New Moons are about new beginnings, and a little inspiration can go a long way with the New Moon in Leo on Sunday. For Aries, Leo is a sign of personal and creative self-expression. It is a sign that inspires us to: create something (anything!); to invent, express yourself, flirt, dance and rediscover in your heart of hearts what it means to feel joy. (1st House) The New Moon in Leo is when we celebrate your season, and is like the commencement of your own personal New Year. What are those experiences that fill you with joy? And in what ways are you able to share these with the world at large? And then take that power and use it to be an inspiration and a light for all to see. The New Moon in your own sign is where we begin each year. Therefore make the intention to begin on the right foot, cultivating those things that you most resonate with and will want more of throughout the year ahead. On August 16th, Mercury will retrograde back to Leo once again. Use the retrograde phase of Mercury from there on to further realize those things that make your heart sing, and fill your heart with passion. Virgo

(12th House) On August 5th, your ruling planet Mercury will station for its retrograde phase in its own sign of Virgo. This is a powerful placements for Mercury, and because it stations so closely to the New Moon, it will be a significant influence on you (and all of us!) over the month ahead. Then on August 16th it will return to the 12th House to tie up some loose ends. The 12th House is also where the New Moon falls for Virgo in the sign of Leo. Usually when we think of the 12th house we think of those things that we need to finish, perhaps once and for all. It is a time of endings and completion. But it is also where we go to connect with our own spiritual center.
