In our last blog post, How To Tell If You Are a Wise Old Soul–16 Ways, one of Spirit’s “ways” was “You acknowledge you are your own highest and best authority.”

That is not a truth most of us were taught as little children. I certainly was not–just the opposite. We were instructed to place our trust everywhere except ourselves–our parents, churches, teachers, governments, etc. etc.

In the Tuning In movie my spirit guides said the wisest we have ever been (in our current lifetimes) was when we were little children.

Most of us have been “talked out of” the profound wisdom we had as those little children.

Spirit

Someone once asked your popular advice columnist, Abigail van Buren, who determines what is right and wrong in her life. Her answer was as simple as it was profound: “I do.”

That is a truth you knew as little children. The rules and restrictions of grown-ups were nothing more than minor (or major) nuisances to you. You knew what was right and wrongfor you–no one had to tell you.

You and your spirit were so intimately intertwined because you still carried all the memories of what “the other side” was like.

Eventually you forgot all that, mostly because your parents and the other adults in your lives told you it was all nonsense. Or, more likely, they said it was “just your imagination.”

And so you became used to “reality” as defined by the “authority” figures around you.

But that little child within lives still. You get glimpses of him/her in your quiet moments, in your dreams, in your fantasies.

We encourage you to become reacquainted with that wise child within–and with the joy and carefree ways you once knew.

That little child is the real you, your true self. In reconnecting you will once again remember who you are and why you are here.

Life was never meant to be a struggle. Your little child knows that. Now it’s time for you to know it also.

In the early 1980s John took a spiritual development course, and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.

Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.”
