The last few days, I’ve been cruising through my computer files to make room for new and exciting things. At first this felt like a daunting task sifting through years of information, data, photos, and journals. It felt kind of like being asked to clear out grandma’s attic or, worse yet, her basement. But it didn’t take me long to ascertain that I could simply back up a dumpster and toss it all.

By perusing a few files, I was utterly amazed at how far we’ve come over the past few years! After reading some of the articles I had stored, I realized I can just push the “delete all” button and start fresh. 

Why? Because we can now Google anything we want to know without having to store it. We have everything at our fingertips, or voice command if you’ve befriend Siri or Alexa. Technology is moving so fast, apps that used to be primo are becoming outdated faster than I can remember how to use them.

And all those important spiritual teachings that brought me to where I am now are irrelevant. I’ll be forever grateful for those teachings that reminded me of “Who I AM”. But they no longer hold any relevance for me. 

As a writer who journals nearly every day, it was beneficial to scan some of the words that allowed me to pat myself on the back for how far I’ve come. Indeed, we all need to do that from time to time. Whether you journal or not, you can certainly recall where you were 5 or 10 years ago vs. where you are today. How differently I interact with the world. And how much I allow to pass by because it no longer holds any value for me. 

There is a file that remains and will continue to be expanded upon. That is my poetry file, “Wisdom of the Inner Voice”, where the words appear to be timeless because they express the wisdom of my soul. These are the words that continue to circle back around revealing layers of realization I was not aware of at the time they were originally written. For the soul is ageless. It does not know time, nor is it attached to a particular persona, or a particular lifetime. It is adept at distilling the wisdom of all our experiences to be carried through all time and space as we continue to expand our consciousness. 

Now that I’ve created more space, it’s time to download an upgraded operating system on my computer. Just like my physical human body it’s been emptied of all the old files with lots of space for new and exiting ventures.  

I am now living in the moment, trusting that everything I need to know is inside of me, and everything comes to me at the perfect time. There is no need to store anything anymore. No teachings, knowledge, or preplanning required! Instead, I’m allowing life to be one Grand Adventure!
