase in human history. While we will be functioning within the Capricorn cycles we began then, we also have begun an era unknown to humanity since the 13th and 14th centuries. Even then, we were still in the depth of the Age of Pisces, so the awakening of new ideas then were relative to the old era, whereas what’s coming involves wave after wave of Aquarian energies, pushing us to the coming Great Age emerging in the second half of this century.

The long wave Aquarian pulses were initially set into motion by the Mars conjunct Saturn at 1 Aquarius on March 31, 2020, marking the initiation of archetypal Aquarian preliminary structures offered by Saturn. The promise and potential of the new Aquarian pulse then began to expand into a greater social and cultural vision beginning at the Jupiter conjunction with Saturn, the Grand Mutation of the Solstice also at 1 Aquarius. So we have 20 years of Aquarian energies set into motion by that conjunction!

All Aquarian transits and conjunctions in 2022, 2023, and 2024 have given a new impetus and new expression to the Aquarian structures which took shape in 2021. Each transit strengthens the Pluto in Aquarius “generation” of the 21st century which lasts until 2043. As there will be a Jupiter conjunction with Pluto at 15 Aquarius in 2033, we’ll see the “expansion of the Angels of the Age of Aquarius” at that time.

2021 opened a new adventure for all of us, and the long term “metamorphosis” we went through showed us what the beginning of the coming Age of Aquarius is about. 2022 helped us remember we are Beings of Light, a Superstar shining the Light of our Eternal Love into our world. We’re now expanding our spiritual knowledge, understanding, and effective forms of service, and have entered a new phase with Mars in a new Sun/Mars conjunction cycle.

New groups of Spiritual communities have formed since 2021, and are being given a boost this year. Those which are Aquarian in nature will be “lifted on the wings of angels” in 2024. Trust the process. Revolution is in the air! And when you find things and people of eternal worth, value them with all your heart.
