At present, there are millions of people who log on and off the internet every day. Even most of them are utilizing Wi-Fi networks and also massive percentage of daily activity online now occurs through mobile devices. If you are in a situation where you need to prevent specific people from connecting to your Wi-Fi network and block the users from online access, you can simply block them by using a MAC technique.
Change your password
One of the excellent ways to safely remove the entire devices connected to your Wi-Fi network is to simply modify the password of your router. Usually, changing the password of your router powers the entire devices connected to your router to get disconnected. The one and only way in which they would be able to link to your router once again is by just entering the password of your network. If you are attempting to connect to your Wi-Fi by using your device, but it does not even have the new Wi-Fi password, they would not be able to connect. This is a wonderful way to kick the people off your Wi-Fi and also block the devices from using your Wi-Fi. However, the only downside to this is that if you have more devices linked to your Wi-Fi, you are going to reconnect them entirely will be a pain.
In order to alter the settings of your router, you want to visit a browser and then sign in by using the login details of your router. If you are unsure how to log in, you can simply do a search foryourrouter’s model number and name to identify the manufacturer’s instruction. Once you have registered in successfully, you want to search for a Wi-Fi section in router options. Once you have performed this, you will want to ensure that the WAP is enabled and you will require setting your password. This could be named a vast range of things like password, key, etc. Once you have made the changes, the entire devices connected to your Wi-Fi are blocked and they will not even able to connect until they have a new password. As elongated as you do not obtain this passcode to any individual, people will not be able to utilize your Wi-Fi.
The MAC method
If you need to block the devices connected to your Wi-Fi, you will want to log into your router and also manually block a user, which you would not even need to utilize your Wi-Fi. For those with older routers, manually blocking the devices are using a media access control procedure is possibly a good choice. In order to block the devices, you can simply connect to your Wi-Fi network. Below are simple steps to block the devices that include:
- Open a browser and then type 192.168.1.1 into an address bar
- User a proper admin username and password to log into a router
- Choose an advanced menu
- Choose a Mac network filter
- Select a turn Mac on and deny the systems listed to access a network
- Enter the Mac address that you need to block from linking to your Wi-Fi network
- If you do not know the address, you can always verify the access list for unknown devices and also copy its address in such way
- Choose a save button from settings menu and the entire Mac address entered will be blocked from your Wi-Fi network
Once you have performed this, the Mac address of a device that you blocked must not even be able to access your Wi-Fi. As elongated as you know the Mac address of a device, you can prevent anyone from using your Wi-Fi connection. The down part of using this way to block devices is that you have to understand the back address of a device. However, the one and only way that you are going to obtain their address is by snooping via their phone or by just asking them for their Mac address.
Cloak your Wi-Fi network SSID
This hack usually works well before or after utilizing a Mac method. This would assist you make your Wi-Fi network invisible, so none of the one can link to it in an initial place. To cloak your Wi-Fi network from other devices, you can simply following the steps:
- Initially, you have to log into your router and follow the same directions as given
- Now, choose an option do not broadcast my SSID or an equivalent option
- Choose Wi-Fi frequency and switch to 5GHz and often it needs a password and very much fewer utilized than other frequencies
- Finally, alter a password to your router network
Moreover, covering your SSID means that people who attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi with your device, you will not be able to view the name of your router. When you select not to broadcast your SSID, this stops a router ID from displaying up on the devices of people, so they would not even be able to link to your network. This only works, when you are attempting to block the devices from utilizing your Wi-Fi. But, it does not even work to boost someone off your Wi-Fi, after they have joined.
Whenever you want to block the devices connected to your Wi-Fi, you can simply follow the above methods and keep those other users from tapping your bandwidth. You can utilize these procedures to prevent devices from using your Wi-Fi.
