Aspects, Evolutionary Configurations, and More.

This Full Moon brings a view of a satisfying present and a dynamic future of adventure, preparation, integration, and renewal.

This brings a realization for the need to eliminate some ideas from the past and reverse any errors in effort of the past. This gives us a look back at “spiritual linkage through emotional stress” and the “blessings which come after the death of useless things.”

This Full Moon fulfills the Leo New Moon themes, which means we’ve been finding ways be honest with ourselves and others as we withdraw from past dramas and find a measure of peace and enjoyment as we prepare for the future. We are now able to go through a “genuine rejuvenation” and life renewal as well as find a deeper connection to Source.

This is an intensely frictional and integrative period with everyone challenged to “right action” over the next two weeks. Original thinking which is adaptable, exploratory, and optimistic are favored, as is showing your genius or originality to your world. Jupiter opens a new adventure in learning how to integrate our personalities within the realm of our Higher Self. Scorpio and Sagittarius are the solutions to most problems which will arise these next two weeks. This one gives a look back and a look forward.

Evolutionary Configurations

This month we have FIVE evolutionary configurations, two involving the Lunation, two involving Venus and Saturn, with Jupiter and Uranus a factor in two. This is the first inner planet opposition to Saturn this year. This month the configurations are:

1) The Moon is opposed by the Sun conjunct Mercury, with Jupiter cutting the opposition into quintiles and tredeciles, creating three points of a “10 Pointed Star of Quintessential Serendipity.” This brings unique gifts and interactive blessings to those with planets near 1 Pisces/Virgo, 3-7 Aries/Libra, 9-13 Taurus/Scorpio, 15-19 Gemini/Sagittarius, 21-25 Cancer/Capricorn, and 27-30 Leo/Aquarius. So we’re all being given a chance to generate special qualities and talents these next two weeks which can be released into expression via…

2) The Moon opposed by the Sun/Mercury show all of them square Uranus, creating a T-square with a powerful release void at 25-30 Scorpio, showing the potential problems and/or solutions to the expression of these squares. Uranus squares challenge us to express our individuality without eccentricity or willful aberrant behavior. Be decisive in responding to requests for your skills, and throw yourself into the direction of your heart’s desire. Find a practical grounding for your genius these next two weeks, and follow the current toward a “genuine rejuvenation.”

3) Venus is opposed Saturn, with Uranus cutting the opposition into a quintile and tredecile, creating three points of another “10 Pointed Star of Quintessential Serendipity.” This brings unique gifts and interactive blessings to those with planets near 1 Gemini/Sagittarius, 3-7 Capricorn/Cancer, 9-13 Aquarius/Leo, 15-19 Pisces/Virgo, 21-25 Aries/Libra, and 27-30 Taurus/Scorpio. 4) Venus is opposed Saturn and both are square Mars and Venus, creating a T-square with a powerful release void at 16-21 Sagittarius, showing the potential problems and/or solutions to the expression of these squares. Jupiter squares challenge us to embrace a new adventure, a wider point of view, a greater philosophical-spiritual openness, and a genuine sense of humor. Open to an adventure in higher truths and views, relax into whatever protects you as you stay “alertly ready to act,” and if appropriate, reorient and get free of physical, emotional, or mental pollution you can’t take into the future you’re preparing for.

What’s interesting about these 4 configurations is that each one gives a benefit to the other, with both T-square drivers made more distinct in some way through a specializing quality. And given Uranus is on a degree of rejuvenation and Jupiter’s on a degree of integration of personality by the Higher Self, it looks like both T-squares will yield great benefits these next two weeks!

5) The Sun is the nozzle of a Yod with Neptune and Pluto, bringing light and vitality to whatever Mercury’s Yod promised just a few days ago. A Yod is a “double sacrifice to achieve a double expansion” type of energy. If something’s being squeezed out of your life or affairs, it’s needed for your spiritual focus, at least for a while. This will teach us all about sharing and nonpossessiveness, as well as how the parts reveal the whole. Major Aspects

Besides the various aspects I gave you related to the evolutionary configurations, forming (or partile separating) inner planet aspects include the Moon quadranovile Venus and elftile Neptune; Mercury is quindecile Venus, sextile Mars, quadranovile Saturn, biquintile Neptune, and triseptile Pluto; Venus is opposed Neptune; and the Sun is quadranovile Saturn.

Outer planet aspects include Mars quindecile Uranus and binovile Neptune; Jupiter is binovile Neptune; Saturn is quintile Uranus and semisquare Pluto; and Uranus is sextile Neptune and Neptune is in the closest sextile with Pluto in 30 years!

Friction comes from 1 semisquare, 7 squares, and 2 quincunxes. Semisquares are internal friction at the beginning or end of a cycle, and to me represent the irritating metaphoric “grain of sand” in the oyster of our lives which creates a pearl or awareness.

Squares are integrative, while sesquisquares are interactive, annoying and/or agitating, but not necessarily crisis producing. A quincunx always represents an adjust or sacrifice of some sort. Just remember to decrease aggravation when a frictional aspect is in play.

This month’s aspects: In the series related to destiny and “fate,” we find 1 triseptile. In the 9th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 2 binoviles and 3 quiaranoviles. In the 11th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 1 elfile. The specializing aspect series provides us with 2 quindeciles, 3 quintiles, 2 tredeciles, and 1 biquintile.

For those new to the craft, quintiles and biquintiles are 5th harmonic aspects, septiles and triseptiles are 7th harmonic aspects, noviles are 9th harmonic aspects, deciles (semi-quintiles) and tredeciles are 10th harmonic aspects. The elftile series are 11th harmonic aspects, the quindecile is a 15th harmonic aspect, and the vigintile is a 20th harmonic aspect. Each of these has a unique function in the phase relationship of the two planets in aspect.

The 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th harmonic aspects are specializing and bring forth partially or fully developed quintessential elements of the planets involved. The novile (9th harmonic), septile (7th harmonic) and elftile (11th harmonic) series all feature spiritual aspects. All novile series (9th harmonic) aspects represent entry or exit points of periods of gestation which can bring forth possible spiritual developments. These aspects indicate things which need to be put on the shelf for a while, or that which has been gestating can now move forward. They represent gestative energies that can lead to great spiritual realizations.

Septile series aspects represent forks in the road of destiny, where we make choices determining karmic future developments. This series is ruled by Saturn, where we create and fulfill karma by our choices during those phase shifts. The 11th harmonic elftile series aspects involve situations where there is a need to transcend and master some form of duality by making a leap of faith. In transcending those dualistic situations, dilemmas, challenges, and thinking, we resolve the problem and learn techniques of mastering those sorts of dualities in the future. This series tests our faith. Both the 7th and 11th series involve non-rational aspect values, bringing an element of irrationality in behavior and circumstances.

The various aspects in all these different harmonic series indicate points where the theme of the Whole Cycle becomes clear, whether through major developments or minor refinements in the process. Each aspect shows a phase relationship, specific to the special and unique circumstances of that particular Whole Cycle. It's how we can know when to work, when to play, when to create, when to imagine, when to have faith, and when to mobilize!

The Eclipse Factor

We’ve had a long run of eclipses which continue to affect us. In 2020 we had a Solstice Solar eclipse at 1 Cancer and a December Solar eclipse at 24 Sagittarius. In 2021 we had a June Solar eclipse at 20 Gemini and a December Solar eclipse at 13 Sagittarius. In 2022, we had an April Solar eclipse at 11 Taurus, a May Wesak Festival Lunar eclipse at 26 Scorpio, an October Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio and a November Total Lunar eclipse at 17 Taurus.

In 2023, we had an April Solar eclipse at 30 Aries, a May Wesak Festival Lunar eclipse at 15 Taurus/Scorpio, an October Solar eclipse at 22 Libra, and an October Lunar eclipse at 6 Taurus/Scorpio. This year we just had an April Solar eclipse at 20 Aries, and this Wesak Festival Full Moon at 5 Taurus/Scorpio. As I explained in earlier articles, all the Lunar eclipses work over just a few months, while Solar eclipse effects last for years.

As you know, I see all eclipses as “cosmic recyclers” removing what we no longer need in the houses where they occurred. All these Solar eclipses, along with others, have allowed us to “shed skins” wherever we have 9, 19, and 30 Pisces, 28 Aquarius, 29 Leo, 10 Virgo, and 21 Virgo, as well as the degrees of the recent eclipses at 1 Cancer, 24 Sagittarius, 20 Gemini, 20 and 30 Aries, 22 Libra and 13 Sagittarius. As you can see, that involves a large part of our charts! You can find out which Solar eclipses are still showing effects by referring to Astrology in April 2024 - On The Threshold of a Total Solar Eclipse at 20 Aries which lists which eclipses are done and which are still in play (other parts which followed elaborate on the current eclipse.) That list also has links to the October 2022 Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio, the April 2023 Solar eclipse at 30 Aries, and the October 2023 Solar eclipse at 22 Libra.

A good meditation would be to take a look back at how something related to those points in your chart ended after those eclipses, and examine how new events, new people, and new life experiences came in those chart areas. All our losses of the past few years associated with these signs have left voids which have attracted, are attracting, or will attract life contents more appropriate to who we are now. Alternately, you may be feeling a void because someone else really isn’t there. Now it’s time to turn to what will nourish you.

Element Balance

This Full Moon features a fairly balanced element distribution. At this time, of the traditional 10 planets, there are 2 planets in Water signs, 2 in Fire, 2 in Earth, and 4 in Air. This makes Air (Relatedness and Communications) preponderant with a balance between Water (Feelings and Experiencing Life on Deep Levels), Earth (Practicality and Grounding) and Fire (Inspiration and Light).

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, it’s slightly more cool than hot. This should favor the exchange of a lot of ideas as well as some great connections to be made.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This begins a new pattern.

For now, as a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience over the next 2 weeks involves beginning activity with a vision, or an understanding, or a communication, and then makes decisions and actions based in those things. While it is tempting to move back into more thinking, communicating, and envisioning, it is more important to move from deciding or acting into feeling what we’re experiencing as a result of those actions and decisions, and bring those feelings to the surface of your consciousness and get clear about what you’re feeling and why.

By naming the feeling or experience, it will naturally lead us back to new information, new vision, new ideals, and new understanding upon which you can do your next set of decisions and actions. Then again name what you’re feeling. That way nothing will get bottled up through underuse, and you can move through experiences with power and clarity. And yes, with Mercury retrograde, don't get too hung up on the past, or the lack of completeness in your understanding. Things may take some interesting twists and turns before it all becomes clear in late August.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Because of its dance with Jupiter and Pluto for months to come, Saturn is a major player in creating dynamic change through letting the past go, revising some of our ideas, and being willing to receive what nourishment we need. Saturn is bringing us important Piscean lessons wherever we have mid-Pisces in our charts, and important decisions to planets we have in the middle degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Saturn has led us through a major life renewal since June 2023, so continue to follow that compassionate understanding because we must release all we cannot take into the Saturn in Aries phase beginning next year. Saturn brings maturity and structure to Pisces, and so is teaching us to open to the Grace which comes from forgiveness coupled with gratitude. Let go, let God, and let it flow down the timestream.

Saturn, our “spiritual teacher and spiritual friend” in Pisces brings an ocean of water to our Capricorn/Aquarius sectors and any natal or progressed planets we have in those signs. Though Saturn can accompany heavy lessons, it is the part of us which can take charge of our lives and destiny by using Saturn’s virtues in the right way and time. Our ability to steer our “ship of personality” into our higher destiny brings us new parts to play on the stage of Life.

We’re still in a long wave period of saying goodbye to old roles and embracing newer more effective roles to play in the emergent Aquarian era. We continue to master navigating the fogs and illusions of Pisces, finding understanding, Divine Grace, and spiritual power in forgiveness and steering the process of closing out old ways as they present themselves.

We’ll have Saturn quintile Uranus for many months to come, so enjoy the dance of specialization between what has been and what’s emerging. As Saturn gives us a review of the past at this time, Uranus brings us to a threshold of a major life renewal, with major effects to be found in planets we have near 26-30 Taurus, 8-12 Leo, 20-24 Libra, 2-6 Capricorn, and 14-18 Pisces. Summing it Up

We are now in a totally future oriented time of breaking loose, breaking free, and breaking through! While there will be plenty of changes in our late Fixed sign sectors and our middle Mutable sign sectors, there are so many favorable aspects that I can encourage you to cut loose into a wider future. Turn away from ambivalence, from scattered thinking and efforts, and be willing to share liberally with others.

We’re integrating and/or reintegrating, getting a broader view, and are moving into the greater “consecration” resulting from the renewal we’ve been through since the Summer of 2023. The next two weeks help us to a new point of view about past “spiritual linkages through emotional stress” and the “blessings which come after the death of obsolete things.” Time to enjoy life!

We’re definitely in the Jupiter in Gemini era, so open to learning new things, seeing new things, understanding from new angles, and pursuing the power to sense that which nourishes but isn’t apparent. As noted, one of the qualities of this Full Moon is that Jupiter both builds unique factors in our “further adventures into the future” and releases the potential and all the fears and ambivalence which has kept us from embracing a greater understanding and view. We’ve begun a stage of externalizing the discoveries we have found since late May.

With so much Pisces, Gemini, and Leo, we’re moving out of an old collective mindset as the seeds of the future Aquarian global energies sprout. With Saturn and Neptune in Pisces keep cultivating compassion while letting the past flow down the time stream. Keep deepening your connection with your spiritual Brothers and Sisters. Since January 1 we’ve begun movement into a new world, and been forced to give up lesser things as a greater life presented itself.

Because of the 2023 Solar eclipse in Libra, we’re seeing who or what needs nourishment and finding ways to offer it to them, or conversely, we may need to let those forms go in order to know new things to nourish. With each coming year, we’ll see definite movement away from the ideas which dominated the old 200 year Earth Era and see more of the emergent 200 year Air Era launched at the December 2020 Solstice.

This transitional period requires that we ask ourselves certain questions related to our spiritual purpose, fearless as we are One with the World Soul and walk through the world but are not “of” the world. We have been finding new inner strengths and powers the past four years, and learned the spiritual power of gratitude which brought assistance from Devas and Angels. We’re now in a time of getting over our preconceptions.

Forgiving much with compassion for the generic human condition, we are being released from all which doesn’t serve our momentum into our greater purpose. This is the heart of a global acceleration in transforming those who are part of a greater service and group work. Embrace a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression in grounded ways, so keep your mind and heart open and keep coordinating your body, feelings, and mind to demonstrate a stable and harmonized Soul energy. That's a great part to play as we dance through life's changes!

A Meditation on Light and Shadow

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, and something new is introduced into our lives, it means that something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities. As I’ve offered before “enlightenment” is a verb more than it is a noun.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
