Every Crisis Holds a Priceless Gift for You Inside

I don’t know about you, but I would do just about anything to avoid a crisis if I could.
Fortunately, since learning about the Law of Attraction, I’ve experienced fewer and fewer crises in my life. Focusing on the positive and becoming more consciously aware has allowed me to experience far less chaos and destruction in my life. Life has most definitely become easier.
However, this hasn’t made me immune to crises. I am human, after all, and being “perfectly positive” is a completely unrealistic goal.
We get what we focus on. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we focus on complete crap and let it run amuck in our experience.
No worries about this though. A journey with peaks and valleys is a far greater adventure than one with nothing but endless smooth sailing.
Uncovering limitations
As I’ve grown with the Law of Attraction I’ve learned about many self-imposed limitations I’ve placed on myself. Though I’ve transformed many limiting beliefs, I’m still growing into the idea of being infinitely free, loved and powerful.
I’m still peeling back the layers of the onion, so to speak.
This is true of all of us, isn’t it?
After all, if we had all fully eliminated our negative belief structures, the world would be a very different place. At a minimum, I’d imagine a world without perceived limitations would be free of anger, hate and violence.
In truth, we’re all still here on planet Earth, and we’re all still in the process of learning how to transcend the limitations of this physical life. This is why we still experience crisis-we’re still growing into full awareness that we are actually powerful, infinite creators.
Crisis is always a sign that we have allowed a limitation to take root in our lives. Crisis occurs when a chronic pattern of thought has grown to a point that it no longer can be ignored. In a state of crisis, we fully manifest one (or more) of our biggest fears or worries into our experience.
Sometimes we choose to learn the hard way
This past weekend, I dealt with a significant crisis in my life. I won’t elaborate too much on the details, as it’s a sensitive issue that affects a number of people. Everyone is safe, thankfully, but I don’t think life will ever be the same for me again.
What I will say is that I can clearly see how this crisis was the manifestation of a toxic limiting belief structure I’ve been carrying most of my life. I’ve known about this belief structure for years, but I’ve always accepted it as a true and inescapable part of my reality.
So throughout the years, I’ve done my best to shove it in the closet when it’s popped up and made its presence known. “Just keep swimming,” I’ve told myself, “things are always going to be that way so you might as well just make peace with it.”
You can pretend a limiting belief isn’t that big of a deal all you want, but it will only get bigger and bigger the longer you carry it. That’s just the nature of the Law of Attraction: we’re always getting more of what we believe, be it positive or negative.
So last weekend, something happened that made it impossible for me to ignore this limitation anymore. I manifested a horrible, sad experience that showed me (quite painfully) how my belief had made me a prisoner in my own life. The disappointment I felt in myself plunged me down into the darkness for days.
Finding clarity in the rubble
So this week, I’ve been recirculating old articles on my blog, and this is the first I’ve written since last week. I wanted to wait to write until I felt ready to step back into my power.
After all, this website is a place where people come to find inspiration and clarity. This is not a blog about wallowing in your problems, or about being a victim of your experience.
This is a blog about aligning with what you really are. It’s a blog about taking responsibility for your life in order to experience it in a way you can appreciate and love fully.
I usually bounce back from setbacks pretty quickly but this one knocked me down hard. It took me the better part of a week to find my inspiration in this crisis. However, now that I’ve discovered it I want to share it with you.
The positive message I’d like to share today? Every crisis holds a priceless gift for you, if you’re willing to accept it.
Sometimes, a crisis is exactly what you need
We spend a lot of effort trying to avoid crises. Serious effort is taken to protect ourselves against losses.
We try to avoid losing our friends, family, jobs, money, reputations, homes and health. However, it is in those extreme moments of loss where we can actually gain the most.
This is because a crisis is always a wake-up call. A crisis always contains within it such extreme and profound loss that it forces you to re-evaluate how you are navigating your life. It makes you confront your choices, beliefs and actions and ask yourself the most important question: is this the way I want to live my life?
I have learned something very important about my belief structures this week, and I’ve learned something about what I really want from my life. Even better, because of the severity of the crisis, I no longer believe that I must accept my limitation as inescapable.
I see clearly that I have the power to choose something else. I can’t tell you how liberating it is to really know for the first time that the power is in my hands when it comes to this issue.
I thank the universe for delivering this gift to me. I didn’t want to live my life with this limitation forever. Without this crisis, I might have wasted my entire life manifesting more garbage as a result of this toxic belief structure.
The glass can always be half-full
So, my friends, if you ever find yourself dealing with a crisis, remember to take heart. There IS good inside of your crisis, because it will teach you something about yourself you’ve likely been hiding from. Let your crisis show you how to make positive changes in your life. Let it show you how to make the most of your time here on this planet.
Crises aren’t pleasant, and they certainly aren’t wanted. However, when we choose to listen to what they are here to teach us, they are always the start of something new and beautiful. After all, it is in experiencing what we don’t want that we learn very clearly what we actually do want.
In the future weeks I look forward to sharing insights from this new perspective with you. Thanks, as always, for being a positive supporter of my blog and for co-creating higher levels of consciousness and positive energy in the world.
It is my belief that being connected to such a strong, positive community made it possible for me to uncover the gift within this crisis. I’m very thankful and grateful for your positive contributions to the collective. Your quest to align with your highest self helps us all reach for new heights of awareness, empowerment and love.
XO, Andrea
