Your Complete Horoscope Guide for April 25 to May 2

For the New Moon in Taurus for your sign (or natal house if you know it):

Aries

(2nd House) If you were to define your own worth, how might you do so? In society, so much of our worth is tied up with how much money we make, how much we have or own. But when looking at the New Moon in Taurus this week, you are being asked to consider what might be your most valuable ‘assets’, which may have nothing at all to do with material worth. For when you consider it, there are some things that you simply cannot put a price tag on. What are your most prized assets? It could be an object, or even a person. But it could also be a gift, or a talent, or some special quality. The New Moon could even bring you validation for what that is. Venus, the ruling planet of Taurus, is gathering to itself the very essence of all that has been over the past year, and even more than that! On Wednesday, when it enters your sign, it could even feel like you are starting anew. Know also that the validation you receive could be for something that you had taken for granted. And if that is the case, own it. Own it, and look for further opportunities to develop and cultivate that talent, that ability, that gift, that quality. Then sow the intention to receive further validation for your own self-worth. Including those things that you take for granted. Then remind yourself that: “I am worthy of all of the bounty that nature has to offer.”

Taurus

(1st House) If you were to describe yourself, what would you say? How do you think you are seen, and how would you wish to be seen by others? Someone who is kind? Someone who is generous? Someone who did the right thing? These are the sorts of questions that can arise with a New Moon in your own sign. This annual Moon in Taurus is your yearly reboot, bringing with it, a sense of renewal. Those Taurus people born between 4-10º of Taurus (or April 23-30th) will be most sensitive to this Moon, although all of Taurus-kind can benefit from the understanding and self-awareness that can arise with the New Moon in your sign. And if you were to invest in yourself for the year ahead, what would be the top priorities that you would like to focus on? What are those things that have brought the deepest meaning to you over the past year, and perhaps longer than that? The New Moon affords you the ability to further commit to these, as well as to consider what new direction you might want to go. Create your own priority wish list, then go out and see what you can do to make it a closer reality A good affirmation for the New Moon on Sunday might be: Knowing what my true priorities are, is key to understanding who I am.

Gemini

(12th House) In order to gain the most benefit from the New Moon in Taurus on April 27th, you will want to tie up all the loose ends of your life so that you can have some time of your own, away from all the hubbub and busy-ness. This will take you out of the strain of the doing, and into the peace of the done. You don’t have to go very far to find that place where you can be alone with yourself and your own mind. It’s closer at hand than you think. It is time to connect to Spirit, to Conscience, to your own inner and hidden world. Doing so can unleash all sorts of creative ideas, unearth long lost gifts, and invest deeper meaning and value to all that you do. And know that you really don’t need to ‘do’ very much with this New Moon, except pay attention to where your intuition and deepest heart-felt yearnings are leading you. The sign Taurus, for Gemini, is a sign of hidden gifts, hidden advantages, and the unseen things that go on behind the scenes when you are alone with your thoughts. This can include those people working from behind the scenes, unseen and unbidden, as well as those things owed you from the past. This is a Moon that for you dwells in these hidden realms. A realm that can also bring a much needed feeling of profound peace and security, away from the turmoils of the world. A good intention for the New Moon might be: May I find that sacred place that will bring me a profound feeling of inner peace and serenity.

Cancer

(11th House) The New Moon in Taurus on Sunday, April 27th, is asking you to look at the ways that you can make what was once only a wistful dream, into a closer and more achievable reality. This may involve teaming up with a group, or perhaps collaborating with others on a project. One thing that may become more apparent, is that in certain areas of your life, or in order to achieve certain goals, you will be able to get so much more accomplished when you join forces with others, than you possibly could on your own. And through the encouragement of friends, or a group or network that you are affiliated with, you could be feeling a lot more motivated to do so. This will be especially so if you also receive some sort of validation through your work, or through an avocation or personal hobby. Taurus is your wishing sign. Therefore take some time out to connect with your highest ideals, priorities, hopes and wishes, towards which you would like to aspire this year. And then see what you need to do on your end, that will help you to make your wishes come true. A good intention for this New Moon might be: If this dream is meant to be for me, may the best possible circumstances arise to see it fulfilled.

Therefore this period right after the New Moon is great for starting new projects, beginning a new job, or going in a new direction, as it is more likely to gain some sort of attention. This is because the New Moon in Taurus shines a light on the proceedings and what you have to offer to the world. This is a good Moon for receiving rewards or being appreciated or respected in some way. Taurus is a sign of values. Perhaps taking up a course of study, learning a new skill, gaining a little more experience, or making yourself better informed? Or perhaps looking for ways that you can at least venture into the countryside, or beyond your usual confines, and seek more beautiful or natural climes. You are needing to reclaim and reenergize your earthy soul. Connect with nature, dig in the dirt, and ground yourself in the natural world. Many a Virgo has found themselves invested in or dependent on others lately, and this New Moon earth energy can be tremendously healing to both body and soul. Libra

(8th House) The New Moon in Taurus each year, is often a time to clear the books and balance the ledger sheets of your life. In other words, pay off debts, follow through with promises to others, as well as promises you have made to yourself. It can also be a time to reassess whether or not your needs are being met through others. And if not, what is missing? What have you been neglecting to ask for, either from others or yourself. Know that you don’t necessarily need to have to ask for permission, or even feel like you ‘deserve’ having your needs fulfilled. Neglecting your own needs will only leave you with a void that needs to be filled in other ways (beware of those chocolate chip cookies). Use the New Moon in Taurus to open yourself up to receiving, knowing that you (and all that you do) are worth investing in. If you’ve been hoping to launch a new business venture, apply for a new job, or follow through with a financial plan that can breathe new life into your current investments, do so with or shortly after the New Moon in Taurus. New Moons are about new beginnings filled with potential. Therefore plant those seeds that you would like to see further grow and be brought to fruition. A good intention to seed with the New Moon this weekend might be: I want to see all obstacles to prosperity and receiving, lifted from me.

Scorpio

(7th House) With Mars at the very top of your natal or Solar chart, you could begin to see things moving quite quickly (or at least quicker) once it completes its opposition to Pluto on Saturday. For that is also when you will receive something of a boost from the New Moon in Taurus on Sunday. It will release you from quandaries and the obstacles that bind you. New Moons bring a surge of fresh new energy. Just the sort of energy and inspiration to get things moving. The Taurus New Moon is especially helpful for new beginnings that include others: partnerships, collaborations, agreements, and making an impression. If you’ve been wanting to make some sort of declaration or promise, or even go on an interview, shortly after the New Moon would be the time to do so. It can also be that deep inspiration and meaningful experiences can be had with others. This will be especially so if you are willing to turn down the noise and distractions, in order to be present. The New Moon in Taurus is always fertile ground in which to plant seeds of intention. Some possible intentions to sow with this Moon might be: May I be open to giving and receiving with an open heart. Or: I want to see myself spending more time with those people and shared experiences, that bring me peace and happiness.

Sagittarius

The New Moon in Taurus on Sunday is a great Moon for Sagittarius to begin any sort of health initiative, or make a new beginning at or concerning the work that you do, or a service that you offer to others. That can include beginning a new project that could bring in extra money, or learning a new skill that could prove to be profitable. Or beginning a new routine or program that will invest your health and well-being with greater energy and enthusiasm. Even small changes in your routines could increase your energy, as well as your efficiency, and open you up to new creative ideas. This can include things like adding some outdoor walks into your daily routines, checking out that new bike path or hiking trail. Or perhaps looking into your local farms or farmer’s market for healthy ideas for meals and meal planning. The New Moon in Taurus aims to steer you towards those people, places and things that will support your well-being, and show you new ways to improve not only yourself, but what you do. A good affirmation for the New Moon on Sunday might be: I deserve a healthy, happy and productive life, and will do what I can to see that fulfilled.

Capricorn

(5th House) Once you have everything in your life all sorted out, well organized and able to function on its own, the New Moon on Sunday, is asking you to take something of a break. The New Moon in Taurus asks Capricorn each year to invest in feel-good events that subsume your senses, and allows you to unwind.  Taurus is a sign that aims to feed the senses, and immerse you in some sort of uncharacteristic self-indulgence. These can be shared with loved ones, or include affairs of the heart. If you have children, this is when you celebrate them, finding pride in their achievements and relishing all the news, events and milestones that they are now reaching. But perhaps more importantly, this is when you are being asked to bask in your own achievements and glory. Use the momentum of the New Moon to achieve personal bests, to show off what you are capable of doing, and let the world know that you are here. The New Moon is shining a light on you, as well as lighting up your heart. And for those Capricorns that are involved in any sort of creative ventures or projects, you will find yourself that much more invested in it. Go with it! A good intention for the New Moon in Taurus might be: May I allow the creative spirit to move through me, using my voice, my hands and my feet to create something to be proud of.

Aquarius

(4th House) The New Moon in Taurus on Sunday is about making a deeper commitment to those things that matter to you in your personal life. That can include family and family matters, your home, your supportive communities and a sense of belonging. This is about honoring and holding those people, things and experiences that hold you back and ground you, and make you feel safe and secure. This is probably the sort of New Moon that finds you seeking sacred spaces, and familiar surroundings, or looking for ways to make your personal spaces more comfortable and inviting. Taurus is a sensual sign, therefore think in terms of adding color, natural scents, or textures that invite you to relax into them. Because the New Moon is in Taurus, this is a good Moon to take on new projects, or start new initiatives or commitments involving home or family, including: improving relationships with family members; taking part in activities that gather the tribe or reinforce feelings of community and togetherness; or making improvements in your home environment, so that it feels more like home. A good affirmation for the New Moon in Taurus on Sunday might be: When I find peace within, everything else will fall into place.

Pisces

(3rd House) Venus continues to swim in your sign, conjunct both Saturn and the North Node until Wednesday, when it enters Aries. As ruler of the New Moon in Taurus this Sunday, she is trying to get you to make ever deeper commitments to having ever greater peace, safety and security in your environment and your every day life. New Moons are times of potential and new beginnings, hence the tradition for sowing intentions and beginning new initiatives at these pivotal moments each month. And for Pisces, the New Moon in Taurus is an excellent time to learn something new, attend a class, rifle through the library, or surround yourself in nature, perhaps create a small garden, or bring nature into your home. Repot those plants, create an herb garden on your windowsill, and look for new and inviting opportunities to interact with your neighborhood. The natural world (as well as the neighbors) are trying to engage you. And this is your opportunity to meet them halfway. Make the affirmation with the New Moon in Taurus to walk with music and beauty in your heart. Some good intentions might be: I want to see myself enjoying the wonders of nature. Or: I want to see myself more fully appreciating the simple daily encounters of my everyday life.
