Qualities That Only True Spiritual Masters Possess

Qualities That Only True Spiritual Masters Possess

As we embark on a spiritual journey that is unique and individual to each person, our truest (and over time, best) selves are revealed. No two paths are the same and everyone moves at their own pace.

Therefore, it is difficult to discern from the outside where one may be in one's own search and spiritual awakening.

Every person you meet is at some stage of spiritual development (beginning is a stage too), some may be further along than you, and others are just thinking about maybe ever starting. Although each person is different, there are several traits that indicate high spiritual development and can be an inspiring example of what beautiful things await a person as they progress in their development.

If you've met someone interesting and you're not sure if they're a real spiritual teacher or just a spiritual actor, you can also find some pretty good guidance in this article. If your own point or characteristic occurs to you while reading, don't be shy and enrich the discussion here with your observation.

Spiritually developed people are naturally gifted teachers

There are people in the world who seem to have been sent to earth with the task of teaching and leading people. Now I don't mean teaching mathematical equations or correct grammar, although of course even such a job requires a certain talent. These spiritual teachers teach important life lessons, share truths, help other people to learn how to be their own counselors and guides on their own spiritual journey. In some cases, this gift to communicate spiritual truths to the world is very natural. A message from a real spiritual teacher is easy to understand, comprehensible, fits into the big picture, is human and does not play tricks. It's easy to relate to because it's natural.

True Spiritual Teachers Live a Life of True Integrity

One of the biggest failings of our current society is the inability to stand true to our moral principles and beliefs, even when it's hard to do. However, this is not the case with those who have attained spiritual mastery. Such people know that their word counts. They do not bend their backs to be liked and try to live their lives honestly, honestly. If something is not in line with their morals and values, they will walk away from it, they will not participate in it, even if there is some benefit to it. Their hearts and souls guide everything they do in life.

They keep a cool head in the face of life's challenges

With spiritual understanding comes an increased level of emotional intelligence. To develop this quality requires great inner peace and self-understanding. I'm talking about the ability to face intense emotions in a non-reactive, calm, peaceful way. Spiritually developed people don't flare up and scream over trivial bullshit. They do not act impulsively and chaotically in the wake of their uncontrolled emotions. They do not suffer from outbursts of anger, they are not aggressive, and when they are angry, they do not need to hurt the other party with roars or insults. This barbaric behavior is foreign to them.

Instead, they remain calm, able to take responsibility for what they experience and how they react. A spiritually developed person perfectly controls mental hygiene. He chooses his steps wisely. He prepares for challenges, plans and does not take hasty actions.

They have a deep respect for nature

This is a valuable quality that people in today's world are sorely lacking. Spiritual masters understand that everything in the universe is interconnected and that every living being plays an integral role in a much greater whole. Instead of seeing the human population as superior or more important, with everything else given to them for their benefit, they see all living things as equal and worthy of respect. They try to make their love for nature reflected in their lifestyle.

They are the true embodiment of love

These individuals live each day by their heart. Their compassion and empathy is not only directed towards their close friends or loved ones, but towards everyone they meet. They show respect to every being they meet; it is a natural behavior for them. When they walk through the door, they radiate warmth and light that makes other people feel at ease. It's not always easy and they may encounter attempts to abuse their love, but they can't help it, that's just the way they are. They don't play it.

They are completely authentic

Most people avoid their full authenticity because it is also a vulnerability. This is not only about sharing your strengths and successes with the world, but also your mistakes and weaknesses. Spiritually developed people do not try to create a false image or put on a mask of someone they are not in order to hide their true selves from the world. Instead, they realize that they can only grow and develop if they embrace and accept who they are right now.

Only when we accept all sides of ourselves, good and bad, can we take steps to become the best version of ourselves. By denying one's true nature, one prevents oneself from reaching one's full potential, because one does not allow oneself to truly express oneself and thus cannot grow fully.

They don’t waste time condemning

In a world full of slander, gossip, materialism and superficiality, it's hard to understand, but there are people who, when they come into contact with another person, don't care about their appearance, status, or how expensive their clothes and mobile phone are. Spiritually developed people perceive and accept with an open and loving heart the being that stands before them, as it is. This is because they understand that every person comes from a different background, has lived a different story and has different priorities in life. They therefore have no need to apply their ideas of how it should ideally be to others. He doesn't even waste time solving other people and how they should be.

They are not dependent materialists

Spiritual people understand that life is much more than a car, beauty, or a bank account number. In achieving true spiritual enlightenment, they are able to focus their attention on what really matters - their inner self and their happiness. This way of life may seem strange and out of place in today's world. Some people can literally be shocked that a spiritual person doesn't need a new cell phone, doesn't own a TV, doesn't need a new car, takes pictures with a 15-year-old camera, and always carries around his favorite few t-shirts. Spiritual people don't fit into the modern consumer world, they don't go with the trends and yet they don't seem to mind at all.
