Here William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council, talks about time and visiting the past. They also try to help us understand the present.

Time is something that does not exist.  It is a factor that you utilize, and for common agreement you envision time as a progress of activities.  In reality, it is not a progress of activities, it is an activity of now. 

If it were necessary for you to make entrance into the Civil War from your perspective in time now, you could, but it would not be likely. Do you understand?  You could because the Civil War is now; but tomorrow is now.  Do you see?  You speak of heaven being up and hell being down, and we have told you that heaven is not up, hell is not down; it is here. 

Years ago we were asked, "Where are we?"  Are we up there?  Over here?  Over there? 

And we told you, we are right here now.  When we leave his body, where have we gone?  No place; we are here.  Those of you who have relatives or friends that have left the material manifestation, they are no place but here and now.  Time does not exist. 

History has never existed, other than in the activities of those who needed certain experiences. 

It has been carried forward, the knowledge of that experience, but because it has been carried forward does not mean that it is in the past or that it really even happened.  Now, it is all very complicated, and to delve too deeply into such concepts can only confuse the issue more.
