Spiritual light is very unique. It has consciousness. The ancients discovered long ago that white light separates into seven rays and each ray has its own frequency, color, and distinctive qualities to it. The seven rays are very mystical. They are seven pathways back to God. An Ascended Master is appointed by Cosmic Hierarchy to serve as the Chohan of one of the rays. These masters, being imminently qualified, guide and teach us how to use the light-energy of their ray and give us our initiations. Having a degree of self-mastery on each ray plays an integral part in our own spiritual development. Although your first teacher is always your Higher Self, following the path of the masters provides you with a way to make significant progress on the sacred path. Through the path of initiation we acquire the discipline and self-mastery that helps us to spiritually accelerate and raise our consciousness to higher octaves.

The Chohans

Cosmic Hierarchy is a very ordered system and studying the lifetimes of the Ascended Masters helps us to attune with them. It also shows us how they earned their various positions and offices in the Great White Brotherhood. For example, many of the lifetimes of El Morya reflect his initiations and mastery of the qualities found on the blue ray that include following the will of God, power, and faith. In some lifetimes he held positions of authority as a statesman, in others a king or ruler. El Morya was Melchior (one of the three wise men), Thomas Becket (the Lord Chancellor of England), and Sir Thomas More (the man for all seasons). One of his most recognizable lifetimes was King Arthur of Camelot.

The First Ray is the blue ray and the Chohan is El Morya. The blue ray is the ray of power but it also has other qualities like faith, protection, will, and strength flowing through it. El Morya teaches us what it means to follow God’s Will, the wisdom behind it, and how to come into alignment with our Higher Self. The throat chakra is a power center and corresponds to the blue ray. Positive uses of the blue ray occur when we use our throat chakra correctly. If we are on a power trip and using our speech to control others, saying unkind things, speaking untruths, gossiping, using four letter words and cursing, then we are misusing the energies of this chakra. As the Chohan of the blue ray (First Ray), El Morya teaches us about God’s will, faith, and shows us how to master the power of the energies of this center. A fully awakened throat chakra has sixteen petals.

The Second Ray is the yellow ray and the Chohan is Lord Lanto. This is the ray of wisdom, illumination, and enlightenment. Lanto guides us on our personal quest for knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment and helps us to understand many of the wisdom teachings. Having been a wise sage in several of his past lives in ancient China he is highly qualified for this position in hierarchy.Lord Lanto initiates us on the correct use of the energies of the crown chakra. When this chakra is fully awakened it blossoms and flowers with the inner light of wisdom and illumination and is called the thousand-petaled lotus. This lotus symbolizes the halo of light often seen around the head of the Buddhas and saints. Some misuses of this center are spiritual and intellectual pride, ignorance and narrow-mindedness.

The Third Ray is the pink ray and the Chohan is Paul the Venetian. The pink ray is the ray of love and all that we associate with it like compassion, kindness, charity, and beauty. Paul the Venetian teaches us how to set healthy boundaries and cultivate the beautiful qualities flowing through the pink ray. If our heart needs healing he guides us through the process. He also teaches and trains us in the gift of discernment. Paul the Venetian, was an artist in several of his past lives. This taught him to see the beauty in everything including the soul. Today he provides us with the path of self-mastery that teaches us how to correctly use the pink ray, develop our heart chakra, and use the creative energies constructively. We learn to be more sensitive and compassionate towards others. When the heart chakra is fully opened the lotus of the heart blossoms and unfolds its twelve petals. Each of these petals contains God qualities like harmony, wisdom, and gratitude that enhance the quality of love. The color of a healthy awakened heart chakra ranges from a soft pink to a deep ruby red.

The Fourth Ray is the white ray and the Chohan is Serapis Bey. Flowing through the white ray are the qualities of purity and harmony. Serapis Bey teaches us the value of self-discipline and how to keep our harmony. These are mandatory if we hope to be successful and gain self-mastery on the path of the seven rays.

The Fifth Ray is the green ray and the Chohan is Hilarion. This is the ray of healing and wholeness. Self-healing is a must on the path. You have heard the saying, “Physician heal thyself.” When you work on healing yourself you gain a certain wisdom that is uniquely yours. This then becomes your gift that you offer to others. Hilarion guides us to heal our body, mind, and soul with an emphasis on wholeness.

The Sixth Ray is purple and gold and the Ascended Lady Master Nada is the Chohan of this ray of service and ministration. She teaches us the wisdom, beauty, and grace that come from nurturing, helping and serving others.

The Seventh Ray is the violet ray and the Chohan is Saint Germain. This is the ray of freedom, forgiveness, mercy and transmutation and the ray of light descending for Aquarius. Many people feel very close to Saint Germain. As the sponsor of the Aquarian Age, he teaches us the true meaning of alchemy and how to use the violet flame, also called the “miracle flame.” The more you use it, the more you will come to understand why it is called this.
