Aspects, Evolutionary Configurations, and More.

This Full Moon helps us achieve closure while receiving huge doses of spiritual energy which will lead to new heart strengths and deeper connections with Source.

This Full Moon fulfills the Aries Solar eclipse New Moon themes, which means we’ve been reinterpreting many things from our past as we stand on the threshold of a new life. This lunation continues to help us achieve closure in many old feelings, so bless the passages. learning forms of mastery and organized ways to begin closing out certain life areas and reconsidering recent entries into new life areas.

We’ve been learning resilience and this brings a time to value communication techniques. Whatever is unveiled shows the way forward. We’re still liberating ourselves from the ghosts of the past, and are challenged to see what we want to perpetuate into the future and what must be blessed to flow down the timestream.

Evolutionary Configurations

This month we have 4 evolutionary configurations, 2 involving the Moon, 3 involving Mars, and 3 involving Venus and Saturn. In no particular order, this month the configurations are:

1) Venus/Saturn/Mercury are trine Mars with all sextile Uranus. This creates three power points of of a “6 Pointed Star of Stable Productive Awareness” which has 24-30 of the Earth and Water signs as its focus. This is a purely building configuration. We’re also in an 8 week run of Venus trine Mars!

2) The Moon/Sun opposition is cut into a T-square by Mars. This is powerfully integrative and shows the need for “right action” concerning planets we have between 22 and 30 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. As the void of the T is in Capricorn, that’s what’s needed to release productive activity. Also, here the Sun and Moon both release the productive stabilizing energies received by Mars, making Mars extremely important.

3) Venus/Saturn is sextile Uranus with the Moon forming multiple quincunxes to all of them, making the Moon the nozzle for the Yod configuration. This is a multiple “expansion through sacrifice” type of energy, squeezing out all which is unnecessary for a clear spiritual expression of late Libra energy by the Moon. Allow the productive elegant empathic “discipline of originality” to express itself in balanced ways. The added heart strength shown by the Moon is what is needed to heal, correct, repair, or reconstruct something to resolve the past and secure a unique form of our heart’s desire.

4) Mercury/Venus/Saturn are binovile Jupiter and trinovile (trine) Mars. This activates three zones of a “9 pointed Star of Spiritual Realizations.” This configuration involves realizations coming after a period of gestation, or putting some things on hold so they mature a while. Zones most affected include 5-9 Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, and 15-19 Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, and 25-29 Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. (As these are the exact zones activated in January 2024, there may be revelations related to that period.)

Besides these two, we also have 3 other aspects which deserve mention. The most powerful of these is Venus/Saturn septile Pluto, bringing Saturn to its first major “fork in the road of destiny” to what was set into motion in early 2020 at their conjunction. This will be in play through April, with finality achieved by December 2025. This primarily affect zones around 2-6 Aquarius, 23-27 Pisces, 15-19 Taurus, 6-10 Cancer, 28 Leo- 2 Virgo, 19-23 Libra, and 11-15 Sagittarius.

The Moon triseptiles Mercury opens zones around 22-26 Libra, 14-18 Sagittarius, 6-10 Aquarius, 27 Pisces-1 Aries, 18-22 Taurus, 9-13 Cancer, and 1-5 Virgo. As with the one above, if you have one or more planets in any of these zones, you’re at a fork in the road in that area of your life! Taken together, you can see they span as much as 9 degree in a given or across late Pisces and early Aries!

Last but not least, we have Sun conjunct Chiron. This will illuminate our teacher/mentor energy. Use the resilience you've been developing to communicate with others in healing ways. This can offer us concentrated doses of spiritual energy which can heal us so we can live the Light of our Higher Self!

Major Aspects

Besides the various aspects I gave you related to the evolutionary configurations, forming (or partile separating) inner planet aspects include the Moon widely triseptile Neptune; Mercury is elftile Venus, quindecile the Sun, conjunct Neptune (out of sign/oos), and sextile Pluto (oos); Venus is semisextile the Sun and conjunct Neptune (oos); and the Sun is widely septile Jupiter, semisextile Saturn, elftile Uranus, quindecile Neptune, and binovile Pluto.

Outer planet aspects include Mars trine Neptune and opposition Pluto, both oos; Jupiter is vigintile Uranus and sesquisquare Pluto; Saturn is conjunct Neptune oos; Uranus is sextile Neptune oos, and Neptune will be in close sextile most of this year.

Friction comes from no semisquares, 2 squares, 1 sesquisquare, and 3 quincunxes. Semisquares are internal friction at the beginning or end of a cycle, and to me represent the irritating metaphoric “grain of sand” in the oyster of our lives which creates a pearl or awareness.

Squares are integrative, while sesquisquares are interactive, annoying and/or agitating, but not necessarily crisis producing. This lunation there isn’t one quincunx, which always represents an adjustment or sacrifice of some sort. Just remember to decrease aggravation when a frictional aspect is in play.

For those new to the craft, quintiles and biquintiles are 5th harmonic aspects, septiles and triseptiles are 7th harmonic aspects, noviles are 9th harmonic aspects, deciles (semi-quintiles) and tredeciles are 10th harmonic aspects. The elftile series are 11th harmonic aspects, the quindecile is a 15th harmonic aspect, and the vigintile is a 20th harmonic aspect. Each of these has a unique function in the phase relationship of the two planets in aspect.

The 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th harmonic aspects are specializing and bring forth partially or fully developed quintessential elements of the planets involved. The novile (9th harmonic), septile (7th harmonic) and elftile (11th harmonic) series all feature spiritual aspects. All novile series (9th harmonic) aspects represent entry or exit points of periods of gestation which can bring forth possible spiritual developments. These aspects indicate things which need to be put on the shelf for a while, or that which has been gestating can now move forward. They represent gestative energies that can lead to great spiritual realizations.

Septile series aspects represent forks in the road of destiny, where we make choices determining karmic future developments. This series is ruled by Saturn, where we create and fulfill karma by our choices during those phase shifts. The 11th harmonic elftile series aspects involve situations where there is a need to transcend and master some form of duality by making a leap of faith. In transcending those dualistic situations, dilemmas, challenges, and thinking, we resolve the problem and learn techniques of mastering those sorts of dualities in the future. This series tests our faith. Both the 7th and 11th series involve non-rational aspect values, bringing an element of irrationality in behavior and circumstances.

The various aspects in all these different harmonic series indicate points where the theme of the Whole Cycle becomes clear, whether through major developments or minor refinements in the process. Each aspect shows a phase relationship, specific to the special and unique circumstances of that particular Whole Cycle. It's how we can know when to work, when to play, when to create, when to imagine, when to have faith, and when to mobilize!

Element Balance

This Full Moon shows an imbalance in the elements, with Water in the forefront, a healthy dose of Air, and relatively little Fire and Earth. At this time, the traditional 10 planets show 4 planets in Water signs, 2 in Fire, 1 in Earth, and 3 in Air. This makes Water (Feelings and Experiencing Life on Deep Levels) heavily preponderant, with a healthy dose of Air (Relatedness and Communications), and somewhat of a deficiency of Fire (Inspiration and Light) and Earth (Practicality and Grounding).

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, it’s slightly more hot than cool with lots of feeling.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This begins a new pattern. For now, as a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience as things some fall apart involves beginning activity with feeling, then thinking, and then making decisions.

This pattern initiates activity by feeling its way into ideas, perceptions, and information. Let your hunches lead to new knowledge. Then, after a new idea, vision, or understanding, then make a decision and act on it! Try not to overplan too far into the future. Take your feeling-knowing one step at a time, and keep things in balanced motion, even if they go all over the place at times.

Once we’ve made a decision and acted on it, then a new feeling will naturally arise showing the next thing to learn about, communicate, or understand. So feel, flow, and experience, since these will lead you to ideas and views that will in turn lead to the next decision.

The issue with this pattern in play is that with Venus conjunct Saturn, there will be a heaviness to our initial approach to experience. It’s why things feel so heavy right now. So try to take a mature view of your feelings and flow into the perceptions as things fall apart and new life presents itself. Make sure your feelings are accurate, compassionate, and productive as you seek new ideas and understanding.

This pattern is sensitive to others’ feelings, and when healthy usually offers a positive and encouraging take on things. It is said this pattern has the best “bedside manner,” and can be a good sounding board to bounce all kinds of things off of until everything’s been discussed and processed so that a clear decision can be made. This pattern offers us that the journey of a thousand miles is truly one step at a time.

So if you’re wondering what to do, reference your feelings from a place of objectivity and compassion. Once you have “retreated to compassion,” then find your vision or understanding you need to execute an action or make a decision.

If you’re wondering what to do, go to your feelings and sit with them. What are you experiencing which can help you feel what you need to know before you act? If you understand something but don’t know what to do, what are your feelings telling you that you must do? If your actions aren’t bringing you clarity, what internal feelings are blocking your vision? Let your feelings lead you to clear ideas which help you make decisions.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Because of its conjunction with Venus, Mercury, and the North Node and trine from Mars, Saturn is a major stabilizing presence was we move through the endings and beginnings of the next year. At the end of Pisces it continues to be a major player in creating dynamic change through letting go of the past and expressing our spiritual power with courage and intention. Saturn’s now on its way to Aries this May! Saturn is bringing us important Piscean lessons wherever we have late Pisces in our charts, and important decisions to planets we have in the late degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Saturn has led us through a major life renewal since June 2023, so we continue to release all we cannot take into the Saturn in Aries phase beginning this year. Saturn brings maturity and structure to Pisces, and so is teaching us to open to the Grace which comes from forgiveness coupled with gratitude. Let go, let God, and let it flow down the timestream.

Saturn, our “spiritual teacher and spiritual friend” in Pisces brings an ocean of water to our Capricorn/Aquarius sectors and any natal or progressed planets we have in those signs. Though Saturn can accompany heavy lessons, it is the part of us which can take charge of our lives and destiny by using Saturn’s virtues in the right way and time. Our ability to steer our “ship of personality” into our higher destiny brings us new parts to play on the stage of Life.

We’re still in a long wave period of saying goodbye to old roles and embracing newer more effective roles to play in the emergent Aquarian era. We continue to master navigating the fogs and illusions of Pisces, finding understanding, Divine Grace, and spiritual power in forgiveness and steering the process of closing out old ways as they present themselves.

Summing it Up

Between now and the beginning of 2026, we are in a transition zone between “the end of the end and the beginning of the beginning.” The recent eclipses will quickly shut down many things we cannot bring with us into the new Aries era already dawning. Give up lesser things, or that which you haven’t used in a long time and may never use again. Dispersing creates space to navigate the deep emotional flow going on this year.

We are now developing through North Node in Pisces, so learn the flow, feel the larger spiritual field, and grow toward your sense of abundance cultivated this past year even as things begin to fall apart. With Venus, Saturn, and the North Node in Pisces for the next 3 weeks, we learn from Pisces, and show what we know in Virgo.

Despite the different pace, get as much done as you can, stay connected with Source, and honor your deep feelings which connect you to all Beings. This is a time of enhanced “non-local awareness” as we navigate several sets of foggy passages, so get clear and stay clear about the joyous promise of the future focused as an ability to glide across the surface of the hard conditions. Celebrate what comes, celebrate what goes, celebrate what endures, and celebrate the movement forward in April.

See the deeper elements in Nature teaching you about life passages, quicken to the promise which will be fulfilled in the Spring, and accept the power while also understanding that enlightenment is a verb rather than a noun. Pay no attention to the confusion, dread, or uncertainty as you find the “cloak” you need to go into the world so you are not exposed to the destructive elements now raging.

With each coming year, we’ll see definite movement away from the ideas which dominated the old 200 year Earth Era and see more of the emergent 200 year Air Era launched at the December 2020 Solstice. This transitional period requires that we ask questions related to our spiritual purpose, fearless as we are One with the World Soul and walk through the world but are not “of” the world. We have found inner strength the past four years, and learned the spiritual power of gratitude which brought assistance from Devas and Angels.

Forgiving much with compassion for the generic human condition, we are being released from all which doesn’t serve our momentum into our greater purpose. This is the heart of a global acceleration in transforming those who are part of a greater service and group work. Embrace a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression in grounded ways, so keep your mind and heart open and keep coordinating your body, feelings, and mind to demonstrate a stable and harmonized Soul energy. That's a great part to play as we dance through life's changes!

A Meditation on Light and Shadow

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, and something new is introduced into our lives, it means that something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities. As I’ve offered before “enlightenment” is a verb more than it is a noun.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
