How To Overcome Adversity

A popular Western view is that we are in control of our lives and everything that happens to us is the result of our own choices.
In contrast, the popular Eastern view is that we are not in control of the things that happen to us and are nothing more than puppets in a predetermined plan. So, it can be assumed that the truth will be somewhere in the middle of these two opinion systems.
Currently, 65% of our life is controlled by fate and 35% by our conscious choice. However, keep in mind that this is a general example and this proportion may vary from person to person. Moreover, we can overcome the 65% parts of our destiny by using the 35% part of our intentional action to carry out corrective measures and spiritual practice.
What is fate?
According to spiritual teachings, fate is a situation where we have no control over life situations. They are things that sweep outside of our influence and then affect our lives without our being able to influence them in any way.
example: A hurricane forms over the sea and hits human settlements on land. These people are not responsible for the hurricane, but they are hit by it, sometimes killed .
Deliberate action and the possibility of conscious choice is the part of your life that you have control over.
example: A drunk individual has a car in a state of disrepair and decides to drive down a steep mountainside at high speed. If he skidded off the road and down the side of a mountain, whose fault would it be? It is intentional conduct because he could have chosen not to drink and drive, he could have fixed his car and he could have driven slowly.
It would be a completely different situation if a sober driver drove carefully on a mountainside in a well-maintained car and followed all safety precautions. Suddenly a part of the road collapses due to a landslide and he falls down. Or a car rushes out of a bend in the opposite direction and hits him head-on. In this case, the driver in question could not have influenced the resulting landslide or could not have known that a car in the opposite direction would hit him. Therefore, it is a fateful event.
Other examples of fateful situations include: The family background into which you were born. Diseases that you or a member of your family have been dealing with since childhood. The collective and society of people with whom you grow up in the place of your birth.
There are many things that are given from the beginning and that we cannot do anything about. However, we can influence our response to them and we can choose a path to escape from their influence.
Many factors have an influence on evil predestination, they can go back deep into the past, or they can be related to the origin and mission of our soul. As already explained in previous articles, it can be a burden from deceased ancestors, a family curse, the return of a bad deed (every abomination will take revenge on a person in some form), or the way the matrix simply gets rid of people who threaten its order .
If you have a hard fate on your neck, don't blame yourself. But definitely keep your character clean and do spiritual practice to neutralize it.
Fate is spiritual in nature and can only be overcome by spiritual medicine
Depending on the severity of the predestined fate, spiritual practice is required to overcome it. The following table shows us examples of different types of fate and measures to overcome it:
Types of fate
FATE |
Light load |
Medium load |
An extremely difficult fate |
example |
common diseases, the effort required to make a successful marriage requires more effort than usual |
Material problems, financial losses and poverty, inability to have children |
Serious accidents with the risk of death, the impossibility of concluding a marriage despite intensive efforts |
how to overcome it |
moderate intensity spiritual practice |
intensive spiritual practice |
cannot be corrected by spiritual practice alone, it needs help from above and from without |
An intense spiritual life increases a person's energy protection. It brings him blessings and protection from above, brings him stronger spiritual protectors, more intense guidance, and this can balance many fateful problems.
What is Spiritual Practice
Spiritual practice generally means a spiritual way of life, purity of character and good intentions. Man performs work beneficial to humanity and tries to develop his best qualities.
This includes personal development and spiritual development through self-education, self-knowledge, correcting one's personality defects, getting rid of destructive mental patterns, getting to know the forces of nature, working with energy, healing.
Healing can be very helpful and can include many disciplines from herbalism to crystals to music therapy or aromatherapy. Alternative medicine develops spiritual values in a person and contact with nature and conversation with plants cleanses the spirit and soul of a person. Among other things, it also heals the body and protects it from diseases.
Spiritual practice also includes charity of any kind, it can be financial donations to the needy, shelters, help to neighbors, educational activities, volunteer work in the field such as reforestation, cleaning wells, garbage removal, running a rescue station for abandoned or abused animals.
They are generally selfless good deeds. You do good because you feel it inside, you know it's right.
Intensive spiritual practice essentially means that a person lives most of the time with the knowledge that he is not alone in the world, that he needs to help others and together create a better world for everyone. In this pure way of life, he cultivates divine qualities in himself and approaches perfection. Physical actions speak louder than words.
What is not a Spiritual Practice
One who gives money because he thinks he will get something in return is not performing a spiritual act. He who humiliates, condemns, slanders and destroys the life of other people, although he can meditate 10 hours a day, is not spiritual. Whoever donates money with the view of increasing his popularity (donating money to the homeless for a camera mainly so that it will be on YouTube and people can like it) is not performing a spiritual act.
Although spiritual practice can be (and often is) connected to a person's normal work and income, if money is the only motive why the given person does it, it is again not a spiritual practice, but simply the provision of material needs. Attention, as part of your job, you can do a lot of good for people, for society and thus support your spiritual practice, even if the industry you work in is not focused on spiritual development. Do not say that you do not have the opportunity and there is no time. There is always time for a good deed, consideration and helping those in need.
