Relaxation Expressed In An Entrance into a Greater Spiritual Life -
This Full Moon is the sixth one since the Great Mutation waveform was activated at the end of March. As we are in the heart of nonstop Mars squares to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn, stay balanced and figure out how to make your life secure against quick and immediate flare ups.
Remember that we had several extraordinarily important long wave conjunctions in January which were set into motion in March. All the conjunction points made by Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in January and March were activated by Mars in March, and its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius set structures into play which will be needed in the 200 era to come beginning with the Great Mutation of December 2020.
That “Great Compression” of planets created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting the houses where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. An ongoing transit boosting those conjunction effects to an extreme degree can be found in Jupiter conjuncting Pluto all year, expanding Plutonic seeds at different points.
Given Jupiter’s retrograde span, for the past 4 months it has opened many futures related to the Capricorn conjunctions of January and March 2020 when it moved in direct motion over those conjunctions, now has gone retrograde over those points, and after it goes direct in September, will move over all of them again. If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published previously.
We are now at the end of the oppositions made by the inner planets to those in Capricorn. The oppositions in square to Mars are still happening, and now we are in a season of Virgo trines to the Cap stellium. In September and October, we’ll also have oppositions by Mercury and the Sun to Mars, so expect many weeks of dealing with “The Tension of Opposites” across many different sign axes. That's why it's important to learn balance now, because that's the exact quality we'll need in September, October, and November!
As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we now can take the energies of the “dawning of a new day” we’ve been experiencing since the New Moon and now can re-focus through a Virgo-Pisces lens. We’ve had opportunities to turn insecurity to strength, creativity, and heart power, and now are in a time of practical adjustment and service.
Saturn continues to be incredibly important in its home sign of Capricorn. It is on the degree of the world Soul, so stay open to your part in the greater life all around you. Just remember that even though it’s no longer in Aquarius, because of where it went stationary retrograde, we’re all still in the midst of a 10 month span of “cosmic visitations galvanizing us to action” which are “liberating us from adverse conditions.”
The Sun in Earth and the Moon in Water shows a time of the mutable Earth (practical experience) of Virgo (precise and efficient refinement of methods) expressing its need for efficient service through the mutable Water (feelings and experiences) of Pisces. At this time, no planets are in the first third of their signs, 5 planets are in the second third of their signs, and 5 planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates no energies in the actional-material field and a “balanced preponderance” between the social/emotional field and the individual, mental, and spiritual field.
Why Are Full Moons So Important?
At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.
That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. As there are three forming oppositions in this Full Moon, it puts the evolutionary “Tension of Opposites” at work wherever we have 24-28 Cancer and Capricorn and 8-21 Virgo and Pisces with a specific focus at 8-12. We’re now in the season of non-stop oppositions, since the inner planets are finishing their opposition to the Capricorn planets, and have begun to oppose Neptune, with oppositions to Mars and Uranus still to come.
Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?
The Sun is in Virgo, making Mercury in its home sign of Virgo its rulers. The Moon in Pisces has its worldly ruler Jupiter in Capricorn, and its spiritual ruler Neptune in Pisces. So Mercury and Saturn share power this month.
Mercury in Virgo rules itself. Venus in Cancer is ruled by the Moon which is ruled by Jupiter and therefore Saturn; Mars in Aries rules itself; Jupiter in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn; Saturn rules itself, Uranus is ruled by Venus and therefor Saturn; Neptune, as usual, is a “standalone” planet, and Pluto in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn.
That means Saturn rules all the planets except Mercury, Mars, and Neptune, making it their “final dispositor.” A final dispositor is a planet in one of its “home signs,” or the signs it rules. We now have at least three final dispositors through January, when Mars enters Taurus, with this month giving us FOUR final dispositors. I gave you an extensive explanation of this time in the recent article Astrology in Summer and Autumn 2020 – A Competition of Final Dispositors
By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 11 Virgo and 11 Pisces. It is said that the second third (decan) of any sign deals with the social, emotional, and cultural levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the second decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Capricorn and Cancer.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.
The Solar degree symbol for the 11th degree of Virgo is "A boy molded in his mother's aspiration for him." In the original Jones class notes Dane Rudhyar published in The Astrology of Personality, he states this degree is about of "conformity to inner light," and "ideals in giving reality or depth to outer material things."
In The Astrological Mandala,, Rudhyar offers this degree symbolizes "The Spirit's answer to the vital needs of whatever became individualized out of its infinite ocean of potentiality." Also, this phase requires us to develop "the power to bring one's dreams and ideals to a clear and sharp focus of mental activity or imagination." He goes on to say this is the power of creative visualization, combining imagination and engineering in forms of "Imagineering." He states this falls in the span of idealization, and is the first degree of the individual, mental, and spiritual level in the scene of Characterization in the act of Stabilization.
Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of immortality as shown in our heredity, or "a succession of tangible achievements and possessions down through a family line." He offers that the Soul is "a matrix of itself" creating our outer life through its ideals, and we come into experience as we respond to "inner and almost irrevocable compulsions." He says the keyword is EXACTION, and when positive, this represents "personal excellence sustained in its own creative consciousness."
So this is a degree of how our Soul creates our dreams and expectations, which in turn create our "offspring." The next two weeks are a time to dream, with precision, how we would want our inherited tendencies to manifest in practical ways. Seek your Inner Light and its ideals and dreams for what It would want to see as reality.
Examine your inherited traits, and draw on the strength of what is inherent in you as a result of your Soul's state of awareness. Be creative in engineering your Soul's dreams or ideals into reality. Here we can find an initial level of mental-spiritual understanding the will ultimately lead us to the heart of a process of discipleship or refinement in our discriminating faculty.
From another angle involving the psychology of parent-child dynamics, there is the slightly troubling element of being preconditioned through "our mother's dreams," a la "Iron John." However, we all have it within us "to remove the key from under our mother's pillow," and use it to free the mighty power of our Soul from the cage of unconscious expectations that were never ours to begin with.
Until we acknowledge that we ARE a Soul eternally free to explore our infinite potential as we move through life experiences, then we will sometimes find ourselves caught in the cages of someone else's dreams. As we free ourselves from the unconscious past, we will discover how to live in the eternal Now.
The Lunar degree symbol for the 11th degree of Pisces is “Men seeking illumination.” According to Rudhyar’s notes from the Marc Jones class, this degree is one of “Introduction of conscious mind to the intuitive soul-realms,” “Self-dedication,” “Self-awakening; or surrender to inner fears.”
In The Astrological Mandala he states this degree is one of “the capacity inherent in every individual to seek at whatever cost entrance to a transcendent realm of reality,” referring to “the ancient and eternal … Path of Discipleship.” He says that we all believe that if we fulfill “the necessary conditions” we can find Spiritual Teachers “who have already attained a higher level of consciousness” through whom we can find enlightenment if we are “pure in heart,” mentally aware, emotionally mature and able, and “spiritually self-mobilized.”
He continues by stating this symbol “opens a new level of consciousness.” This begins a time of self-reinvention, a reaching beyond the known and familiar, but we “have to take the first step.” While someone can always show us the Path, we alone “do the walking.”
He tells us this degree requires that we “walk on.” This symbol is said to be in the Span of Innocence, Act of Capitalization, and the first degree of the Individual-Mental level of the Scene of Federation.
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this degree is about ”the immortality of man as dramatized in some form of an apostolic succession, or a living tradition of spiritual achievement.” He states “the divine spirit is fundamentally a matrix of itself, since its continuance depends on its unswerving maintenance of the purity in motion and expression which it has contributed to the humanity it has created in its own image.”
He continues that our experience is “a manifestation of the potentialities” to which we must devote ourselves in order truly to BE ourselves. He offers us the keyword of DEDICATION, and states that when this degree works positively, it is “high accomplishment in an effective alignment with ultimate reality.” We are told it’s “sustaining, practical, universal, specializing, and spiritual-experimental.”
From these symbols it seems the next two weeks will bring us all the Light of seeing how to engineer what our imagination brings us, expressed in a time of walking on into a new dedication, a new commitment, a new spiritual experience, and a new way of reclaiming our ability to walk toward whatever promises illumination. Here the Light of spiritual divine discernment can be expressed in a form of a greater individual, mental, or spiritual dedication to living a Soul-ful life.
TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption
I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption We continue to have invisible helpers at our disposal giving us "divine help when human efforts seem to fail," as well as inner strength.
*********
At the last World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)
In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,
The Great Invocation
From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on EarthFrom the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to EarthFrom the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serveFrom the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.
See you soon with part 3 covering aspects, planetary sequencing, and other important factors in this Full Moon.
