Dear Friends,

During the last years of running my blog, I often shared with you little stories from my soul chosen hometown San Marcos La Laguna, in Solola, Guatemala. Some of you might remember that San Marcos LL is not only a simple little indigenous town in the magical highlands of Guatemala, but also an energy vortex place of this world, where thousands of traveler are passing thru every year to pick up some of the spiritual powers provided by nature.

People who are coming from every corner of the world, and belong to every income group and social class found around the globe. One of the themes over and over again discussed in workshops and teachings, is the topic of everybody needing to take personal self-responsibility when it comes to our financial needs in life.

Marshall Vian Summers invited us in his book “Living the Way of Knowledge“ to remember, that money is here to serve. You do not want to serve it. Money is a resource to be employed. It is here to serve. You do not want to become its servant. What does money serve for you? How do you use money? Do you preserve money and save it for future use? Do you live according to what you need or are you dominated by what you want?

Perhaps you are working too hard in your work in the world because you are requiring more money than you really need. Perhaps you have to work harder in the world because you need more than you have. You must find what is correct for you. However, to be able to find what is correct, you must know what is correct, and you must have the necessary criteria.”

What that means in essence, is that we profoundly need to check our personal core values when it comes to money, and make sure to act on them in our everyday life. A little while ago, I shared this article: “Spirituality And Money – In Balance And Harmony Between Spirit And Matter”, with further helpful advice.

So to lift the theme to higher vibration, the ones might have to shape up and start making their own income, while the others might have to let go of the idea of money as power and security tool and grow some spiritual balls instead! Each of you will know best for themselves, what direction you might be in imbalance with.

I’m a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of guy. I like to hit the open road, go where the wind takes me, and approach every day as an opportunity to strike out on a new adventure. I live life with the attitude that whatever happens happens, and as long as I’ve got air in my lungs, a spring in my step, and someone else’s money in my bank account, I’m good to go.

I guess you could say I’m just a free-wheeling, happy-go-lucky person who’s completely financially reliant on others.

I do what I want, when I want, and depend 100% on friends, family, and acquaintances for my meals and shelter. I don’t like to make plans, you know? That’s just not in my DNA. I’m the kind of guy who’s always up for a cross-country road trip on someone else’s dime. I’m totally cool with letting go, with not knowing where the day will take me. All I know is that I’ll be imposing on acquaintances for sometimes weeks at a time because they’ll feel too uncomfortable to kick me out, and then I won’t be able to leave when they want me to because the check from my sister hasn’t cleared. And that’s enough for me. I’m cool with that. It means I don’t need to rely on anyone but myself and an entire network of people who would rather support me than engage in an awkward conversation about the direction of my life.

And living as a free spirit is about so much more than what I do day to day; it’s a total philosophy of being. I greet each morning with a curious, enthusiastic outlook that embraces life with open arms, a smile on my face and an email to my Dad, asking him to call Verizon because I got a text from them saying I can’t make outgoing calls until he pays the bill. I don’t let anything hold me back—not fear, or social conventions, or the fact that I’m completely financially dependent on others for literally everything that I do.

Dear Ones, I hope you are interested for yourself in developing abilities that allow you a life of inner freedom and financial independency. Sure it is always scary to take full responsibility for our material safety and financial needs but if we do so, we also feel empowered to make all important and life changing decisions free of gravity.
