My dear friends, 

This glorious life that is ours is a wonderful gift, is it not? It becomes even more wonderful when we become very clear about why we are here. On the Earth, I mean. At this most extraordinary time. 

Have you decided yet why you are here? Oh, yes, yes, this is a decision that you get to make. And do you want to know something interesting? Many people go through their whole lives and never make it. They never actually decide why they are on the Earth, or what they are doing in their bodies. 

Have you decided? Yes? Then what is your answer? Why ARE you here? I'd really like to know. It would be fascinating to me to hear from you on this…. 

Now, suppose you decided that you were here to be a spiritual helper. Can you imagine yourself in such a role? What do you think it would take for you to be that? What would it require of you, what would it ask of you? Would you have to change jobs? Leave your partner? Alter how you eat? Or talk? Or think? What does being a spiritual helper mean, anyway? 

Spiritual helpers are what the world would benefit from having more of right now. It would really be nice if we could find some way to cause more of them to step forward. I suspect that many people will, in fact, "show up" in that way if things get much worse on this planet. But it would fabulous if they showed up before then--to help us avoid that outcome. 

In September, from the 18th through the 20th, I will be presenting an extraordinary Spiritual Renewal Week in Medford, in which much of what we discuss will have to do with why we are all here. You were meant to be completely self-expressed and fully realized. Any less than that is not okay with the Universe and is outside The Plan. 

This week, why not make a commitment to take whatever steps feel right for you to lead you to full self-realization... 

I'm going to try to do the same. Even if I take a step and then step backward again, the fact that I moved forward for even a little bit can make a difference. First, I'm finding out what it's like to be at the next level. Second, I'm realizing that I have the strength and the courage to go to that level. And third, I'm understanding that I can go back to that last level, and stay there, as quickly and as soon as I want unless I decide to stay at this new, higher level. 

This is not a small understanding for me. All my life I thought the Road to Enlightenment was only for saints and philosophers. 

I was wrong. 

So let's move out. Let's move up. Let's give the world what it so desperately needs right now. Let's become Spiritual Helpers, and let's do so by helping ourselves to a large portion of our own divinity.
