Spirit
We often speak of love as the choice to see the divinity in all beings. Unfortunately, humans often define love narrowly, usually in a romantic sense. Of course, love is far more than romantic feelings.
As your Bible says, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” Luke 6:27 How many humans, do you suppose, live—truly live—those words?
Now, we are not criticizing or condemning humans or their behavior. Everyone is doing the best they can with what they have.
We want to show you today how much more you can have than what you have now.
Take a walk in nature—in the woods, along the seashore, or anywhere you feel at peace. Notice all the life around you—the trees, the birds, the animals, the flowers, even the insects—all the life that fills your precious planet.
Do not just pass mindlessly through it all. Immerse yourself in it as you would a warm comforting bath on a cold and freezing winter’s night.
What have you just done? Think about it.
You have surrounded yourself with love, with God.
Does that sound silly? It’s the most loving act you can ever perform for yourself. You have placed yourself and all you love into the web of life, the web of God, the web of love.
Now you are home—the home you never truly left.

We’ve seen this video before. But it’s worth seeing again, as it speaks of the love between enemy soldiers of two countries at war with each other. The song is performed beautifully by Canadian singer John McDermott.

In the early 1980s, John took a spiritual development course and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides. Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.” Source
