For the week of April 11th thru the 18th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Aries
The Full Moon on Saturday could be something of a wakeup call in more ways than one. Full Moons are often revelatory. And the Libra Moon has this way of showing us something about our relationships, or why we do relationships the way we do. But perhaps more importantly with this one, is how you may have been putting the emphasis so much so on others that you have been neglecting your own well-being. This is because the Full Moon shines a light on the centaur Chiron, which has been galloping through your sign for almost a full 7 years. If your birthday falls on or around the Full Moon on April 12th, you will be all the more sensitive to this Moon. When a Full Moon falls on or near your birthday, the new beginnings implied by your birthday, may require you to resolve or tie up some loose ends first, or bring an old order to some final conclusion, before you can proceed. Something may need to end in order to make a new beginning. But perhaps what is true for all Aries-kind is the importance of recognizing that self-care is not selfish. It’s okay for you to take up space. However, Libra is a sign of balance, which lets you know that both your needs and the needs of others are important. And if any sort of imbalance has occurred recently, this is your opportunity to either restore that balance and reclaim your time, and/or take some extra time to acknowledge and appreciate the most important people in your life.
Taurus
Your ruling planet, Venus, makes its direct station this weekend, making it abundantly clear what your options are going forward. Anything that you had previously been ignoring can no longer be denied. Like a brush with reality, you are coming to realize that some of your hopes and dreams for the future may need to be reevaluated in a new light. Realize that this may prove to be fortuitous. It may seem at first like a disappointment when you are not able to fulfill that heartfelt wish. But when you look at it more closely and in a clearer light, you may come to realize that although this may have been something you dearly wanted at one time, it may no longer be the case. And in fact, as you let go of your former hopes and wishes, and lay some things to rest, you become that much more aware of new possibilities that you had not been paying all that much attention to. Brushes with reality can sometimes be harsh. But they can also be opportunities to see things for exactly what they are. And that includes what is or is not possible, practical and feasible. And within that context, you can actually make better and clearer, and more achievable goals for the future. This could also be a reminder that we are constantly growing and evolving. As a result, we outgrow certain aspects of our lives. Now it is time for your life to reflect the growth and the changes that you have been experiencing up until now.
Gemini
Any delusions that were being fed during the retrograde phase of Mercury, were doomed to be corrected once Mercury made its direct station last week. If you were looking at things realistically and objectively, your ideas would be merely tested. But those that were not fully thought out would have had their faults revealed by now. All the more so in the light of the Full Moon this coming weekend, which takes no prisoners. This is a Moon that gives us permission to just say No, and to even back down from agreements that prove to be too unfair, or imbalanced. However, even as your ruling planet Mercury leaves the illusory world of Pisces, it then enters the martial sign of Aries later this week. And as it does so it will make a conjunction to Neptune. The first of its kind in our lifetimes. Mercury/Neptune weather can also be rife with delusion. However, also contained within this transit is an opportunity to take some time out from our busy lives in order to reevaluate and reassess our next steps. Ultimately Neptune wants us to live our lives more mindfully and meaningfully. But in order to do that, sometimes we need to retreat into our own thoughts and imaginations, visualizing a more perfect world in which to live. This may be quite different for everyone, but it allows you to more intimately connect with your own hopes and wishes for the future.
Cancer
The Full Moon in Libra on Saturday, as are all full moons, is a time of culmination. This moon could illuminate any conflict or imbalance between your personal life and your more public life and responsibilities. You may become aware of how you may have been neglecting your personal and family needs for the sake of work, or vice versa, in which your personal life is distracting you from your work. Libra is a sign that has to do with balance, and recognizing that both areas of your life are important. If one is outweighing the other at this time, you might want to consider how you can achieve better balance in your life. Full Moons are often emotional, and this one has this added quality of fairness, and looking for more equitable outcomes. Full Moons are also culminations. Things that had been marinating on the back burner, are now coming to some sort of fruition, and cannot be ignored any longer. Due to its recent retrograde, Mars has been spending an inordinate amount of time in your sign. Both last year and this. While Mars has been in Cancer there could be the inclination to want to circle the wagons. To protect and defend everyone in the community or family. Now that Mars is leaving your sign, you will find the defensive facade and that need to be ever so vigilant begin to fall away. There are new realities emerging.
Leo
The two events that most concern Leo this week, is the Full Moon on Saturday in the sign of Libra, and Mars poised to enter your sign at the end of next week. The Full Moon is significant for the fact that it shines a light on the centaur Chiron, exactly conjunct the Sun just hours before the Full Moon. As a result, within the ambit of the Moon, not only is it shining a light on our wounded healer, but is also shining a light on our wounds, sorrows and regrets. With these can also come healing, but not without taking some time out to listen. The answers are there if you seek them out. But in order to hear them, you are going to have to admit that you don’t yet have all the answers and that there is still so much more to learn. In this way the Full Moon in Libra also gives you permission to change your mind about something, just say No, or set better limits. Discussions and conversations can be fraught with emotion. What news are you just learning about? What more do you need to know about something? What you hear, and what you learn this weekend could prove to be illuminating. And then on the 18th, when Mars returns to your sign once again, you will want to don your best and most shining armor. It’s time to take the initiative, and show the world what you are made of.
Virgo
We were all kind of watching our delusions and dreams get shattered this past week. It’s not easy to watch those fantasies get flushed down the river of reality. And we’re not through yet. This weekend, shortly after the Full Moon, Venus will make its direct station while putting the kibosh on any residual delusions we may still be carrying. Actually this is an opportunity. Venus is also giving us permission to say No when it is necessary, set limits with others who may have been taking us for granted, and back out of agreements that simply are not working any more. There’s a certain kind of confidence that goes with knowing what your limits are, and when you need to drop the whole facade. It’s time to be real and draw that line in the sand. Interestingly your ruling planet Mercury enters Aries on Wednesday when it will make an exact conjunction to Neptune. The planet of illusions and fantasies. But this is a little different. Rather than being lost in a delusional world, you are now being asked to withdraw from all that, just take some time off from your busy life, and seek some solace and inner peace, in whichever way that works for you. Turn off the news, read some fantasy, get lost in a movie, go to the museum, immerse yourself in nature. Mercury conjunct Neptune is telling you, you need a break. Take it. Fit it in somewhere somehow. Your mind will appreciate it.
Libra
There is a Full Moon in your sign this Saturday, and will most affect those who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant at or around 23º of Libra (or are born between the 13th and 19th of October). However all Librans will feel themselves basking in the light of the Libra Moon. Something could come to light about yourself that you may not have previously seen or realized. This can be illuminating, and could even change the way you see yourself and the role you play in the world, and in your relationships. This is a time of culmination, showing you the results and ramifications of decisions made in the past. How are you feeling about these decisions? Is this what you intended or expected? And are there any adjustments you might want to make? And in light of people’s reactions to you, the ways they treat you and/or respect you, what is being brought to your attention about yourself through them? Your ruling planet, Venus stations direct on the same day of the Full Moon, allowing you to see your relationships in a more objective light. Like a brush with reality, you may realize that you weren’t necessarily seeing people and their circumstances for what they actually are. But once you are better able to see people and their situations more clearly, there is no more room for denial. This will allow you to make better, fairer and wiser decisions going forward.
Scorpio
This has been a rough month for everyone. But Scorpio has a few aces up their sleeves as Mars creeps up to the top of either your natal or Solar birth chart. There has been a certain amount of gratification from having Mars in your fellow water sign of Cancer. But when your ruling planet Mars enters the sign of Leo at the end of next week, that will be your opportunity to show the world what you have to offer. Mars in Leo is best in show. But in the meantime, until you get there, you might find a certain amount of gratification in joining forces with others to achieve your goals. It reminds you that you are not alone. That there are others who share your perspective. And that together you can not only achieve that much more, but that it inspires you to go even further. Further than you would on your own. But there are also times when you might want to venture out on your own. Especially if you find yourself needing some time out to mull things over, in order to make sense of the previous weeks, and all that has unfolded. You’ve been working on some plans, and soon you will be able to put those plans into application. But in the meantime, use whatever down time you have to engage in meaningful activities, away from the spotlight, and the mad hubbub of life. There will be plenty of that later.
Sagittarius
This coming week could bring a bevy of frustrations to bear as you have all these goals, and plans, and ideas that you want to implement, only to have one thing after another seem to get in the way. You have dreams! What Sagittarian doesn’t? You aim high and hope for the best as you cast your dreams into space. But between a Full Moon that aims to reorient us to reality, and a series of frustrating results, things may be harder than you thought to get those big dreams off the ground. That doesn’t mean they won’t. They may have to be revised and verified for practicality and sustainability, but in the end, if you can’t get things through right away, it just might mean that you are needing to make a few revisions. It could also be that you find yourself immersed in some sort of ethical drama. If you have any doubts about what the right decision should be made, rather than getting lured by the slippery slope of compromise, listen to your conscience and ask yourself… what does it mean to do the right thing? Where does justice and fairness step in here? And what might it mean to stand for something? Something that you would want your children to be proud of you for?
Capricorn
There’s an old Sufi legend in which Allah decided to drive everyone crazy. He changed the water so that whoever drank it would lose their minds. However there was that one person that he liked. So he separated him out and warned him not to drink the water. So he didn’t. But after a couple of days of living amongst a bunch of crazy people, he couldn’t stand it anymore. No one saw things the way he did. Everyone else thought he was the one who was insane! And so he decided to drink the water as well. Just so that he can fit in. But this week and last we were all being served a remedy for the lunacy water. It’s called a dose of reality. And once you have a taste of that, you can’t really go back to becoming part of the lunacy any longer. Once you see something for what it is, there is no un-seeing it any more. You just can’t pretend that the craziness is reality. No matter how lonely and isolating it may feel. It’s like the kid who declared that the Emperor has no clothes. Believe it. Trust your own eyes for seeing, and your ears for hearing. You will make wiser, more adult choices going forward, and will suffer less for it in the end. And someone has to keep their feet on the ground, or we will all be lost.
Aquarius
Sometimes in order to make a new beginning, you have to start with a new ending. The Full Moon in Libra on Saturday can be about achieving some sort of equilibrium and stasis. Libra is a sign of balance and fairness. Therefore if some area of your life has become imbalanced at the expense of another part of your life, this is when it will become most apparent. Oftentimes these are both areas that are important to you. But somehow things have become destabilized. This could be in your relationships. Or perhaps between your personal life and your outer life. If one outweighs the other, or distracts you from fulfilling your obligations, then see what you can do to restore that balance. The Full Moon also gives us permission to just say No, to back out of unfair agreements, and to set better limits with others. Full Moons give us the opportunity to bring things to a grateful conclusion. But it could also afford you the opportunity to make even deeper commitments where commitments need to be made. And with this particular Full Moon there is something to be said for seeing new and better opportunities when we are willing to let go of things that are simply no longer working out. Restore the balance. Let go of that which is not real or working out as expected. And look for new and better opportunities going forward.
Pisces
On Saturday, the same day as the Full Moon, Venus will finally make its direct station. But much like Mercury wandering blindly through your sign, Venus also has been subject to delusion. And so we are all asking ourselves: Who can we trust to rely on in these changeable times? And can we even trust our own hearts and minds? If you can’t trust your own mind, then who can you trust? It’s not unusual in this sort of weather to realize that what you had previously believed to be true, may not be. Not because it has changed, so much as your perceptions of these things have changed. That’s what happens when reality comes to call. It can even be a little harsh. But also within whatever limitations are left over, there are still opportunities to go in a new direction, or make corrections to the path you are currently traveling. This is because, as Venus makes its direct station, it will be closely conjunct Saturn, the planet of stark and unapologetic reality. Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t follow through with your dreams and initiatives. It just means that you are going to have to do so with your feet firmly planted on the ground. No delusions, excuses or denial. And it may even surprise you. For once you peel the rose-colored filters from your eyes, you will then begin to realize new and even better opportunities. Opportunities that are perhaps better grounded in reality.
