The November 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon of 17 Scorpio-Taurus Pt. 2

The November 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon of 17 Scorpio-Taurus Pt. 2

- Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of Taking
Signals From Within Expressed in Spiritual Power -

This coming Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon is the twenty-fourth since the December 2020 Solstice conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at 1 Aquarius which launched new 20 and 200 year eras.

This one helps us integrate and re-integrate our heart power in abundant ways! The more we release the bigger the void which will attract new things, people, and situations.

I’ll speak more about the bigger picture after the Sabian Symbols. For now, let’s take a closer look at this regenerative, activating, dynamic, conflicted Lunation which shows us the way to renewal through eliminating some people and behaviors from our lives to focus spiritual energy effectively. This helps us see the Light of “the inward Way” which will lead us to stirring transformations.

Through our releases and eliminations, we’ll focus the heart strength we’ve been building since early 2021 and give it a form authentic to who we are at our core. As the growth is in Taurus, take an abundant view of what to let go of and how much heart strength you’re cultivating by releasing old toxic memories, or memories of toxic relationships in the past.

As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we can use the power of that Solar eclipse to surrender old memories and feelings to the newer, deeper, and more relevant relationships currently happening. We’re all in process of deep transformations, so release all which keeps you from embracing the delight of living your truth in abundant ways! Though this eclipse promises important decisions, leaving old lesser things behind, and embracing heart strength, some will find latent powers coming forth, and glimpses of promises and rewards to come after a period of going everywhere and nowhere.

This eclipse has the Superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury opposing Moon conjunct Saturn. As the North Node is in Taurus, that’s the line of development, so activate and mobilize in a joyous battle of spirit shaping matter. Through eliminating the irrelevant and unimportant, focus the genius and/or higher potential of each opportunity, and move from theory into practice. There are innovations and breakthroughs promised by this eclipse, but only after a period when things are stripped away.

The Sun in Water and the Moon in Earth shows a time of the Fixed Water (stable if intense experience) of Scorpio expressing its concentrated magnetism through the Fixed Earth (grounded stable enjoyment) of Taurus. Because Scorpio and Taurus are so strong with SIX opposition in the middle degrees of those signs, this one will bring a laser focus to our houses where the oppositions are happening. This continues a run of Full Moon themes of getting clear on the actional and material levels of our existence.

At this time, no planet is in the first third of their signs, 5 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 5 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a huge emphasis on the social/emotional and individual, mental, and spiritual field, with a void in the actional-material field. This will be an extraordinary socially spiritualizing next two weeks (and 5 months)!

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. We are now in a time of the year when the inner planets are making their last oppositions to the outer planets, with this lunation putting the focus on Uranus. So this charts has six oppositions, not counting the Nodes. Those oppositions are this chart’s “Tension of Opposites.” We have the Moon conjunct Uranus with them opposed the Sun, Mercury, and Venus, creating an “awareness generator” between 15-22 Taurus and Scorpio.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Scorpio, making Mars is in Gemini the ruler of the Sun. The Moon is in Taurus, making Venus in Scorpio its ruler. Mars is in Gemini, making Mercury in Scorpio its ruler, setting up a “mutual reception” which governs all the inner planets and Uranus. So this Full Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus are all ruled by Mars which is ruled by Mercury.

This eclipse brings us to three final dispositors, those being Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. Jupiter in its home sign of Pisces rules itself, Saturn in Aquarius rules itself, Uranus in Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn. As usual, Neptune is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?

The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames

Venus is a strong force because it rules the Moon and Uranus, the planets which will express and give form to the power of the Sun conjunct Mercury. Even though Venus can be too intense in Scorpio, it is favorably aspecting Mars, Neptune, and Pluto, showing its ability to turn away from unfulfilling relationships and values and re-claim a purified attractive power. Venus may lead us to let go of much during the next few months, but that void will be filled with something authentic to who we are now.

If you want to know more about how to shape your Venus power to attract better friends and relations in the future, please consider getting your copy of my new book The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames. It is the most comprehensive book on Venus ever written, and explains why we attract who we do and how to create more satisfying relationships in the future. You will understand the foundations of long term healthy relationships and friendships, why Soul Mates come into our lives, and learn how to shape your attractive power to have happy relationships in the future. Even if you’re not looking for a partner, this book will explain why certain people with certain traits came into your life and what they taught you about yourself.

It has chapters on the qualities of each sign’s natural mate, the qualities of Venus in each sign, and when crucial choices and changes are made, affecting who we attract in the future. It was written for both astrologers and lay people, and as it has a thousand gems for better relationships, with self, others, and Source, please consider getting your copy by going to the link above! (And when you’re done, please leave a review on Amazon, since it helps the book and all other books on astrology as well!)

The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 17 Scorpio and 17 Taurus. (While some programs put them at 16, the planetary guide puts it at 16d 01m Scorpio/Taurus, thus 17.) It is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the social and emotional levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the second decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Pisces and Virgo.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar Sabian symbol for the 17th degree of Scorpio is “A woman the father of her own child.” In The Astrology of Personality, where Rudhyar uses the original Dr. Jones' class notes on the symbols, 17 Scorpio is one of “fullness of self-reliance and individual destiny,” “cooperation between spiritual and material agencies,” and “Pure self-revelation.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he says this degree is one of “A total reliance upon the dictates of the God-within,” where we experience “the result of a deep and complete concentration reaching to the innermost center of the personality where the Living God acts as a fecundating power.” Here we see the “potency of the inward way” where ego-surrender lead to dynamic manifestations of the Divine Will.

He says this “brings to us the realization of normally hidden potentialities,” where “Faith in the Divine” helps us become “A Mother of the Living God,” living a “transpersonal existence” that leads to “creative mutations.” Rudhyar says this degree falls in the Span of Appreciation, Act of Group Integration, and Scene of Faith on the Actional-Physical level.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of "the eternal conflict between the practical involvements and the ideal potentialities of human nature” emphasized in our “conscious individuality,” where our “Soul feels the weight of (our) transient responsibilities while the indwelling and immortal spirit is sensitive to its need for an enduring place in the scheme of things.” Here our “recurrent virgin birth of self” meets our world “through their common center of reality.”

He offers the keyword NUCLEATION. When operating positively, the degree is "an illimitable self-potentiality with effective spiritual or ideal as well as practical or everyday orientations.”

The Lunar Sabian Symbol for the 17th degree of Taurus is “A battle between the swords and the torches.” In the original Dr. Jones' class notes on the symbols, Rudhyar says this is a degree of “Struggle between might and enlightenment, physical desires and higher inspirations,” “Self-orientation,” and “Divine enthusiasm.”

In The Astrological Mandala he offers that this is a degree of “Refusing to depend upon the past, the seeker turns warrior, fighting anew the eternal ‘Great War.’” In an interesting correlation to this “externalization of the Wesak Festival” of Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio which celebrates the Full Moon that marked Gautama Siddhartha (the Buddha’s) birth, enlightenment, commencement of the teaching, and his death, Dane Rudhyar notes “When Gautama, having sought in vain for the answers to his questions among the teacher of tradition, sat under the Bodhi Tree, he had to fight his own battle in his own way, even though it is an eternal fight.”

Rudhyar goes on to say “the spiritual light within the greater Soul must struggle against the ego-will that only knows how to use the powers of this material and intellectual world... It is the energy that arises out of the present moment – the inescapable NOW – that the daring individual has to use in the struggle.” He also suggests this degree infers that enlightenment is attained through facing all issues “as if there were only two opposed sides” suggesting a “polarization of values.” According to Rudhyar, this degree falls in the Span of Enjoyment, Act of Differentiation, and Scene of Confirmation on the Actional-Physical level.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of "the eternal struggle between the practical necessities or transient competitions of life on the one hand and the motives and meanings which give them direction and order on the other.” He states this symbol is one of surviving and gaining genuine self-fulfillment by aligning ourselves with the causes of enlightenment while respecting “the manifestations of might.”

He offers the keyword RESOLUTION. When operating positively, the degree is "high organizational skill and an ability to bring the magic of understanding to any specific difficulty.”

These symbols imply that during the next two weeks (and 6 months) that the Light will lead us to a deeper connection with “the god within,” expressed through some form of joyous spiritual mobilization. We may see the light of “the inward way” which allows us to express spiritual power to overcome material challenges. The Lunar degree, being the same as Uranus, points the way to individuation and the wisdom which can express through Saturn’s understanding.

The Sun is in Scorpio, where we learn through eliminating all which obscures the truth of can and cannot or should and should not be attracted. This is a laser focus on the messages from our Higher Self, expressed in straightforward, simple, and joyous ways through rising to “the eternal battle” and stepping aside as our Spiritual Warrior, the One who cannot be defeated, fights the good fight. The Sun will show the Light of the fusion of Life and Mind leading us ever deeper to our “god within.”

The Moon in Taurus expresses this energy in simple, enjoyable actions which demonstrate the supremacy of the spiritual over the material. As it’s conjunct Uranus, while there may be moments of rebellion and/or pure genius, remember not to explode sideways as you wholeheartedly pursue your heart’s desire and go for your most unique individual expression. As this happens as the same degree as the 2012 Wesak Sun and Moon, obviously there is something from then which will shut down over the next 6 months.

We’re in an Era of Overlapping Capricorn and Aquarius Cycles

As you know by now, we had numerous important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March 2020, including a 12 year cycle and a 33 year cycle! Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all made conjunctions in Capricorn in January and March 2020 which were activated by Mars in March 2020. Mars completed its run at its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius which also set long wave preliminary Aquarian structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies expanded which will show effects over the next decade! If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published yesterday.

TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption

I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back which I’ve just updated. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Spiritual Lessons of 2022. We have now entered a long period of getting over our prejudices and preconceptions, and approaching others from an angle of “the fellowship of humanity.”

*********

At the 2020 World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
