Beloved friends of light!

As you move and live on planet earth, you face obstacles and issues that challenge you to transcend your perspective to that of your soul.

In truth, you may not realize the necessity for changes in your thoughts until you reach a place of great anxiety and call out for assistance. Before these issues reach a place of affecting your very life each day, let’s explore and understand the condition experienced my many each moment. This is known to you as OCD or obsessive-compulsive disorder.

What is this issue in truth? How does it develop and what are the symptoms of this malady of confusion and chaos of the mind? Breathe deeply and know that there is always an answer to comfort you and offer assistance in a world of your thoughts that have seemed to be unmanageable.

Obsessions begin with a single thought. These thoughts can derive from fear or pleasure. Each moment is different and for one person, a thought emotes fear and the same thought to another will have no feeling at all. Experience and variables form the psyche and subconscious mind. Most people run through life without considering the ramifications of their own created mind.

When a thought construct flows through the mind of someone feeling chaotic and the suggestion is to act in accordance with the thought to prevent harm or consequences, a reaction of matching frequency is enacted. For someone who has been abused, this action could result in cleaning their home and showering incessantly. The behavior allows a calm feeling and the addiction has been formed. The person has developed OCD and the result will bring hours of cleaning and scrubbing as a method of calming the mind.

There are as many addictions possible as the one who thinks them into being! Whether food, shopping, cleaning, organizing or any activity that stops anxiety, know in truth that the possibility is always present for OCD to develop.

In the lives of those with obsessions and compulsions out of control. There can be endless hours of checking electrical outlets, turning in place multiple times before sitting, washing hands one more time, folding clothes or stacking objects to perfection. The reason behind all of these activities is a need to control the pain and anxiety that is present. Once anxiety decreases, the brain releases endorphins and the person becomes programmed to repeat their exhaustive behavior.

There are methods of recovering for those that seek help. Staying present, deep breathing and meditation slows the mind and calms the emotions. Having someone to listen and process the origin of the pain will allow the one suffering to discover their behavior has nothing to do with the cause of the anxiety. They can begin to heal and separate the activity of compulsion with the reason they feel so chaotic.

Without treatment, OCD often progresses to be completely out of control with the sufferer in unending movements of attempting to stop pain with activities. The only true way to erase this pain is to go within and realize the illusion of this incessant activity.

If you have discovered that you or someone you love is suffering with this condition, know in truth that healing is possible. Be wise and know that help is available and that there is nothing to be ashamed about as you are learning to overcome all obstacles. We say, well done beloved one!
