(10th House) This week your ruling planet Mercury, now in Pisces is dancing with the faeries as well as the fates, who are silently weaving your destiny from behind the scenes even as you are taking center stage with the New Moon next week. For most people the New Moon in Pisces is usually a time for serenity and withdrawal from the world. Not for Gemini. This is when you dream your dreams and aim to make them manifest. But it can also be when you are most challenged to make your dreams a closer reality. There are a lot of conflicting messages weaving their way through the tapestry that the fates are working on, and even as they aim to have you fulfill some vision for the future, there are a few potential mis-steps along the way. In this case a wait and see attitude may be necessary, before you get a full feel for the landscape, which is currently feeling like things are shifting. Mercury also enters the shadow before its retrograde right after the New Moon, bringing something of a shift in the atmosphere. This could compel you to reframe some of your goals for the future. (9th House) At the New Moon in Pisces we are all asking ourselves what our vision for the future may be, and how to make it manifest. But this can be all the more so for Cancer who lives in the world of the imagination. Normally one would think of the imagination as being vast and unbounded and filled with potential, and that can certainly be true with this New Moon. However, sometimes that boundlessness can be overwhelming, and even a bit scary. Like almost too much is possible. On February 23rd, Mars makes its direct station in your sign bringing a sense of urgency regarding the need to circle the wagons, in order to protect and defend the things that matter most to you. Growth is one thing, overstepping boundaries is another.  And so as Mars stations this week it is trying to channel some of that overgrowth, and some of the boundless energy contained within the New Moon as well as the station, so that it can be used in a more effective manner. It has become apparent that the energy needs to be guided in order to prevent it from deescalating into chaos. Mars has been trying to urge you to set some realizable goals as it stations. Now use the New Moon to further inspire you to broaden your horizons in a positive way, and in the direction that you want them to go. In this way this Moon is capable of opening you up to all sorts of possibilities. In a safe way. Leo

(8th House) With the New Moon in Pisces next week, Leo is being asked to consider the ways that you may have become overextended, overtaxed, and perhaps even overwhelmed. In order to balance the books again and reach some sort of equanimity in your own life, it might help to focus in on those things that are truly most important to you in your heart of hearts. And if you were to pause and consider this question it may not be what you had previous thought. This may require some deep consideration and reflection. The sign of Pisces can be both emotional and profound. And each year with the New Moon in this sign, Leo is being asked to search for deeper meaning. This year it is a little more invested, because it is trying to do nothing less than bring you into alignment with your true destiny. Endings and beginnings are interwoven with this New Moon, moving beyond old fears, any old wounds, resentments and obstacles, and seeking healing and renewal. Virgo

(7th House) The New moon in Pisces is often a time for Virgo to make commitments and promises to others, to renew their vows, to further invest int their most important relationships. This year with an abundance of planets in the sign of Pisces, including your ruling planet Mercury, it could feel as if the fates were orchestrating some sort of grand tableau, drawing some people into your life, while releasing others. Pay attention to the people who are in your life this week. As well as those who are not. We will address this theme again with the Lunar Eclipse in March, but for now, know that the New Moon is about new beginnings, where we decide who we are, or are not, going to be investing in going forward. Mercury begins this week by taking a cue from stationing Mars who is resorting out of the fugue of a 3 month retrograde. Life is taking on a new tone. A conjunction to Saturn could be about deepening promises and oaths to others, but could also be giving you permission to say No More. Finally at the New Moon, Mercury first takes a nod to Uranus before crossing the North Node of the Moon, reminding you of who you have and what you have in your life, and to never take these for granted. Between the New Moon and Mercury in Pisces, you are being opened up to a radical new way of being. Libra

(6th House) The New Moon in Pisces is a time of year in which Libra will want to make some sort of renewed commitment to either their own health and well-being, the well-being of others in your care, your job, or your daily routines, or maybe a combination thereof. For Libra, Pisces is a sign of self-improvement as well as well-being. And doing the things of Pisces aims to support that notion. That can include doing things like taking time out of your busy day to simply be, to reflect, to connect with spirit in whichever way feels comfortable for you. Or to pause to dream, and/or get lost in the imagination. Significantly, right after the New Moon, your ruling planet Venus will enter the pre-shadow period before its retrograde where you will find your attention turning within, as you consider some of the commitments and obligations currently sitting on your shoulders, and how best to handle them. This can include finding new and better ways to decrease stress, regain your center, and connect with yourself. This could also require you to let some things go, in order to prioritize those things that really matter. Therefore tweak and revise that schedule, create more sustainable and health-supporting routines, and the sort of life and lifestyle that you know you can live with. Scorpio

(5th House) On Sunday your ruling planet, Mars, will make its direct station, and in doing so help to connect you to your primal Why: why you do the things you do, what eggs you on, what gets you up in the morning, what gives you the courage and momentum to fight the good fight. During the 3-month retrograde phase Mars was pausing to recharge your batteries, but was also connecting you to your passions… what drives you. Over the past few weeks, and going forward it has been and continues to channel that energy in a constructive way that also renews that commitment to that which drives you. The New Moon on the 27th is the icing on the cake. This is about making a commitment to that which stirs your loins, gets the creative juices flowing, and brings you the courage to take on even the most daunting of challenges. This week make a commitment with the New Moon in Pisces to be inspired, to be motivated, to invest in yourself, and to welcome joy back into your life. Things you might want to focus on: feeling comfort with yourself and your own style; not feeling like you have to conform to the standards of others; and connecting with those people and things that make you feel proud of yourself. Sagittarius

(4th House) The New Moon in Pisces is usually a time each year to pay attention to those things that are closely related to home and family and supports building community. One thing that has been important to Sagittarius these past several years is the idea of making these fundamental areas of your life a stronger and more reliable foundation, which you can continue to rely on for years to come. So it is particularly important this year in light of the fact that just before the New Moon in Pisces, in this critical area of your life, the planet Mars stations direct in the sign of Cancer, the sign of home, family and community. For the 3 months of its retrograde phase Mars has been tuning us into these very important foundations of our lives, and stressing why these are so important to us, on an even deeper level. One that has to do with our very survival. It is noted that when these fundamental areas of our life are strong, we are better able to withstand even the most daunting of challenges. In some way this was being brought home, and is now being imbued with a sense of renewal and appreciation. (3rd House) The New Moon in Pisces is serving as an inspiration for where you are needing to focus your attention for the coming month. New Moons are times of new beginnings, renewal and further commitment. However this New Moon may be filled with such a sense of distraction, you may not know what you want to focus on first. Do begin by following your curiosity, but also give yourself permission to say No when you need to. Over-commitment, over-extension will leave you scattered and confused, and unable to do anything well as a result. Use the New Moon to narrow it down. Focus in on that which most stirs your curiosity, which feels most important right now, and begin there. Many of us have been feeling like we have just been inundated by a tidal wave of information all at once. But at the New Moon in Pisces, instead of putting your focus on the outer world, take that focus and place it within. Focus on what really matters. Do become more informed. But do so in a particular area in which you want to become something of an expert. What story do you want to tell? What is it that you want to say? And how do you want to say it? (2nd House) As Mars makes its direct station this Sunday, it does so with a trine to your ruling planet, Saturn, which dares to channel some of that simmering motivation into something useful. Something that can serve as a foundation for years to come. A goal. A passion. Something that gives you a sense of direction. Something that allows you to use your skills your talents to the best of their ability. Then you add on the New Moon in Pisces on the 27th, and you can use all that motivation and focus to not only set goals, but figure out ways to afford them, to achieve them. Perhaps create a step by step financial plan. Perhaps looking for more feasible ways to make your life safer, more secure, more sustainable, and self-sufficient. The New Moon in Pisces is trying to inspire you in a certain direction. Right now there are so many distractions getting in the way. See if you can get your eye back on the ball. Do be open to alternatives, but don’t lose sight of the end goal. (1st House) The New Moon in Pisces each year is a time for your own personal self-renewal and perhaps even something of a rebirth. This year we have an abundance of planets in your sign along with the Sun and Moon. Falling at 9º of Pisces, this Moon will resonate most strongly with those Pisceans born between the 24th of February and the 2nd of March, or who have 6-12º of Pisces rising, but all of Pisces will be resonating with this Moon. This year, the New Moon is preceded by the direct station of Mars which is aiming to get us re-motivated and back on track with our lives and our destinies. New Moons are about new beginnings, and this Moon is asking you to sow seeds of hope and inspiration for the future. If you have made some new beginning in the recent few years, you might begin to think of ways of making that new beginning more sustainable, and more practically achievable this year.
