For the New Moon in Aries for your Sun sign or Rising sign (or natal house if you know it):
Aries
(1st House) There are an abundance of planets in your sign on the day of the New Moon, which is also the Aries Equinox. Those Aries born on the first few days, or have the first few degrees of Aries rising, will know this well. This New Moon day on the first day of Spring/Autumn is truly a first day for you in so many ways. Aries weather is dynamic, positive, and forward looking. All the more so with the New Moon in the very first degree of the sign. This is Aries shouting to the world, “I am here, take notice.” In fact, for many of these early Aries natives, it could even feel like something of a rebirth, filled with the essence of renewal. But with a twist. Because this renewal is on your own terms. This New Moon can be something of a catalyst for this rebirth and renewal. For this is nothing less than the natural evolution of something that has been already been gradually germinating, growing and evolving internally. Now it is being given new life. If you have been thinking about initiating any positive changes in your life, this would be a good time to consider it, as it will probably be easier to do so now, than it would be later on. This day truly is the first day of the rest of your life, therefore make it your own.
Taurus
(12th House) You may wonder why you are feeling so positive, hopeful and inspired with the New Moon on the Aries Equinox. It’s as if you are being relieved, cleansed and purified all at the same time. This is an excellent time for crystal work, or to clear out all the inner channels that may have become clouded over or congested. Make room for new seeds of inspiration and motivation to take root and grow. One way to help facilitate the process is by tackling any Spring cleaning projects, or if you live down under, preparing for the Winter months ahead by getting your provisions and environment in order. By removing the excess and clutter in your outer life, you are symbolically clearing out the excess and clutter within, and releasing it out into the universe to be recycled from whence it came. Your ruling planet, Venus, has come home to your sign to roost, to plant seeds of inspiration, and to see them flourish. And one way for that to happen is to make room for these new seeds to germinate and grow. The secret to living the life of your dreams is to start living the life of your dreams today, in every little way you possibly can. ~ Mike Dooley
Gemini
(11th House) The New Moon on the Aries Equinox is a Moon that Gemini can also fully take advantage of. Your ruling planet, Mercury, which also enters Aries this weekend, will be conjunct the New Moon, bringing you along for the ride. Uncensored and unapologetic, when Mercury is in Aries we say what we mean and we mean what we say. This New Moon gives us the courage of our voices, and heralds an opportunity to assert your ideas, and speak up if you have something important to say. And with the added impetus of this New Moon of initiative, to also put those ideas and words into action. And when we speak with conviction from the heart, we can also use our voices for the greater good of a much larger whole. The New Moon in Aries is your wishing Moon, therefore dare to send your good wishes out into the world, in order to make your dreams a closer and more achievable, reality. Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it may bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country. ~ Anais Nin
Cancer
(10th House) The New Moon this week on the Aries Equinox, is a great time for new beginnings. Anything started now will be invested with energy, enthusiasm and a dollop of super-charged courage. If you are able to channel even a small amount of the potential contained within this Moon, you will be able to achieve far more that you could even possibly imagine. Look for innovative ways to promote yourself and what you do. Be seen. Let the world know that you are there. Invest yourself with the courage to believe in who you are and what you are capable of achieving. On March 25th, Mars will enter your sign, giving you an even greater forward momentum to follow through with initiatives that had been simmering on the back burner for ages. The New Moon in Aries is always a good moon for Cancer to create a plan, set new goals, reinvent your brand and what you do, or to instill everything you do with a new surge of vital energy. Begin somewhere; you cannot build a reputation on what you intend to do. ~ Liz Smith
Leo
(9th House) Many a Leo seems to have been struggling to keep the faith, and remember that tomorrow is another day. The New Moon on the Aries Equinox is trying to re-instill your faith in the future. And if you were to have a vision for the future, what might that look like for you? Where can you begin? In some way, the New Moon in Aries is trying to reinvest your outlook with some hope and maybe even a bit of enthusiasm, for the future. In some way you are being reminded of the word possibility. One way that can be reignited, is through travel, by exploring the world and its possibilities. Another way is by pursuing an interest, learning more about it, or expanding your knowledge through study and asking questions. Another way is to remember what it means to have faith in yourself and your own destiny. Use the courage of the New Moon in Aries to remind yourself that tomorrow is another day. A good affirmation for the Moon might be: May I be filled with the joy and enthusiasm of discovery and possibility.
Virgo
(8th House) Now that your ruling planet Mercury is also entering Aries this weekend, it positions you well to take advantage of the upcoming New Moon on the Aries equinox. When Mercury is in Aries it brings you the courage to use your voice, and your words, to say what you mean and mean what you say. And to do so with the intention to make some sort of profound difference. This can include defending, and speaking up for those that are voiceless, or who cannot speak for themselves. With the New Moon and Mercury sextile Pluto on the verge of entering Aquarius this week, it can bring a strong desire to reveal and talk about those stories and ideas that we usually don’t want to talk about. Mercury/Pluto is the truth teller. Even if some of those truths are hard to tell. Nothing is hidden long, and you cannot escape the truth when Mercury joins forces with Pluto. Use the New Moon to shine a light on the darkness, and transform problems through a willingness to confront those hard truths with honesty and courage. And maybe even a bit of humor. If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance. ~ George Bernard Shaw
Libra
(7th House) Now that your ruling planet is strong in its own sign of Taurus, use it to put your life in order, and take care of those necessary tasks that will enable you to do so: pay your taxes, create a manageable financial plan, make sure your papers are in order. We’ve all been living with a certain amount of uncertainty these past few years, having your life in order will bring you much needed security and stability. And if you are needing advice about this, use the New Moon on the Aries Equinox to get the advice and guidance that you are seeking. This is a great time for Libra to get counsel, grow your audience, and further cultivate those partnerships and alliances that are, or have the potential to be, mutually beneficial. Now that Mars will finally be entering Cancer on the 25th of March, Libra will be filled with a surge of energy and activity, and you will need all the help and assistance you can muster. Having the right allies on your side can make all the difference. Use the New Moon in Aries to set the intention to attract the best people/healers/teachers/clients/guides/allies to fill in any missing pieces and help you to establish your place in the world.
Scorpio
(6th House) The upcoming New Moon on the Aries Equinox is a great Moon to reorganize your everyday life, your schedule, and your routines. Organizing your space will not only make you feel more grounded, but support you in any new initiatives you may be starting in the near future. With an exact sextile to your modern ruling planet Pluto, this has an added component of reinvention and renewal. And so you can ask yourself: How can I best manage and use my time? Or: What needs sorting out in my everyday life? And if you were to embark on a plan for self-improvement and self-renewal, what would that look like for you? Jupiter/Chiron in Aries has been urging all of us to think more seriously about self-care, and Aries is a sign for Scorpio that supports your well-being. And through the sign of Aries there is a reminder here to get yourself moving. Look for something that motivates you to get started, that feels challenging, and will make you feel stronger, more invigorated, and more in control over your everyday life and destiny. The New Moon in Aries encourages you to start something new, begin a new regimen, or reinvest what you do with a greater sense of renewal and energy.
Sagittarius
(5th House) The New Moon on the Aries Equinox will be asking of you: How can you make more time for those things that you so enjoy, that inspire you (and us as you are doing it!), make your heart sing, and motivates you to do even more? Whether that be a much loved hobby, entering a competition that makes you feel energized, creating some sort of an adventure out of your everyday life, or anything that gets the feet moving and the blood rushing. The New Moon is here to tell you that you are here to live your life out loud, and that you are to be seen doing it. Knowing that you are under the spotlight for the next few weeks, dare yourself to show off, even a bit. Aries is your sign of personal self expression. So blow the dust off that old guitar, lace up the hiking boots, dance, sing, whatever it is that makes you feel alive. If you are only able to channel even a bit of this New Moon, you will be amazed at what you are are capable of doing, and how well you do it. Faeries come and take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the disheveled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame. ~ William Butler Yeats
Capricorn
(4th House) The New Moon on the Aries Equinox on March 21st has all the right elements to get you motivated and moving. And it’s situated very close to home. As a result this would be a fabulous moon to embark on some sort of renovation or home improvement project. Or to create your own exercise nook or area within your home, dedicated to self-care and self-renewal. This is a Moon that puts the emphasis on anything that makes you stronger, more active, motivated and energized. The Jupiter/Chiron conjunction in Aries has been reminding us all of the necessity for self-care in order to be in a better position to be of service, and active in the world. And the New Moon can serve as a catalyst for getting certain self-care initiatives in action. It can also serve to remind us of the importance of having healthy and well-established roots, and the importance of cultivating a deeper sense of comfort and belonging with where you came from, what your roots are, and how they inform all that you do. Return home to your heart, so you can return home to yourself. ~ Jessica Besser
Aquarius
(3rd House) As Pluto makes its first dip into your sign this coming week, there may already be some indications that your life, society and the world are due for some sort of significant renovation or transformation. Pluto does take light years (well actually 20) to move through your whole sign. But by the time Pluto leaves your sign 20 years from now, you won’t even recognize yourselves! And neither will we. You are all entering a profound era of personal self-realization and reinvention. And we’re all excited to see what you do with that! In the mean time, this week also welcomes in a New Moon on the Aries Equinox, just before Pluto takes its first dip into Aquarius. This is a Moon that for Aquarius is daring to open up your perspective in some sort of new and innovative way. This may come with a new idea, a conversation you had over coffee with friends, something you read or hear about on the news. It might have been there all along and you just didn’t realize it. But now there’s something new and exciting about it all, that’s set to inspire, move you, get you going. A good affirmation for this Moon might be: I embrace the possibility of new, exciting, and potentially mind-blowing possibilities.
Pisces
(2nd House) Now with Saturn newly entered your sign, those in the first third of the sign will be especially concerned with establishing themselves in a new and purposeful way. And the New Moon on the Aries Equinox can be just the sort of catalyst to get things moving. For contained within the New Moon in Aries is the promise and hope of what is yet to come. And once you know what you want to aim for, you are going to also be thinking about how to make your goals achievable and sustainable. Whether that means revising your current financial plan, re-tweaking your priorities, or re-thinking what you want to be spending your precious time, money and resources on. This Moon can bring up financial concerns. Or how you can improve your skills in a way that will also increase your self-worth. But perhaps just a important, or maybe more so, for Pisces, the New Moon in Aries asks you to focus on those things/activities/skills/people, that you value the most and how you can then make these more of a priority in your life moving forward. Action expresses priorities. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
