The Prince of Cups offers his wisdom as fuel for the next four weeks, and he’s guiding you to explore the transformational Scorpionic and Plutonic energy that’s abundant now. There is deep, passionate emotion here that might not always be expressed openly and so could explode unexpectedly and angrily if not managed wisely.

The water on this card represents the universal collective consciousness and so I really feel that things are going to get heated and rather volatile, particularly among those who are used to suppressing their emotions. There will be a tendency for people to literally let off steam, as shown by the vapor all around the figure on this card. At his worst, this Prince is a ruthless power seeker and an obsessive pursuer of his own selfish needs and dreams regardless of the consequences to anyone or anything else. Secrecy, fear, and corruption are his forte. Does that sound like any high-profile figures and organizations you know of?!

You and I, of course, are being invited to engage instead with the higher frequencies of passion and desire represented in this Prince. This means you need to make sure you stay centred in an open heart and a peaceful mind no matter what’s going on around you so you don’t get overwhelmed by the prevailing shifting moodiness. From this calm and aware space, you can access clear, inspired vision and passion which propels you forward to imagine and create the kind of world you long to live in. A world that encompasses the benefit of all humans, other than humans, and the whole planet.

What can you do to heal the world and humanity right now? Where do you feel inspired to direct your heartfelt longing and create more beauty in the world? What unfairness and injustice most riles you and what is the unique power you have (yes, you do have it) to help redress the balance? Take time to reflect deeply on these questions in the coming weeks and the results could change everything. Your passion and longing, in collaboration with others who feel the same, are necessary to make vital choices now. Choices that will prevent more selfish wounding and transmute it into a mutual collective flourishing. This is the gift of the grail the Prince of Cups holds in his hands. Your light can and needs to blaze brighter then ever now as you discover your particular place in the forming of new earth; don’t miss this opportunity.

As this is a card of deepest water, I’m sensing particularly strong protests around the abuse of our rivers and oceans. Widescale pollution cannot continue, and all over the world local groups are gathering to demand change. We are literally poisoning the source of life. This Prince of Scorpio is no stranger to death and decay, understanding that breakdown and collapse always precedes new life as part of the natural cycle. So, although you may feel some discomfort and be asked to accept some sacrifices in the short term to get to where you want to go personally and collectively, you know that it’s all for the greater and longer term good.

Dream big, care deeply, and engage with change whole-heartedly. You’re heading somewhere wonderful.

This new moon and solar eclipse in Aries, along with a triggering of transformational Pluto in Aquarius, absolutely insists on new beginnings, and the endings that have to precede them. With Pluto in the picture this kind of shift is often dramatic and presents as a crisis, possibly in the arena of science, technology and the Internet. Perhaps you’re being invited to let go of something that is just not living up to its purpose? Uncertainty is rife and you’ll need to re-evaluate, so take the next two weeks to do that carefully without coming to any firm decisions or conclusions until Mercury goes direct again on the 15th. With the full moon and lunar eclipse in Scorpio on the 5th of May, unease and unrest will peak, and you can expect protests around abusive power structures that are harmful to people and the planet. Remember to engage with that Prince of Cups energy to stand strong in your sovereignty! At the same time, there’s a deep emotional pull from many towards compassion and unity, and from 15th May onwards, as mentioned earlier, you’ll have the chance to connect with others and act on this heartfelt desire.
