Taurus is the astrological sign that is strongly connected to the physical/material world, security and safety. Its key phrase is “I Have”. It is Fixed Earth. Fixed sometimes means stubborn and resistance to change. Usually this New Moon cycle would be about expansion and growth of our sense of security. Well not this time. This New Moon cycle is asking us to connect with our inner strength and become empowered to be our best self in this time of tremendous uncertainty. People are still wanting things to go back to “normal”.  As we have said before there is no more normal. This Moon cycle is about inner transformation that will allow us to become empowered to change our world.

The Sun and Moon are travelling with Uranus at 06 degrees Taurus 24. This is another indication that profound change is what is needed. Astrologer Jeffery Wolf Green calls Uranus “Freedom from the Known”. Uranus is the planet of unpredictability so expect the unexpected this Moon Cycle. It is also the planet that supports us to open our Third Eye to become Cosmically Conscious. At this New Moon Saturn at 01 degrees Aquarius 41 (collective consciousness and the new way) is square (motivation for change and finding new ways of doing things) the Taurus trio. Saturn is opposite the Goddess Astraea at 04 degrees Leo 52. In Leo she asks us to be heart centered and compassionate. She is a symbol for balance. The Earth at 03 degrees Scorpio 24 creates a Fixed Grand Cross asking us to release what no longer serves us and support the Earth’s transformation.

The planetary guide for this Moon cycle is Venus currently at 15 degrees Gemini 00. She is travelling with Hygeia at 14 degrees Gemini 14 (Goddess of health and healing). Together they are asking us to heal duality and choose to unite in love. They in turn are guided by Mercury at 20 degrees Aries 42 (inspired new vision) and he is travelling with Eris at 23 degrees Aries 58 (discord and conflict or purposeful action). They are square (motivation for change) Pluto at 24 Capricorn 59 (transformation of society) and Jupiter at 26 Capricorn 31 (expansion of your spiritual vision).  Venus (love and awareness of others) is trine (ease and flow) the asteroid Juno Rx at 09 degrees Libra 05 (new ways of being in relationship) and Mars at 16 degrees Aquarius 10 (taking action to create the new way).  This planetary picture is very positive. BUT there are curves in the road ahead for this Moon cycle that are asking us to go within and find our personal path of transformation. Here are the significant activations.

April 25- Pluto in Capricorn turns retrograde (healing, release, and inner transformation).  When the outer planets retrograde we feel the energy most acutely not just personally but Universally around the shift and again when the planet moves direct. Pluto will be in retrograde motion until Oct 04.

• April 27 to May 11- Mercury visits Taurus (focus on what is of true value and be the best you).  
• May 07- Scorpio Super Full Moon (transformation and re-birth)
• May 11- Saturn in Aquarius turns retrograde (healing the collective consciousness). Saturn is retrograde until Sept 29.
• May 13- Venus retrograde in Gemini until June 25. The Goddess of love will become Morning Star June 03. While she is retrograde write your new story and become the spiritual warrior when she begins her new cycle.
• May 14- Jupiter in Capricorn turns retrograde (being guided by your spiritual consciousness). Jupiter (inner growth and expansion) will be retrograde until Sept 12.
• May 20- Sun enters Gemini (choose to unite in love)

 

All this retrograde energy asks us to review our lives and release what no longer serves us so we can become renewed.
