Two Lines
drawn in the sands,
drawn in the earth,
parallel each other
to form equality
bend toward
each other, meet
each other to form
an unbroken circle
mirror each other
to better see
that they
are one
reach out to one
another over gulfs,
hemispheres, impasses,
to form a bridge
to a new world
between them.
