Aspects, Evolutionary Configurations, and More.

As I’ve told you before, this Full Moon Lunar eclipse is one of “saying goodbye quickly,” so use your sense of balance and perspective to find peace, knowing what to expect through the phenomenal intuitive “dream time” of Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces. Many will find peace in this short-lived eclipse which will only last a month.

This Full Moon fulfills the Virgo New Moon themes, which means we’ve been finding ways of unmasking previous mysteries as we let go of fear and lesser obligations and limits and embrace more important things to do. We’re still going through a “genuine rejuvenation” and life renewal as well as find a deeper connection to Source.

While there’s relatively little friction, we still need to be practical in our material purifications and releases over the next two weeks. Be humble as you are “led out into the world of transcendent activity,” doing a “ritual” which you may not understand but which represents your part in the greater Mystery unfolding at this time. Be willing to bless and be blessed, forgive and be forgiven, as many things leave quickly and flow down the timestream. There is genius and specialization in the air, as well as stability and a deep poignancy.

Evolutionary Configurations

This month we have four evolutionary configurations, two involving Saturn quintile Uranus. This month the configurations are:

1) The Moon is opposed by the Sun, and is part of the “Peace Sign” configuration of the Sun trine Uranus and Pluto in a Grand Earth Trine, with the Moon conjunct Neptune as the anchor point and the focus of the release of the Solar trine energies. This is extraordinarily stabilizing and anchors a practical harmony and/or understanding between the Light, the Awakener, and the Purifier, released through the Moon/Neptune showing we must go our own way at the end of long cycles. Do you own thing in your own way, and allow others the same space at the end of their long cycles.

2) Mercury is opposed Saturn, with Pluto cutting the opposition into a semisquare and sesquisquares, creating three points of an “8 Pointed Star Showing the Need for Right Action.” This brings a certain amount of inner and outer tension based in an awareness of what’s passing, with a need for positivity and discipline of any negative thinking or speaking. Main areas of friction include 1-3 Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio, 14-18 Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius, and 29-30 Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries.

3) Mercury is opposed Saturn, with Uranus cutting the opposition into a quintile and tredecile, creating three points of another “10 Pointed Star of Quintessential Serendipity.” This brings unique gifts and interactive blessings to those with planets near 2-6 Capricorn/Cancer, 8-12 Aquarius/Leo, 14-18 Pisces/Virgo, 20-24 Aries/Libra, and 26-30 Taurus/Scorpio. This also gives us opportunities to generate special qualities and talents these next two weeks as a result of “an new inspiration,” so get away by yourself to receive a new idea of things.

4) Venus is biquintile Saturn and biquintle Uranus, creating three points of a “5 Pointed Star of Quintessential Specialization.” This plugs into the same energies of the above configuration, but it’s more narrowly focused, and brings Venus into the configuration equation. Allow yourself to be transfigured by repairing something on the emotional or social level which needs correcting, balancing, or needs to find some peace.

Major Aspects

Besides the various aspects I gave you related to the evolutionary configurations, forming (or partile separating) inner planet aspects include the Moon triseptile Venus (via Neptune) and biseptile Mars; Mercury is novile Venus, conjunct the Sun, elftile Mars, square Jupiter, opposed Saturn, and sesquisquare Pluto; Venus is tredecile Mars, triseptile Neptune, and square Pluto; and the Sun makes only the aspects in the configuration.

Outer planet aspects include Mars trine Saturn, novile Uranus, trielftile Neptune, and quadranovile Pluto; Jupiter is quindecile Uranus and binovile Neptune; Saturn is quintile Uranus and semisquare Pluto; and Uranus is sextile Neptune and Neptune is in the closest sextile with Pluto in 30 years!

Friction comes from 1 semisquare, 2 squares, and 1 sesquisquare. Semisquares are internal friction at the beginning or end of a cycle, and to me represent the irritating metaphoric “grain of sand” in the oyster of our lives which creates a pearl or awareness.

Squares are integrative, while sesquisquares are interactive, annoying and/or agitating, but not necessarily crisis producing. A quincunx always represents an adjust or sacrifice of some sort. Just remember to decrease aggravation when a frictional aspect is in play.

This month’s aspects: In the series related to destiny and “fate,” we find 1 biseptile and 2 triseptiles. In the 9th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 2 noviles, 1 binovile and 1 quadranovile. In the 11th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 1 bielfile and 1 trielftile. The specializing aspect series provides us with 1 quindecile, 1 quintile, 2 tredeciles, and 2 biquintiles.

For those new to the craft, quintiles and biquintiles are 5th harmonic aspects, septiles and triseptiles are 7th harmonic aspects, noviles are 9th harmonic aspects, deciles (semi-quintiles) and tredeciles are 10th harmonic aspects. The elftile series are 11th harmonic aspects, the quindecile is a 15th harmonic aspect, and the vigintile is a 20th harmonic aspect. Each of these has a unique function in the phase relationship of the two planets in aspect.

The 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th harmonic aspects are specializing and bring forth partially or fully developed quintessential elements of the planets involved. The novile (9th harmonic), septile (7th harmonic) and elftile (11th harmonic) series all feature spiritual aspects. All novile series (9th harmonic) aspects represent entry or exit points of periods of gestation which can bring forth possible spiritual developments. These aspects indicate things which need to be put on the shelf for a while, or that which has been gestating can now move forward. They represent gestative energies that can lead to great spiritual realizations.

Septile series aspects represent forks in the road of destiny, where we make choices determining karmic future developments. This series is ruled by Saturn, where we create and fulfill karma by our choices during those phase shifts. The 11th harmonic elftile series aspects involve situations where there is a need to transcend and master some form of duality by making a leap of faith. In transcending those dualistic situations, dilemmas, challenges, and thinking, we resolve the problem and learn techniques of mastering those sorts of dualities in the future. This series tests our faith. Both the 7th and 11th series involve non-rational aspect values, bringing an element of irrationality in behavior and circumstances.

The various aspects in all these different harmonic series indicate points where the theme of the Whole Cycle becomes clear, whether through major developments or minor refinements in the process. Each aspect shows a phase relationship, specific to the special and unique circumstances of that particular Whole Cycle. It's how we can know when to work, when to play, when to create, when to imagine, when to have faith, and when to mobilize!

The Eclipse Factor

We’ve had a long run of eclipses which continue to affect us. In 2020 we had a Solstice Solar eclipse at 1 Cancer and a December Solar eclipse at 24 Sagittarius. In 2021 we had a June Solar eclipse at 20 Gemini and a December Solar eclipse at 13 Sagittarius. In 2022, we had an April Solar eclipse at 11 Taurus, a May Wesak Festival Lunar eclipse at 26 Scorpio, an October Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio and a November Total Lunar eclipse at 17 Taurus.

In 2023, we had an April Solar eclipse at 30 Aries, a May Wesak Festival Lunar eclipse at 15 Taurus/Scorpio, an October Solar eclipse at 22 Libra, and an October Lunar eclipse at 6 Taurus/Scorpio. This year we just had an April Solar eclipse at 20 Aries, and this Wesak Festival Full Moon at 5 Taurus/Scorpio. As I explained in earlier articles, all the Lunar eclipses work over just a few months, while Solar eclipse effects last for years.

As you know, I see all eclipses as “cosmic recyclers” removing what we no longer need in the houses where they occurred. All these Solar eclipses, along with others, have allowed us to “shed skins” wherever we have 9, 19, and 30 Pisces, 28 Aquarius, 29 Leo, 10 Virgo, and 21 Virgo, as well as the degrees of the recent eclipses at 1 Cancer, 24 Sagittarius, 20 Gemini, 20 and 30 Aries, 22 Libra and 13 Sagittarius. As you can see, that involves a large part of our charts! You can find out which Solar eclipses are still showing effects by referring to Astrology in April 2024 - On The Threshold of a Total Solar Eclipse at 20 Aries which lists which eclipses are done and which are still in play (other parts which followed elaborate on the current eclipse.) That list also has links to the October 2022 Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio, the April 2023 Solar eclipse at 30 Aries, and the October 2023 Solar eclipse at 22 Libra.

A good meditation would be to take a look back at how something related to those points in your chart ended after those eclipses, and examine how new events, new people, and new life experiences came in those chart areas. All our losses of the past few years associated with these signs have left voids which have attracted, are attracting, or will attract life contents more appropriate to who we are now. Alternately, you may be feeling a void because someone else really isn’t there. Now it’s time to turn to what will nourish you.

Element Balance

This Full Moon features a fairly balanced element distribution. At this time, of the traditional 10 planets, there are 4 planets in Water signs, 0 in Fire, 4 in Earth, and 2 in Air. This makes Water (Feelings and Experiencing Life on Deep Levels) and Earth (Practicality and Grounding) preponderant with a strong Air (Relatedness and Communications) presence and no Fire (Inspiration and Light) showing we’ll have to find inspiration from within.

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, it’s slightly more cool than hot. This should favor the exchange of a lot of ideas as well as some great connections to be made.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This begins a new pattern.

For now, as a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience over the next 2 weeks involves beginning activity with a vision, or an understanding, or a communication, and then makes decisions and actions based in those things. While it is tempting to move back into more thinking, communicating, and envisioning, it is more important to move from deciding or acting into feeling what we’re experiencing as a result of those actions and decisions, and bring those feelings to the surface of your consciousness and get clear about what you’re feeling and why.

By naming the feeling or experience, it will naturally lead us back to new information, new vision, new ideals, and new understanding upon which you can do your next set of decisions and actions. Then again name what you’re feeling. That way nothing will get bottled up through underuse, and you can move through experiences with power and clarity. And yes, with Mercury retrograde, don't get too hung up on the past, or the lack of completeness in your understanding. Things may take some interesting twists and turns before it all becomes clear in late August.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Because of its dance with Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto for months to come, Saturn is a major player in creating dynamic change through letting go of the past, finding a new inspiration, and rethinking how we use our will power as we continue to receive what nourishment we need. Saturn is bringing us important Piscean lessons wherever we have mid-Pisces in our charts, and important decisions to planets we have in the middle degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Saturn has led us through a major life renewal since June 2023, so continue to follow that compassionate understanding because we must release all we cannot take into the Saturn in Aries phase beginning next year. Saturn brings maturity and structure to Pisces, and so is teaching us to open to the Grace which comes from forgiveness coupled with gratitude. Let go, let God, and let it flow down the timestream.

Saturn, our “spiritual teacher and spiritual friend” in Pisces brings an ocean of water to our Capricorn/Aquarius sectors and any natal or progressed planets we have in those signs. Though Saturn can accompany heavy lessons, it is the part of us which can take charge of our lives and destiny by using Saturn’s virtues in the right way and time. Our ability to steer our “ship of personality” into our higher destiny brings us new parts to play on the stage of Life.

We’re still in a long wave period of saying goodbye to old roles and embracing newer more effective roles to play in the emergent Aquarian era. We continue to master navigating the fogs and illusions of Pisces, finding understanding, Divine Grace, and spiritual power in forgiveness and steering the process of closing out old ways as they present themselves.

We’ll have Saturn quintile Uranus for many months to come, so enjoy the dance of specialization between what has been and what’s emerging. As Saturn gives us a review of the past at this time, Uranus brings us to a threshold of a major life renewal, with major effects to be found in planets we have near 26-30 Taurus, 8-12 Leo, 20-24 Libra, 2-6 Capricorn, and 14-18 Pisces. Summing it Up

We are now in a time of “saying goodbye quickly” while stabilizing some practical things as we approach the coming Mercury and Mars retrograde periods. Get as much done as you can, stay connected with Source, and honor your deep feelings which connect you to all Beings. This is a time of enhanced “non-local awareness” as we navigate some temporarily calm waters.

High specialization is in the air, as is finding peace in allowing yourself to do your thing in your own way and allowing others to do the same. Do not play to confusion, dread, or uncertainty as you are led through a “mystery ritual” which is showing you a greater part to play in the world. This is a time of culminating some things, finding and maintaining a mental/verbal self-discipline and positive outlook, and awakening to the long term rejuvenation going on.

We’re definitely in the Jupiter in Gemini era as it approaches its retrograde station, so open to new ideas, revolutionary approaches, and seeing new angles of understanding. This month Jupiter provides releases with Mercury, so make sure the vision conforms to the plan, and if it doesn’t, change one and/or the other! This can help us see things from many different points of view, find a sense of humor and perspective, and if necessary imitate to learn and grow.

With so much Pisces, Virgo and Libra, we’re moving out of an old collective mindset as the seeds of the future Aquarian global energies sprout. With Saturn and Neptune in Pisces keep cultivating compassion while letting the past flow down the time stream. Keep deepening your connection with your spiritual Brothers and Sisters.

Since January 1 we’ve begun movement into a new world, and been forced to give up lesser things as a greater life presented itself. With each coming year, we’ll see definite movement away from the ideas which dominated the old 200 year Earth Era and see more of the emergent 200 year Air Era launched at the December 2020 Solstice.

This transitional period requires that we ask ourselves certain questions related to our spiritual purpose, fearless as we are One with the World Soul and walk through the world but are not “of” the world. We have been finding new inner strengths and powers the past four years, and learned the spiritual power of gratitude which brought assistance from Devas and Angels. We’re now in a time of imagining new ways to be who we are while serving a greater good.

Forgiving much with compassion for the generic human condition, we are being released from all which doesn’t serve our momentum into our greater purpose. This is the heart of a global acceleration in transforming those who are part of a greater service and group work. Embrace a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression in grounded ways, so keep your mind and heart open and keep coordinating your body, feelings, and mind to demonstrate a stable and harmonized Soul energy. That's a great part to play as we dance through life's changes!

A Meditation on Light and Shadow

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, and something new is introduced into our lives, it means that something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities. As I’ve offered before “enlightenment” is a verb more than it is a noun.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
