Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of
Spiritual Understanding Expressed Through Heart Power.

As most of you know, the December 2020 Solstice conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at 1 Aquarius launched new 20 and 200 year eras.

This Full Moon brings the power to act with potent social and emotional energies expressed through techniques which repair inner and outer relationships. Be open to communications and communicating with others!

I’ll speak more about the bigger picture after the Sabian Symbols. For now, let’s take a closer look at this Full Moon happening at 5:22 pm PDT on April 12 at 24 Aries/Libra which offers great depth connections while releasing powerful reorganizational energy. The next two weeks will put the focus on repairing something quickly but cautiously as we get closure via the exalted Venus conjunct Saturn at the end of Pisces.

As this Full Moon has Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra, the Light of a genuine direct action can be expressed through Libra’s elegant and balance style. Show courage as you mobilize to "break on through to the other side." The Light of individual initiative can now be expressed through a vision of an ideal. This is an Arian Light of Direct Illumination expressed through a Libra feeling-vision, and begins a two week reminder that any influx of spiritual power demands it be used to repair something in this world.

Aries is the Light of direct action expressed through Libra balance, grace, style, and inner equilibrium. Aries can provide the courage and determination to express an ideal, or shut down an old facet of our expression so better ones can come forth. This is the Light of a new potential expressed through the need for clarity shown by the Moon. Because Aries/Libra is the axis of the archetype of the Lover/Relator, we can be ourselves as we dance with others and life itself. Be yourself, express yourself, enjoy yourself, and witness your integrity.

The Sun in Fire and the Moon in Air shows a time of the Cardinal Fire (activating inspiration) of Aries expressing its initiating Light through the Cardinal Air (activating relatedness and associations) of Libra. This is the next in a run of Full Moons from October 2024 through June 2025 on the social and emotional levels in their signs, and the last of 3 in 2025 on the 24th degree of their signs.

At this time, 2 planets are in the first third of their signs, 1 planet is in the second third of their signs, and 7 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a major emphasis in the individual, mental, and spiritual field, with less emphasis on the social and emotional field and the actional-material field.

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. We are now in a time of the year when the inner planets are in a many month run of making conjunctions with the outer planets. In this chart we have 2 forming oppositions, the Moon opposed the Sun, and Mars in an out of sign opposition to Pluto. These create “awareness generator” zones between 22-26 Aries/Libra and 27 Cancer/Capricorn - 5 Leo/Aquarius.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Aries, ruled by Mars in Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon in Libra which is ruled by Venus in Pisces which is ruled by Jupiter in Gemini which is ruled by Mercury in Pisces. As you can see, both the Sun and Moon are in the same chain which is ruled by the Mutual Reception of Mercury and Jupiter, a very powerful self-reinforcing closed circuit energy field.

Besides the Lunation, Mercury in Pisces is ruled by Jupiter in Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury. Venus in Pisces is ruled by Jupiter. Mars in Cancer is ruled by the Moon as outlined before. Jupiter is in Gemini, ruled by Mercury. Saturn in Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, Uranus in Taurus is ruled by Venus, Pluto in Aquarius is ruled by Saturn, and as usual, Neptune is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. That means all the planets except Neptune are ruled by the “mutual reception” of Mercury at 29 Pisces and Jupiter at 18 Gemini in a binovile, a spiritual aspect.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames

Venus is stationary direct at 25 Pisces, conjunct Saturn and the North Node, sextile Uranus and trine Mars for weeks to come. Pisces is Her sign of “exaltation,” or Her line of greatest evolutionary growth. And Her conjunction with Saturn is septile Pluto, marking a huge fork in the road of how we are expressing our Aquarian power and mandate in play since 2021.

She now will help purify our lives wherever we have 25/26 Pisces so we can grow into the abundance developed by the North Node at 28 Pisces. The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 24 Aries and 24 Libra. It is said that the third third (decan) of any sign deals with the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the third decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Sagittarius/Jupiter (with an added dose of Venus) and Gemini/Mercury (with an added dose of Jupiter).

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar degree symbol for the 24th degree of Aries is "An open window and a net curtain blowing into a cornucopia.” In the original Jones class notes Dane Rudhyar published in The Astrology of Personality, he states this degree is about “good fortune attending upon the putting forth of effort,” “rush of spiritual forces into the conscious ego,” and “protection.”

In The Astrological Mandala,, Rudhyar says this degree is about “Openness to the influx of spiritual energies.” He offers that this is about abundance “operating at a more subtle and spiritual level,” where “the wind (pneuma, spirit) blows through the open mind-window and brings into the house of personality a promise of more-than-material potency.” He notes that wind blows from “a region of high pressure to one of low pressure,” and “as the window curtains are blown inward, the individual consciousness represented by the house is receiving a more concentrated influx of spiritual energies, enabling this consciousness to extend the scope of its awareness and creative expression.”

He states “inner growth demands not just an open mind but one able to provide a container for a spiritual harvest,” and he speaks of the “cornucopian shape of the window’s curtains suggests that the subtler translucent aspect of the mind (the curtains) has acquired a plastic quality enabling it to be molded by transpersonal forces.” He states this is in the Span of Examination, and is the technique degree of the emotional-social level of Potency in the Act of Differentiation.

Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, offers that this degree is a symbol of “the mutual prodigality of (ourselves and our world) whenever we retain our uninhibited enthusiasm and so welcomes every varying and recurrent opportunity opening up before us.” He speaks of “the continued outer manifestations of what at times may seem to be an unmerited good fortune, but they merely show the human and cosmic facets of reality in a convenient and joyful realization of each other.”

He offers us the keyword MUNIFICENCE. He goes on to say that when operating in a positive way, this symbol is “an irrepressible genius for capturing the richer rewards of life and providing a wider distribution for the higher realities.”

The Lunar Sabian Symbol for the 24th degree of Libra is "A third wing on the left side of a butterfly.” In The Astrology of Personality, where Rudhyar uses the original Dr. Jones' class notes on the symbols, 24 Libra is said to be a symbol of “Potentiality of new forms and opportunities in every life” and “instinctive expansion of self; or submergence in the not-self.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he says this degree involves “the ability to develop for inner strengthening, new modes of response to basic life situations.” He states “the butterfly is the ancient and traditional symbol of the results of the process of spiritual rebirth. If the butterfly has three wings instead of two, a special development of an aspect of the spiritual life is shown. Three is a symbol of fulfillment.”

He offers this means a power is added to the normal transformational process, and “the left side” is the “instinctual field of consciousness, but “it’s also the heart side.” He speaks of the potential for a new strength, or some technique which could constitute an “original mutation.” He says it falls in the span of Revelation and it’s the technique degree of the emotional-cultural level of the scene of Reconstruction in the Act of Group Integration.

According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the degree is one of “the illimitable potentiality” and of the rewards that result from retaining our “own unconditioned uniqueness of make-up” and we are “alert to whatever opportunities arise” in our world which allow our “own special destiny to fulfill itself.” He speaks of “fundamental affinities of all differentiation as these …. Make their particular contribution to human experience.”

He offers us the keyword of DISTINCTIVENESS. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is "an idealistic originality and a high facility in quick analysis.

So the specific theme of the Sun in this eclipse involves accepting an influx of spiritual energies which will bring new opportunities for growth and sharing. The more you open to spiritual energies the more spiritual energies will open you. Cultivate “generosity of spirit” and you’ll do just fine!

These will be expressed in some way by the Moon which involves a technique allowing us to develop new ways of responding to emergent heart strengths, in the realms where we have already fulfilled some emotional or social repair or reconstruction. This is the promise of reconstructing a primal connection with Life to achieve a form of life renewal that transforms our ego, so repair or reconstruct connections between you and your God, or Spirit, or your own Higher Self.

We’re in an Era of Overlapping Capricorn and Aquarius Cycles

As you know by now, we had numerous important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March 2020, including a 12 year cycle and a 33 year cycle! Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all made conjunctions in Capricorn in January and March 2020 which were activated by Mars in March 2020. Mars completed its run at its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius which also set long wave preliminary Aquarian structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape for the next 16-17 years. The next few weeks renews that Aquarius pulse, and promises 2024 to be a very “Aquarian” year!

We’re seeing the competition between the Capricorn and Aquarian cycles play out in the world between the regressives and the progressives, between the forces of control and the forces which resist control, and between the materialists and the idealists. The Capricorn cycles will be in play for many years to come, but by mid-century they will wane while the Aquarian cycles will have become dominant.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies expanded which will show effects over the next decade! TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption

I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back. At the 2020 World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being.
