One of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s core beliefs was that divinity is not found in some outside force, but within the human soul.

Many humans spend most, or all, their lives on a fruitless search for happiness, peace, riches, perfection, and so on. There is nothing wrong with wanting the “good” things of life, the gifts the world has to offer.

The problem is people often search only for the symbols—the outward manifestations of what they consider “the good life.”

And the good life is often seen as everything “out there”—money, influence, power, fancy possessions—all the trappings the world sees as “the good life.”

None of those things bring you what you’re really seeking—peace of mind, joy, loving relationships, and so on.

Let us tell you a little “secret”—you will never find what you seek in the world “out there.” What you truly seek and yearn for can be found in one place only—within.

All the riches you desire, all the love, all the peace, all the joy are within you.

“How can this be?” you might wonder, “I have nothing, I am nothing.” That is the lie you tell yourselves.

When you realize—and you all will finally realize this—God is within you, you will have come to the end of your search.

The God within you is the source of all you seek, all you have ever sought, all you will ever seek.

All the riches of the universe, material and spiritual, are within you because you are God.

When you know that, when you live that, you will have found all you need for an earthly life of riches, of all you need for a life filled with joy and peace.

Know you have God within you. Then you will live out the rest of your years on earth, and beyond, with perfect peace, perfect joy, perfect love.
