Navigating Life In Our Polarized World

Today I'd like to talk about the conundrum we have navigating life in our polarized world. What we need most is connection and love. A common challenge many of us have is opening our hearts to those outside our trusted circle of people. Continue reading to better understand this dynamic and how we can shift our experience.

Background

As I discussed in last week's newsletter about the spiritual heart, our path forward during chaos and polarity requires a shift in our approach. Our spiritual heart encourages love without condition. This means letting go of fixed ideas our ego has about how others might respond to us when we are real and open up. As you can imagine, our ego wants nothing to do with vulnerability. The ego puts up a wall, and will insist on keeping the wall in place - unless we Divine Changemakers bypass our ego and choose to connect with others in an open and fearless way.

5 Ways To Experience More Love & Connection

FIRST, start with yourself. Engage in mindfulness practices so you can be centered and less reactive to the chaos around you. As part of this, develop increased self-awareness of when you are anxious or fearful. Since these responses drive polarization, consciously choose love instead of fear - whether it's fear of the unknown, fear of differences, or fear of being misunderstood.

SECOND, nurture meaningful relationships. This means spending time with those who uplift and inspire you. Invest in quality over quantity in relationships - making time to deepen those connections through shared experiences.

THIRD, limit exposure to divisive content. Examples: social media, the news, and videos focused on doomsday themes.

FOURTH, tune into your body regularly throughout the day. Wisdom resides there. Your body can let you know when you need rest, a change of scene, or a respite from constant ego chatter focused on how bad things are.

FIFTH, allow for a middle-path approach to all things. This means being open to solutions to all challenges. That includes how you view the chaos and polarization. One way to access this view is to remember that all things and circumstance are temporary. Nothing is permanent. Anything can change at any time!
