Here’s my spiritual guidance March/April 2024, covering the month beginning with the Pisces new moon at 9am on March 10th (in the UK).

I draw one card from the Thoth Tarot to explore the key energy of these four weeks, and then take a quick look at the astrology.

Spiritual guidance March/April 2024 from the Tarot

The major arcana cards continue this month, once again affirming that these are no ordinary times and that what happens now is going to shape the future for some time to come.

The Fool signals new beginnings and adventures, some of which will appear to come out of left field. There’s always an element of risk, daring, and surprises with this energy.

All the major arcana cards signify the working out of potent spiritual energies, but The Fool is the foremost of these. As the number 0, it represents your pure and powerful spirit entering into physical incarnation. It’s also the void of unlimited potential from which all things and anything emerges. Perhaps the closest we’ve come to understanding this void of potential scientifically is the discovery of dark energy and dark matter. You can read more about that on the NASA website. So, in a sense, all the other cards in the Tarot deck represent the many different aspects of this one Fool card.

The whole point of you as a soul becoming a physical being on this earth is to learn about yourself through a full and complete human experience. You “upload” the information you gather back to Source, who can then experience and know themselves more fully through your feedback. If you’re anything like me, this is a mind-blowing concept and hard to grasp with just the logical mind. But it is liberating and wonderful to know that the whole purpose of you being here, at the most basic level, is simply to be as fully and freely you as you can possibly be!

So over the next four weeks try to explore how deeply you understand and own the full extent of your origin as a spark of the divine All That Is. Then, ask yourself if you’re living according to that knowledge. That means not repressing, diminishing, or lessening yourself according to any external authority, rules, or taboos that are man-made. I’m not sure there are any who can honestly claim they are completely. Unfortunately, for a couple of thousand years now, Christianity has told us that we enter this world as sinful beings. The truth is there is no judgement on you from a vengeful God on high. Rather, Source has sent you here with their full approval and loving support to be and do you to the utmost of your ability. Read that again and let it sink into your awareness to the full. Source has sent you here with their full approval and loving support to be and do you!

So this month, notice how your thoughts and beliefs prevent and restrict you from being who you truly are. That tiger mauling the Fool’s leg is fear, which could prevent them from following the promptings that spiral out from their heart and soul. Fear of what others may think, fear of getting it wrong, fear of being judged or punished for not conforming to expectations.

In particular, the Fool can indicate repression around expressing the full range of human emotions, recognizing the beauty and sacredness of the body, sensuality and sexuality, and stepping outside of cultural norms. Where in your life do you need to take a risk, to dare to be different? What is your heart and soul yearning to be and do? Any fear you have around following your feelings is man-made, not emanating from the divine, and so like the Fool you can blithely ignore it. And now you know that you already have absolute approval for whatever your soul desires, you can trust yourself to go for it. The only potential punishment or retribution hanging over your head has its roots in patriarchal thinking, which is merely intent on survival.

You can see this unabashed freedom and joy in the world in very small children. They don’t censor any of their feelings, and their sense of play and fearlessness is astonishing. How can you remind yourself of that during the next four weeks? Treat your inner child to a spontaneous day out and indulge them to your heart’s content. Eat cake for breakfast, dance through the woods, jump in muddy puddles, laugh yourself to exhaustion at a silly film. Find the innocent magic and wonder in life again, however you best can.

Because the Fool represents Spirit and the divine from all which life flows, they’re always rooted in love, compassion, ideals, inspired vision, and wisdom. If not rooted firmly in this awareness of spirit and consciousness, then the Fool can become reckless, thoughtless, irresponsible, or delusional. The phrase I have arising in my mind is “from the sublime to the ridiculous.” You could see and experience both sides of the Fool this month, close to home and out in the wider world.

So bravely embrace and be open to the new and the unusual over the coming four weeks. Know that you are loved, you are protected. Trust yourself and the universe in what is unfolding and the curve balls life throws at you. Everything will work out. Allow something new and wonderful to emerge from the endless sea of possibility. It’s the perfect time to set off on an awfully big adventure.

There’s an eclipse of the Libra full moon on the 25th March which shows you where some things in your life have run their course. Let the past go and prepare for the new. Jupiter is conjunct Uranus in Taurus, so there are exciting innovations around the earth’s resources which could be surprising. After the full moon, and with Mercury retrograde from 1st April, take time to reflect carefully on how you can best make use of this opportunity for a radically changed future. Creativity and compassion are the keywords to help you manifest visions with the most possibility.
