To most people, life after death is a big mystery. Even to students of metaphysics, information can be sparse and sometimes confusing.

Knowledge brings power and spiritual freedom. In the case of the subject of life after death, knowing what to expect brings you freedom from worries or any nagging doubts.

Perhaps this is why "deceased" friends and relatives who live in the spirit realms work hard to know exactly when a physical friend will finally leave their body. Thus, the first thing that happens to the newly departed spirit is a joyous reunion - a soul group party filled with joy and upliftment.

Then, more often than not, the legendary "tunnel of light" is never even noticed as the person is too busy recognizing their dearest spirit friends and they become swept up into the light-filled spirit realms without ever needing a tunnel to show the way.

After the soul family reunion, if the person was depleted by a long illness, they will be given energy treatments to bring their spirit body back into vibrant health. For the sake of familiarity, this will happen in a hospital-like setting. If the person looks old, they will soon be advised that they can alter their appearance because looks are flexible in the spirit world. Most spirits habitually choose to look like they did when they were about thirty years old.

Next, comes the life review sessions. In company with their higher self and guides, they go through their whole life in exquisite detail in order to integrate the entire experience in their consciousness. If you're telepathically sensitive, you may have found yourself thinking intensely of times you spent with a recently-deceased person. That's because they are thinking of you while reliving those scenes in their life review sessions!

Once settled in the spirit realms, they decide what interests them in terms of further education or gaining new skills. Some skills simply need enhancement. Music, for example, deals with sounds of greater depth and resonance than the physical equivalent. Art deals with colors of greater intensity and variety than those in the physical world. Science deals with subtle energies with great potential for healing and higher technology applications.
