The next two weeks bring a huge dose of concentrated spiritual energies into our lives as we search for what’s relevant and what’s not.

Show courage in expressing facets of your personality, and regard much of what’s happening these next few months as opportunities to recalibrate, re-vision, or renew the focus of your life. Trust the flow..

This Full Moon fulfills the Pisces New Moon themes, which means we’ve been getting clear about tactile awareness and the need to hold the silent spaces as we discover new ways “to touch and be touched.” As this begins our Aries focus for the year, sometimes when in doubt “just do it” and leave behind whatever needs to be blessed to leave. This is a time to show courage in focusing will power as we “lift ourselves to surer foundations.”

This period again shows us why last year we learned the old answers and old approaches just won’t work any more. See what’s relevant to you in the midst of being accelerated in evolution by Pluto. We are all “being galvanized to action” by a “cosmic visitation” which will “liberate us from adverse conditions.” The way to get a grip on things is through the Moon in Libra which offers opportunities to take a new look at the ideal we’re chasing.

Evolutionary Configurations

This month we have two evolutionary configurations, 1 of which involves the Lunation and Uranus, and the other which involves Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto. We continue to be in a period of non-Lunar oppositions until early July when Mercury opposes Pluto. This month the configurations are (in no particular order of importance):

1) The Sun/Moon opposition is cut into a semisquare and sesquisquare by Uranus, generating three points of an octile based “8 Pointed Star of the Need for Right Action.” This will provide frictional impetus to our affairs these next 4+ months as things impeding our ability to follow our heart’s desire fall away, either because those are not relevant or we’re not clear enough in our intention. Primary areas under pressure are around 4-8 degrees of the Cardinal signs, and 19-23 degrees of the Fixed signs.

2) Mercury is novile Saturn and binovile Pluto with Saturn novile Pluto, activating three points of a “9 Pointed Star of Revelation.” These aspects create a gestational energy with revelations after a period of waiting, or revelations to come after a period of gestation. Zones most affected are around 1-5 degrees of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, 11-15 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer, and 21-25 degrees of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. If you have something in these zones, prepare to move through spiritual realizations related to Mercury and Saturn with Pluto lurking in the distance.

A special note should be given to Mercury septile Mars, Jupiter biseptile Pluto, and Uranus septile Neptune. These three aspects all indicate “forks in the road of destiny” where these fall. As you can see, this involves the rulers of Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces and all three transpersonal planets across Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, and Taurus, so wherever the Bundle falls in our charts will be the life areas of intense choices and changes.

Major Aspects

Besides the various aspects I gave you related to the evolutionary configurations, forming (or partile separating) inner planet aspects include the Moon pentelftile Venus and biquintile Mars; Mercury is decile Venus; Venus is vigintile the Sun, sextile Jupiter and Uranus, conjunct Neptune and semisquare Pluto; and the Sun is elftile Mars and novile Jupiter.

Outer planet aspects include Mars quintile Jupiter, conjunct Saturn, binovile Uranus, quindecile Neptune, and semisextile Pluto; Jupiter is conjunct Uranus; Saturn is novile Pluto, and Uranus is again septile Neptune and tredecile Pluto.

Friction comes from 2 semisquares, and 1 sesquisquare. Semisquares are internal friction at the beginning or end of a cycle, and to me represent the irritating metaphoric “grain of sand” in the oyster of our lives which creates a pearl or awareness. The sesquisquare is interactive, agitating, and requires an external healthy response.

This month features a lot of spiritual aspects. In the series related to destiny and “fate,” we find 2 septiles and 1 biseptile. In the 9th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 3 noviles and 2 binoviles. In the 11th harmonic series related to spiritual realizations, we have 1 elftile and 1 pentelftile. The specializing aspect series provides us all 6 aspects in the series, with 1 vigintile, 1 quindecile, 1 decile, 1 quintile, 1 tredecile, and 1 biquintile.

For those new to the craft, quintiles and biquintiles are 5th harmonic aspects, septiles and triseptiles are 7th harmonic aspects, noviles are 9th harmonic aspects, deciles (semi-quintiles) and tredeciles are 10th harmonic aspects. The elftile series are 11th harmonic aspects, the quindecile is a 15th harmonic aspect, and the vigintile is a 20th harmonic aspect. Each of these has a unique function in the phase relationship of the two planets in aspect.

The 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th harmonic aspects are specializing and bring forth partially or fully developed quintessential elements of the planets involved. The novile (9th harmonic), septile (7th harmonic) and elftile (11th harmonic) series all feature spiritual aspects. All novile series (9th harmonic) aspects represent entry or exit points of periods of gestation which can bring forth possible spiritual developments. These aspects indicate things which need to be put on the shelf for a while, or that which has been gestating can now move forward. They represent gestative energies that can lead to great spiritual realizations.

Septile series aspects represent forks in the road of destiny, where we make choices determining karmic future developments. This series is ruled by Saturn, where we create and fulfill karma by our choices during those phase shifts. The 11th harmonic elftile series aspects involve situations where there is a need to transcend and master some form of duality by making a leap of faith. In transcending those dualistic situations, dilemmas, challenges, and thinking, we resolve the problem and learn techniques of mastering those sorts of dualities in the future. This series tests our faith. Both the 7th and 11th series involve non-rational aspect values, bringing an element of irrationality in behavior and circumstances.

The various aspects in all these different harmonic series indicate points where the theme of the Whole Cycle becomes clear, whether through major developments or minor refinements in the process. Each aspect shows a phase relationship, specific to the special and unique circumstances of that particular Whole Cycle. It's how we can know when to work, when to play, when to create, when to imagine, when to have faith, and when to mobilize!

The Eclipse Factor

We’ve had a long run of eclipses which continue to affect us. In 2020 we had a Solstice Solar eclipse at 1 Cancer and a December Solar eclipse at 24 Sagittarius. In 2021 we had a June Solar eclipse at 20 Gemini and a Solar eclipse at 13 Sagittarius. In 2022, we had an April Solar eclipse at 11 Taurus and the May Wesak Festival Lunar eclipse at 26 Scorpio. We then had the October Partial Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio and then the November Total Lunar eclipse at 17 Taurus. As I explained in earlier articles, all the Lunar eclipses work over just a few months, while Solar eclipse effects last for years.

As you know, I see all eclipses as “cosmic recyclers” removing what we no longer need in the houses where they occurred. The June 2020 Solstice Solar eclipse in Cancer marked a change of allegiance for everyone, with hard adjustments and sacrifices for all, while the December 2020 Solar eclipse in Sagittarius has been removing all which would block our happiness. The June 2021 Gemini eclipse is removing old ideas, while the Dec 2021 Sag eclipse is removing blocks to our seeing a new identity.

All these Solar eclipses, along with others, have allowed us to “shed skins” wherever we have 9, 19, and 30 Pisces, 28 Aquarius, 29 Leo, 10 Virgo, and 21 Virgo, as well as the degrees of the recent eclipses at 1 Cancer, 24 Sagittarius, 20 Gemini and 13 Sagittarius. As you can see, that involves a large part of our charts! You can find out which Solar eclipses are still showing effects by referring to Astrology in March 2024 - On The Threshold of a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse at 6 Libra-Aries which lists which eclipses are done and which are still in play (parts 1, 2, and 3 which followed elaborate on the current eclipse.) That list also has links to the October 2022 Solar eclipse at 2 Scorpio, the April 2023 Solar eclipse at 30 Aries, and the October 2023 Solar eclipse at 22 Libra.

A good meditation would be to take a look back at how something related to those points in your chart ended after those eclipses, and examine how new events, new people, and new life experiences came in those chart areas. All our losses of the past few years associated with these signs have left voids which have attracted, are attracting, or will attract life contents more appropriate to who we are now. Alternately, you may be feeling a void because someone else really isn’t there. Now it’s time to turn to what will nourish you.

Element Balance

This Full Moon eclipse features a fairly balanced element distribution with an emphasis on Water. At this time, of the traditional 10 planets, there are 4 planets in Water signs, 2 in Fire, 2 in Earth, and 2 in Air. This makes Water (Feelings and Experiencing Life on Deep Levels) preponderant, with a balance between Earth (Practicality and Grounding), Air (Relatedness and Communications) and Fire (Inspiration and Light).

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, it’s slightly hotter than cool and the emphasis on Water may create steam for power or fogs of confusion, depending on how we respond to the Pisces energies which dominate the current landscape.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. This begins a new pattern. For now, as a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience over the next four weeks involves feeling our way into decisions and actions. After we decide and/or act, it will be important to get new information to come to a new vision or understanding. Once we get the right view or understanding, then a new feeling-experience will naturally arise that points the way to the next action.

So over the next 4 weeks we’ll still be leading with our feelings, then making decisions on the basis of those feeling experiences, followed by new information, new ideas, new interpretations, and new views. We’ll be “feeling our way” into new experiences, then deciding and acting on the basis of those feelings. After a decision or action, then we’ll have to find newer, more up to date information, facts, and understanding so we can get a new vision.

So learn and teach through anecdotes, seeing how others handled things practically, or how you handed things practically in the past. Let your thinking and communicating and envisioning follow your actions, and let your feelings follow a new understanding, a new perception, or a new view.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

While Saturn is temporarily relegated to a background influence, ruling only Pluto and being ruled by the Mutual Reception between Venus and Jupiter, it’s still a powerful teacher wherever we have mid-Pisces in our charts, and bringing important decisions to planets we have in the middle degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Since Saturn went direct, we’ve moved into deeper waters of seeing life as a marketplace for doing trade-offs and demonstrating fairness and honesty. With Saturn a part of the novile series configuration with Mercury and Pluto, the concentrated doses of spiritual energy promised by Mercury will give us help and protection as we courageously move into the challenges and rewards of 2024!

Saturn has led us through a major life renewal since June 2023, so continue to follow that renewed energy in the future even as many things again fall away in our Aries and Libra sectors. And as Saturn in Pisces brings structure to that energy, continue to open to the Grace which comes from forgiveness coupled with gratitude. Let go, let God, and let it flow down the timestream.

Saturn, our “spiritual teacher and spiritual friend” in Pisces brings an ocean of water to how we express our Capricorn and Aquarius sectors and any natal or progressed planets we have in those signs. Though Saturn can feel heavy and bring heavy life lessons, it also in the part of us which can take charge of our lives and destiny by using Saturn’s virtues in the right way and time. Our ability to steer our “ship of personality” into its rightful “role of destiny” has brought us to the threshold of new parts to play on the stage of Life.

We’re still in a long wave period of embracing our “mature role to play” in the emergent Aquarian era. Uranus awakened us to new roles while Saturn has “lightened up” and structured our Aquarius sector. Having brought us an accelerated evolution and tests of “picking up and delivering spiritual power” we now are mastering the fogs and illusions of Pisces, finding understanding, Divine Grace, and spiritual power in forgiveness and steering the process of closing out old ways as they present themselves.

Summing it Up

We are at the end of many months of endings, shifts in field and focus, transitions, and saying goodbye to many old things, people, and ways of living. We’ve also been in a time of embracing the rapidly developing forward movement requiring clear vision, compassion as we let things flow down the time stream, and deeper communion with our spiritual Brothers and Sisters. Since January 1 we’ve begun movement into a new world, and been forced to give up lesser things as a greater life presented itself. We’re now entering new work, new focus, new friendships, and new ways of using spiritual power.

The future is on the move, and now is the time to accept the harvests of the old year cycle along with the new responsibilities and new dedications which have come with the mastery we’ve attained since last Summer. We’re seeing where the past meets the future, and this Lunation will help us recalibrate our vision of who we are and what we want to show to the world.

Because of the 2023 Solar eclipse in Libra, we’re in a time of seeing who or what needs nourishment and finding ways to offer it to them, or conversely, we may need to let those forms go in order to know new things to nourish. With each coming year, we’ll see definite movement away from the ideas which dominated the old 200 year Earth Era and see more of the emergent 200 year Air Era launched at the December 2020 Solstice.

This transitional period requires that we ask ourselves certain questions related to our spiritual purpose, fearless as we are One with the World Soul and walk through the world but are not “of” the world. We have been navigating humanity’s “liberating ordeal” while finding new inner strengths and powers the past three years, as well as needing to show gratitude for assistance from Devas and Angels who have brought us “divine help when human efforts seem to fail.” We’re now in a time of getting over our preconceptions.

In recent years we found a “fellowship of spiritual Sisters and Brothers” on a “Spiritual Mountaintop.” Just remember that attaining the mountaintop only requires a) that we enjoy the view and accomplishment, and b) the awareness of when to begin the careful descent, since we don’t want to get caught on a mountaintop when lighting clouds are blowing in!

Forgiving much with compassion for the generic human condition, we are being released from all which doesn’t serve our momentum into our greater purpose. This is the heart of a global acceleration in transforming those who are part of a greater service and group work. Embrace a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression in grounded ways, so keep your mind and heart open and keep coordinating your body, feelings, and mind to demonstrate a stable and harmonized Soul energy. That's a great part to play as we dance through life's changes!

A Meditation on Light and Shadow

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, and something new is introduced into our lives, it means that something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities. As I’ve offered before “enlightenment” is a verb more than it is a noun.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
