Tomorrow, September 23 at 5:04 am PDT, Mercury retrogrades back into Virgo just after its Inferior Conjunction with the Sun a few hours ago at 1 Libra, the Transfiguration degree.

This marks the beginning of Mercury’s direct station in late Virgo trine Pluto, helping us all get valuable information which can help us see to the core of any matter. It was last in this span between August 21-26, so this is our second pass over that part of the zodiac dealing with education on the individual spiritual level. The third pass will happen in early October after Mercury goes stationary direct at 25 Virgo on October 2.

It also means that the ruler of our Gemini and Virgo houses and planets is again in its home sign, moving from the Cardinal Air of Libra to the Mutable Earth of Virgo. This is a great chance to take a new look at the structure of things, clean out old ideas which are no longer relevant, and turn toward new roles to play and new archetypes to fulfill.

The good news is that now that Mercury is back in Virgo, it’s conjunct Venus, bringing all manner of direct understanding in relationships to the forefront, and helping us figure out where things stand at the core. Besides this re-entry of Mercury into Virgo, we’re still in the heart of the Saturn square Uranus putting pressure on us all. This is part of the upheaval those with planets near 1-5 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, as well as 16-20 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius are feeling. Again, ask yourself what’s pertinent and what isn’t, and disregard the lesser when greater things are at stake. And remember you cannot take responsibility for the actions of another. Each gets their own ticket to ride, and each chooses how they will respond to those interactions.
